The tune in that ridiculous "trailer".... is that a melody from another song?

I watched that thing twice and that song sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. I'm also on suicide watch because I watched that twice.

Yeah it was familiar.  I'm thinking it might be Asian.

Go get +1 (as you call her haha) to hide all knives, and make sure you don't sleep alone.  We need some Yoda still at The Fan for a bit more. =(

EDIT: Otherwise...to watch it twice...I think Freud wants to have a word with you...

Tell Freud I'll holler at him later.

Looks like they caught it, link doesn't work

and sadder looking... but it's so me and my friends can laugh at - I'd never want her in a game.

I like David Bowie at times like this.  He was in The Prestige playing as Nicola Tesla... and he didn't sing so much as a note that wasn't the wonderful sonorant tones natural speaking voice.  I love.

Is this for real?! I had this movie for years and haven't watched it yet. I feel like such a fool

Molly was my personal pick from TBC

We just finished the 3rd season of the wire.

More awesomeness.

Just finished the last of BSG. I haven't watched it since it aired originally.

Man I'm a wreck. Got a little misty eyed there.

I like the end as a whole, but the jump into present day could've been done w/o. Especially when they show stock footage of japanese toy robots and a up-close shot of ronald moore reading a national geographic.

The series has it's pros and cons but all things considered it's one of my favorites. Deep Space 9, BSG, and Babylon 5 are my top sci fi shows.

even with "temporarily out of stock" I went ahead and placed an order.

I haven't read through all of Amazon's T&C's, but IMO if a major company like them makes a price listing error, they should have to eat the cost. It's like "Bank error in your favor" from Monopoly.

Now they may be able to get away with it for anyone who ordered after "Temporarily out of stock" (as it'll no doubt switch to "totally out of stock" for that listing).

But for anyone who ordered while it was still listed in stock, if they don't get it at the price Amazon listed it, I'd file a fuckin' class-action lawsuit and get all buyers in on it. There's gotta be some consumer-based firm that would love to take on a lawsuit involving pricing errors for a major online retailer.

(does anyone know of any prior cases like this?)

I'm no expert but my friend who jumps on every crazy sale and numerous "fuck ups" like this said Amazon never honored a fuck up. I couldn't say if they were listed as out of stock or temp out of stock.

Rand is a huge pussy so far in book two. He dogs his friends, then wants to run away and hide when that's obviously not an option. Yeah the most powerful magic user in their realm is going to be fooled by you hiding in your main squeeze's room. *rolleyes*

And when any of the boys is thinking about women and thinks to himself that "I wish rand were here, he knows about women" and then next chapter "I wish Perrin was here, he knows about women" is annoying.

OTHER THAN THAT I LIKE IT

The voice acting improves. Well, for the most part. I remember lots of awkward sounding lines, but it *has* been a while.

Which anthology *did* you get? The one with 5 and 6, or the one with 4 and CT?

I've played through most of 7 and 8 (was in HS at the time. Probably got bored or something)

Never touched 9

Played most of X when it was released but I rented it, never finished.

Never played 12

Never played 5 and 6.

He gave them to me straight up because he's moving. Some of the discs are in poor condition but I'm not complaining. Nice guy.

I have no hope of this going through but it's worth a shot.

Fuckin eh lol

A friend gave me all the PSX and PS2 FFs (except for X-2 and one of the PSX anthologies) so I found myself playing through some of X today.

Man looking back on it the game has such a sluggish beginning and the voice acting is pretty hilarious. But, combat is a lot of fun and I like the variety of battles. Also, Lulu's boobies

Just trying to have a simple discussion about what classifies as an RPG in general. And since arguably both Heavy Rain and RDR are on the fringe of what makes an RPG and also that heavy rain was thoroughly mentioned in editors lists( while games like The 3rd Birthday are in the single player RPG forum here, and games like RDR are left out of the mix) I though I just see what everyone thought about that.

So my reason for citing RDR is that if you stretch the the definition of RPG far enough (as it was to include graphic adventures [and yes I know these are included in RPGfan coverage]) what falls under that umbrella or not?

how come Heavy Rain was mentioned but not Red Dead?

... Did you even pay attention to the category's title before you posted? Or the description for it? RPGFan's covered graphic adventures for quite awhile, and Heavy Rain's similar enough to that style of game. Red Dead's pretty far from being like either, especially graphic adventures.

Yes I did pay attention to that, thanks. But some editors in their own lists mentioned heavy rain, thus making it open season for discussion.

I'm referring to the inclusion of heavy rain into the general realm of role playing games.
