Was playing the +1 in GoldenEye and I was impressed. In 1hit killz she held her own and even had the lead at a point. She had fun, which is cool. I'll have to get more classic nintendo games. She said she'd play Ocarina if I got it. I'll probably get that, mario kart, and maybe diddy kong racing in the future (i liked diddy kong!)

What's funny is she tried the campaign for Goldeneye and couldn't do anything. Interesting considering how decent she was at pvp.

I HATED PLAYING NEW GAMES when the memory card is FULL.. ;____;
That happened to me mooore than enough.

I was LOLing at the "free space" left on the card after I deleted age old FF8 and Risk save data. It's really amazing how far flash memory has come. I couldn't hold one of my longer word docs on this thing.

Yesterday was my birthday. Nothing extravagant occurred, but was still nice hanging out with some friends. Today, sore throat, then a headache with slight dizziness. Great aftermath! :p

Happy Birthday my good sir!

Not surprising, the japs like it easy.

If you can't level grind to beat something then it's too hard!

Holy Shit! Where did this come from? That's fantastic! Thanks for sharing.

YW!

I played that game countless hours with my friend in HS. We'd have a treaty to kill off all the CPU players first then fight each other until the end.

That remains the longest time I played a single game in one sitting. We started playing at about 7pm then played all night until about 8am then went and got some tacos from this 24hour taco stand.

It's really fun, if a bit antiquated now. If you like fucking around w/ psx games pick it up.

I thought of the game because I was playing resident evil last night, tried saving but my memory card was filled. It was filled w/ Risk saves :)

A version of this at the end of the night

this was a good call your bluff type game

And we didn't play this but saw others playing. The art on the cards was simply stunning

When we're playing werewolf everyone was drunk and rowdy. I leaned over and told +1 that we should have a threesome w/ this one chick. She said nah but I think I said it loud enough for other people to hear.

Oh well. I was hammered.

I just made an awesome breakfast burrito with leftover steak, red pepper, eggs, and tons of cheese.

Immediate hangover cure.

Just got a big, gorgeous complete Sherlock Holmes book. Cost a pretty penny, but I just couldn't resist.

Also picked up all the books in a Song of Ice and Fire

Yeah there's no doubt better prices can be had online. But if you're in the market for a system and don't feel like fighting on ebay for something that might not look exactly right these old stores are best.

The one I was at today had numerous nes, genesis, atari, colecovision, a fucking vectrex, jaguar, snes, master system, 32x, etc and so on and so forth.

For pretty good prices too, all boxed w/ controllers and a game.

I'm playing Resident Evil for the 1st time since it came out...

FULL MOTION VIDEO

edit: was having a damn blast w/ Res Evil, got used to the controls, played Moonlight Sonata, etc. then I tried to save and my fucking memory card was filled.

Risk saved games nontheless.

My local non-corporate game store is full of jackasses who sell mainly Fifa and guitar hero type games.

I will not advertise them.

I'm feeling rather spritely as of late and rode the bus down to a retro-games shop on Clark by Belmont street in Chicago.

The place is PACKED with all consoles, games, controllers, that you can think of. They have basically every system you can think of, and tons of games for each. Some cartridge or disc only, but a lot of them in the original box.

The place is big, staff is friendly (why wouldn't they be, they work in a fucking awesome store), and prices are reasonable. If you want the SNES chrono trigger in a mint box, you'll pay for it.

I picked up
G-Police (ps1) in the case w/ manual for $3
Resident Evil (in the original "big" ps1 box w/ manual) for $25
Goldeneye (game only) $15 bux.

If you buy a disc game they put it into a fancy machine that cleans and repairs the disc.

Right down the block is an amazing comic book shop as well

So I know I'll be a regular customer there.

One thing of note, their PS1 and PS2 selection wasn't as mind blowing as I thought it'd be. But they did have a decent amount, just not a lot of rare looking RPG type games.
