Top 5 sci-fi alien races/empires I'd love to be enslaved by

1) Ur-Quan (Star Control series)

They either put you on your homeworld and trap you there under an impenetrable slave shield or make you a battle thrall. I think that's some fair treatment when they could just kill ya.

Plus they're badass. It'd be an honor for me to fight in their campaign.

2) Borg

They ain't pretty. And they ain't smart. I mean they'd let the damn crew of the Enterprise beam aboard w/ weapons when you know those slick assholes were not up to anything agreeing w/ their agenda of assimilating all.

But I bet it'd be damn awesome to be part of a grand collective like that. Probably some sort of major mind fuck. Plus maybe 7 of 9's regen thingy pod will be next to mine

3)Minbari Federation (Babylon 5)

A society of warriors, priests, and builders. Granted I'm not enough of a tank for the warrior caste, I probably would find a calling in the Third Fane of Chu'Domo and begin the search of enlightenment and reason. Not to mention kick ass. Their priests are basically warrior monks.

And it'd be sweet to tool around the galaxy in one of these badboys

4) Old Empire (Dune)
Thinking machines are abolished, forcing humans to achieve their highest physical and mental capabilities to replace tasks previously done by machines.

Though, this probably didn't bode well for the average dude, probably making him a slave or cannon fodder.

Still it'd be nice to have some spice melange. Mmmmmm melange.

5)Galactic Republic.

I don't know much about the actual fiction here. But it seems like shit was right for a long ass time. 'nuff said

Hearing about other people's adventures doesn't bother me, but I keep my shit private.

As far as the gay connection goes it's kind of funny how gay stores can have the most lewd ads on the outside but any straight porn shop is hidden away and more nondescript than a fallout shelter.

Again I don't have any problem with it but I live near a huge gay community in Chicago. Some of the places are downright hilarious as to what they have for "window shoppers"

Also, the gay pride parade here is pretty notorious for public nudity. I also heard it's a great time for all but I haven't made it yet.

I want to know why she's technically not a virgin

I hope they keep the exploration in this.

I don't want any fucking arrows or glowing things telling me where to look.

I'm so fucking tired of that shit.

Is it only me, or is anyone else getting fed up with all this 'HD Remake' business?

Sure, I'm all for people getting to play the games for the first time with a re-release being brought in-line with the current generation, but it feels like a lot more of these bundles are being released these days instead of new, original IP.

I have a real love for the Resident Evil series, but I can't see myself buying this.  A new entry into the series?  Then, yes.  It's great to see people who have never played the games so keen to jump on board though.

I take it on a case by case basis. On some instances I think it's great. For titles like Beyond Good and Evil, Ico, SOTC it brings the game to new people. I for one plan on getting a PS3 this year and that's mostly because of the Ico collection.

If it's a remake of a game that sold well or was some sort of success I think it's fair to look at if that studio is doing anything else. Look at the God of War Collection. I don't have the numbers but something tells me that the 1st two games were sold extremely well here. So a HD version seems like a cash in.

But since we got a GoW3 and the PSP game I think it's fair to say having that collection released didn't delay the real deal significantly.

I go through phases where I guzzle tea for some time then don't have any for a while.

I don't drink it for caffeine or a pick me up, just because I like the taste.

My favorites:

darjeeling
english and irish teas
oolong w/ jasmine
rooibos
and decent herbal concoctions

An ex got me this expensive as fuck cast iron teapot that was forged by 7 japanese craftsmen. it rules

If I do drink coffee I take it like Dice likes her Materia, Black

Haven't tried that many teas.... :O
I like my peppermint, [actual, not coffee shop] japanese green tea, and orange pekoe.... maybe I should start diversifying...

I hate black tea.  I liked red materia, it told me, when FF7 first came out, that it was worth pursuing the brought-red pixels on the screen.

I have this japanese tea, since i can't read the lingo i can't give the name. it's got roasted rice kernels and green tea.

I usually don't like green tea. to me it tastes like fish food flakes smell.

You might think this is from years back but it's still alive and kicking:

Wearing pants so baggy that you can see underwear. Last weak I saw a dude w/ pants so baggy I saw the whole of his boxers and smelled his ass a mile away.

I never played 4. It came out in my exile from gaming

1,2 and 3 were some of the best times I had on PSX.

If they are bringing 4 in on 360 I'll be a happy littler fucker.
