This summer was the first time I did a full yoga class. Before my only exposure was Wii fit (lol)

It was a 90 min class aimed at athletic types. I lost about 2lbs in sweat and at certain points I almost slipped in my puddle of sweat lol.

Well it got easier but there was some advanced stuff I could not do. I guess it takes some people years to get to that level. I went to about 5 classes all in all.

The 90 min classes are my favorite. Especially ones with lots of Vinyasa, whereas in Hatha I just fall asleep. =P

But there's lots I have done... Power (it's too early in the AM for me) and Yin (I can't stay still for so long) and others.

It was a vinyasa style class. There are certain poses I couldn't do unless i stretched for them every day for years. Also, some of the stuff where you wrap your forearms around your legs and put all your weight on the palm of your hand? forget it.

Whenever people say to me Yoga isn't real exercise I politely shoot them in the face (not really).

The Guardian Legend...

FUCK! That game is amazing. Noone's done anything like it since. Talk about a really interesting setup for a game of that time. It's probably the biggest standout game of my childhood, along with Mario 3. A remake would probably end up something like a cross between Metroid: Other M and Starfox. So full of opportunities though.

BTW: I thought that that game did an amazing job in terms of overall world expansion. Probably one of the best until a few generations later when Ocarina of Time came out.

Has anyone ever seen anything worthwhile in those bins on the counter of old games in paper sleeves?

FFX was the last game I rented from Blockbuster. I got it twice. Played it about 30-40 hours and then realized renting a game for 3-4 days for about 7 bux was dumb.

Never finished it.

I thought it ruled though.

Anyone heard of this? It's the guys behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 and it's hilarious. Now they have a site where they sell audiotracks to be played along side new hollywood movies such as Twilight and they're very good.

But they also do a live broadcast every few months from some theater that's simulcast to movie theaters around the country. Tonight they're doing the original House on Haunted Hill w/ Vincent Price.

They also make fun of some PSAs and other educational shorts. Last time they had this movie from the 60s on GRASS. Not dope but just blades of grass. Little kids making these pagan looking dolls out of mud and grass. Soooo funny.

Best thing I ever did was going to Chinatown and getting a good wok.

My thai basil chicken is as good as the shit you get in the restaurants.

Dice, nice art!

I, too, will be receiving this game shortly, and I wanted to know what difficulty setting to pick.  I'm an RPG veteran, but I also don't obsess over making myself as powerful as possible, especially if the game warrants multiple playthroughs.

My chief concern is:  is normal so easy that I will be bored with the gameplay, and is hard so difficult that I'll become frustrated to the point of disinterest?

I played it on normal. There were some difficult fights and bosses but most of the game went smoothly. I usually play RPGs on the normal setting (except Ys 7, could have gotten away w/ playing that on a harder setting) but FPSes I play on hard or veteran.

^Fine choice.

Also, if you know your Hinduist lore, DDS is buried in all kinds of symbolism.

I don't. I recognize some very Hindu names but besides Nirvana I don't know what they mean.

Aren't most of the demons based on entities from most of the word religions as well?

If the game had some sort of codex it'd vault it into even greater heights.

Looks awesome. I'm happy they made the combat more action oriented. I have nothing against the old style of play, but you have to admit that console gamers don't want to sit there and pause. They want to press a button and fuck guys up. If they can deliver on a great story and good character development, then this game will appeal to a broader audience than Origins.

I'm in the minority I guess. For the bigger battles (like that big mother dragon in the urn of sacred ashes quest) I loved pausing and setting my tactics. Fighting wave after wave of darkspawn grunts was good for just hackin and wackin

I'll pick up the game either way, esp if they put in as much work to the world's history and lore. I fucking love that shit.
