So Lost Izalith turned out to be easier than I thought because
Code:
if you use arrows you don't have to actually kill that many of the walking undead chicken things yourself.  if you kill enough to get inside the building in the middle you can shoot arrows and aggro a bunch into killing each other.  then move to the next building and get up high on top and shoot as many as you can, and they will kill each other like crazy.  its rather funny to watch

I beat Nito on my 1st try.  :)

so I guess now I have to fight 4 kings with no bonfire nearby, or go get killed by butterflies at crystal caves, or go fight stupid zombie chickens in lost izalith

Yeah sadly it's all downhill from SFIII.  I would like to play Shining Force Feather but looks like that isn't gonna happen...I heard that the developer (flight-plan) went out of business too.

And Anor Londo is my least favorite area in the game.  Have fun with some particular Archer Knights.  Trust me when I say you'll get to know them well and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

You're in Blighttown or Sen's at the moment?  Sen's was the first area that made me ragequit, though I admit the top of Bloghttown made me mad too. The second area was aforementioned Knights.

That part is just messed up, lol

Code:
I ended up using poison arrows to kill the left one, and then I couldn't manage to hit the one on the right so I ran up to him and once I got across from him I just advanced slowly blocking the shots.  When he took out his sword I blocked it and he fell off. XD

maybe try pointing the camera toward your feet so you can tell how far you are better

Lost Izalith is dumb.  what were they thinking with these enemies >_>

also, the boss right beforehand i happened to be in human form so i summoned 2 guys and they soul arrowed it to death.  I was trying to figure out how to hit it with my sword but I couldn't figure how to get close enough before it died.  feel like I cheated v_v

funny i posted that, finally won, only died like 50 times or so!  (actually i dont know, but i wouldn't be surprised) rolling toward giant ornstein is the best!

including the time spent running back and forth every time I died that took at least 4 hours.  at least.  -_-

The 2 on one boss fight in Anor Londo is freaking killing me.  its basically 2 boss fights in a row too -_-  have a feeling this fight would be astronomically easier if i was a mage

actually for me he jumped off the tower not the bridge now that I re-read that

So I ran into the taurus demon and halfway through the fight he jumped off the bridge and killed himself... Well, that was easy...

guess it wasn't just me then >_>

Yeah, it was the under burg area. Found the zone, got to boss, boss kills you in two hits before you clear door.

I think I died against him more than any other so far.  Surviving the first 15 seconds is the hardest part, I can't believe how stupid the situation is the instant the fight begins.

also I wouldn't worry so much about screwing stuff up, it's gonna happen sooner or later in this game.  I can't use the bonfire at firelink shrine for example -_-

Well I can totally understand liking Demon's Souls better too.  The format is totally different.  Demon's Souls is almost like a megaman game where you pick your stage and go for it, this game has one world thats all connected like metroid or something.

^  I like it better personally, mostly due to stage designs.  More colorful outdoor areas, less underground dark depressing areas (though theres still those as well).

I think you need to go to undead burg and search for a way to get lower down.  I forget the name of the next area.  Did you get a key or something for beating the gargoyle?

I just started the game as a Wanderer (bought the LE). I'll begin playing seriously in a few days though since I'm too busy right now.

Any advice for a newcomer?

Be very careful about running.  I can't tell you how many times I tried to run around behind a boss and got totally creamed since you take way more damage for being hit while running.  Most of the time it's a lot safer to just lock on and walk around/roll when given opportunity.  Also, try to get/use a shield with 100% physical block and high stability if you can, it helps a lot.  Also, be aware that holding up your shield slows your stamina recovery.
