People talk about going on media blackouts for games.

Portal 2 is one of them for me.

6082  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dead Island (yes, it's a rpg) on: March 17, 2011, 03:22:20 PM
From what I heard on a gameinformer podcast the game tries to be as serious as the trailer is, then there are some almost slapstick moments in the game.

There's some sort of item creation system where you can make goofy things, but it's not as over the top as dead rising.

I'm interested though, as long as it's fun. I didn't play left for dead or dead rsing all that much, so I'm not zombied out

So now I can't swim in deep water because I think there is a giant sea serpent in there with me and it is going to eat me :P

Seems to be a lot of that going on up there.

My point is that at this point I don't have enough money for a PS3, especially only for 5-10 exclusives.

Will I get one down the line? probably since I'm a greedy gamer
6088  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Nintendo 3DS Launching at $249.99 on March 27 in the US on: March 16, 2011, 04:02:20 PM
Is anyone going to get the DS for sure within the launch period?

There was a demo kiosk downtown Chicago but I didn't go. I imagine it's not long before we start seeing them set up in retail outlets.

How much fuel supply do we have access to for nuclear energy anyway? We're dealing with some of the rarest and hardest to get materials on earth. If we decided for a big nuclear push, and other nations did the same, would there be enough supply?

I'm kind of surprised after all this time 360 still has the graphics edge in some games.

That's the reason I got it in the 1st place, Oblivion apparently runs better on the 360.

If things are going to remain as they are I'll probably never get a PS3, as I figured at some point games released on both would start to look better on ps3
