today I learned that a character can become "lost" if you fail a revival and then they are gone forever. yet another stupid game mechanic to make me reload the file lol
Also I wish I hadn't made a priest and a bishop now. Wish I just had 2 bishops instead >_> too lazy to grind a replacement for the priest though

I will complain that there is no digital manual with the game. A new player like me is most likely going to be confused when they see a stat called "PIE" much less know what it actually does. I know it's piety and affects being able to be a priest/bishop class but I still have no idea what the stat actually does. I could look it up of course, but games shouldn't require you to look up basic crap like this elsewhere
I went with the female dwarf as my main. I've noticed the "main" characters have different colors than the ones you can make. Is there any way to change the colors of other party members you are making?

Most Gundams are Slow to start. Gundam SEED was incredible in the second half.
Gundam 00 started off especially slow I thought. There was almost no interaction between the main characters for the first 4 episodes or so and they didn't really tell you anything about the characters either. It felt like "boom anime characters in mechs fighting and stuff!" and I almost gave up on it.

turn order is just based on your agility rating right? I don't know what you mean about things being left to chance in battle, it really didn't feel that way to me.
I've only played EO3 though

Yeah I saw my friend playing Chaos Wars and decided not to get it despite some of the characters in it (from growlanser and gungrave especially). The whole idea of cross over RPGs is kinda a turn off for me.
As others have said, there really isn't anything like Dragon Force. Alisha: Yggdra Union is similar in some ways but also not. It does have a military campaign feel and the battles are similar in that you don't actually have much control once the clash/battle occurs but other than that they are very different. Yggdra Union is extremely linear by comparison.

I bought Basilisk recently and had the choice of DVD or Blueray for the same price. The blueray might look better, it might look the same for all I know. I decided to go with DVD for utility reasons. If i get it on blueray i can only play it on my ps3. If I get it on dvd i can also play it on my laptop and other people's dvd players if need be.
