ill be honest when i first heard about harry potter i foolishly thought it was lord of the rings for kids. but when i finally watched the movies i liked it and it should surprise no one that i like hermione :D i have not yet seen DH1 yet been meaning too.

There is a great amount of "young adult" fiction with awesome female main characters/leads. besides harry potter check out Hunger Games and The Golden Compass.

She is obviously a Death Eater. (Let it be known Yoda and I have some pretty geeky PM's about Harry Potter, mostly from me though)

Also, Vanguard - I am truly wishing you all the best.

You guys need to include me in that.

I love me some HP, mainly it's me asking Star' about details of the story I have forgotten about.

I tell you what: previously I have read the books right before the movies came out to get the story right only to be somewhat disappointed in the movies because they change or leave out details. But after a year or so of not having read them and forgetting the subtle points I'm enjoying the last few movies greatly.

Can't fucking wait for DHp2

Sorry to hear that... let me cheer you up w/ this crazy story

at work iblurt out "who's pumped for the new harry potter? I am" and this chick goes on this HUGE rant. To summarize:
1) Harry Potter has driven teens to suicide because it causes demons to become attached to them

2)something about human spirits don't have enough power to materialize into ghosts and shit, so when we see ghosts they're actually demons trying to deceive us

3)ill health and addiction is caused by demons attaching themselves to our body, trying to bring us to hell.

It literally was the craziest fucking thing I have ever heard and came out of nowhere. I wish I could remember it all exactly.

She also said she got all this from the bible (king james)

I'm bumping this b/c I didn't want to draw Dark Souls thread too far off topic, and plus it seems like quite a few people still play this.

(and I have a lot of questions)

My question is I finally got some plate armor but I don't like how my guy just flops on the ground instead of doing a good combat roll. If I boost my agility or endurance will that improve his movement to where he can do a good roll or is it simply impossible to roll in plate?

The info in the manual is scanty. I ask because certain items, like the purple flame shield, require certain stats to use and I was wondering if I had high enough stats I could wear the plate and move like i'm in wizard's clothes.

After working all weekend I got hammered last night. Last thing I remember was pouring the rest of my wine into a 7 and 7....then I woke up at 6am w/ a hangover.

I haven't done shit all day, except attempt to play Demon's Souls. That's not a game you can play casually, let me tell you.

I have some paperwork to do but I feel like Michael Scott in that one Office where he pushed off signing papers until the very end.

So I'm going to go get some hot dogs from Hot Dougs

we watched Billy Madison last night on dvd... I say that because it feels weird to see that movie on anything but a VHS.

Good news.

In a related note I got caught in the crowd after the gay pride parade in Chicago.
5846  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Have you ever returned a game you bought? If so, which game was it? on: June 27, 2011, 09:17:15 AM
It is a good game... I just realized that I'll probably only play fighting games with a group of friends.

I also wish I could return the atari jaguar.
5847  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Have you ever returned a game you bought? If so, which game was it? on: June 27, 2011, 09:09:01 AM
I've never actually taken a game back but there are games I wish I could have.

That robocop v terminator game on SNES comes to mind

I wish I could take back Super Street Fighter 4, because I never will probably play it.

Went to target to get some things.

+1 and I were walking around laughing at dumb shit like highschoolers.

We found this pet brush and on the case it said "you've got to be shedding me!"

We almost pissed our pants laughing at that.

Then I got a step stool out, and I went to the top and farted.

We laughed so goddam hard it probably looked like I was having a heart attack.

I pre-ordered the LOTR extended blu-ray boxset on best buy. it's only 70. regular price is over 100 bux. I don't need to own a lot of movies w/ netflix. But LOTR will get a lot of mileage.

I thought that the chairs at barbershops could be lifted all the way up into the ceiling, like in that old bugs bunny cartoon
