Fair enough.
But since this is a movie thread I'm going to have to demand you see Drive Angry. Consider it mental graffiti from me to you =D

To each their own. But I have a feeling if you owned a business, or a house, or had your car messed with you probably wouldn't appreciate it as a outlet for repressed emotions or as a statement on society.

Ridiculous.

What statement does spraying paint all over everything make? It just screams to me of juvenile rebellion.

I spent my childhood in chicago in a neighborhood that transitioned from white to hispanic very quickly. I can't tell you how much fun we had cleaning all that "art" off of our garage and house.

Exit Through the Gift Shop

Amazing. That guy is amazing. One day I need to get up and do something, not exactly like that, but along those lines. Just hit the road and spread art everywhere.

I loved the art that banksy, space invader, and a few others did...

But I absolutely can't stand the ones that are just being assholes and straight up vandalizing. In the beginning of the movie you see all sorts of that, people just spraying gallons of paint on passing trains, or just running down a subway corridor spraying as they went.

Same thing as the clown who tagged his little cartoon face all over.

But the guys like banksy who placed their stuff somewhat strategically and carried some form of beauty or message was very cool. My favorite is the one who did the shadows coming off the bench

Haven't seen enough of it yet, but I bet it has some character progression and other basic RPG elements.

Favorite things to do in Oblivion:
-Bump into things on tables and such, watching them go flying.
-Talk to someone then jump in the air. Having a conversation while levitating is very gratifying

Last night (while playing Oblivion all night) I watched a movie called Gamers on hulu. It's about MMO addiction. It's nothing new, and to be honest I kind of prefer Second Skin.

Huh, was expecting a cover change, maybe the 360's on both or something. The PS3 looked like it'd be too racy to fly by the ESRB - hell, it may be anyway and we'll see either some touching up or a whole new cover!

... I hate how prudish America can be at times.

They'll probably cover the game with a sleeve that has generic art on it.

But it's funny what movies can get away with (I'm thinking of the limitless teenage sex-romp comedies that have half naked chicks on the cover)

I plan on getting this at some point. I'm up for the challenge. And a new challenge, not endless random encounters, or cheap enemies, or a lack of poultices. I want my gaming instincts challenged.

Are you sure this game existed?

Sorry that's not it.

This will haunt my dreams.

6357  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Re: Question about ebay etiquette and protocol on: March 01, 2011, 02:21:12 AM
I did some reading and did see that buyer pays for return shipping.

Thanks for the reply, the protection thing ebay has is pretty easy to understand actually.

I'll probably just get one from a shop next time and pay the extra 20 or so for a clean and tested model.

6358  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Question about ebay etiquette and protocol on: February 28, 2011, 11:33:02 PM
So I bought a genesis off a guy for $15 +$15 in shipping. Description claimed it works and let me copy and paste some text for you from the thing:
Quote
Condition:
Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. See the sellerís listing for full details and description of any imperfections

I only accept PayPal.
Payment is expected within 48 hours after auction has ended.
All Items are sold AS IS.
I DO NOT accept returns.

First off: I tried cleaning it out pretty thoroughly and no improvement. Tried two games and both did not work. Basically the problem is the visuals look like an NES did when it'd start freaking out. All blocked up
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z70/Chips347/940f12f5.jpg

I cleaned the carts off w/ alcohol using qtips.

Cleaned the console pins off w/ alcohol and a small gentle brush (supposed to be for cleaning bridgework)

So I contacted the guy and he said he'd apply a full refund but I'd have to pay for return shipping. I personally think that's BS because the product is not what was advertised.

So what would you guys do? I'm not an experienced EBAYER by any stretch.

Should I try more cleaning options?
Should I send it back and pay for return shipping?
Should I demand he pays for the return shipping?

The worst RPG is whatever Eusis' favorite RPG is.

Or the next big release that isn't quite what people expected
