That's fantastic. What an awesome idea. If I were a programmer i'd love to sneak in crap like that.

I never noticed Lost Odyssey having hideous load times. I never even installed it. Maybe my memory is a little foggy on that though.

My point was more that, unlike something some horney dude drew in his mothers basement, some woman has to say 'yes' when a director tells her to ditch her clothes and act like a brainless piece of sex. I also think one may enable the other. After all, the argument could be made that, if women are willing to portray themselves this way, what's wrong with puting a character like that in a game?

One media is enabeling the other, and visa versa. That's how I see it anyway.

Funny, it seems like film and tv have similar issues, but with a different focus. I think sexual misrepresentation is far more frequent on TV and film, especially considering that these are real women, not something some artist whipped up in paint after a wet dream, but they also get more legitimate roles and characters on the 'tube then in games. What do you two think of that?

Also, I'm not going to repeat myself, but I made an argument in the forum topic about this and how I feel it's also insulting the intelligence of men at the same time if you want to check out that viewpoint.

How long until it's accepted as a valid form of literature (yes, that is what I care about)?

On that note, how much longer until they teach classes on it at uni?

Will Chrono Trigger become required reading?

Took long enough. This should have happened back in the 8 bit generation.

Funny though, this really changes nothing. The people who disagree will still do so, and the rest of us, who have been aware of his for at least 20 years, will give the recognition a thumbs up.

It's not like our government hos money to burn on the arts right now anyway.

Hell rob it happens on just about every podcast, radio show, newscast, and any form of live entertainment. At least you guys have the balls to go out there and do it.

No offense Kim.

They really need a unisex term like that. I'd hate it if I was a girl and someone told me I had balls...

Rob dropped a gem in this one.

"Even when Bioware swings and misses, they still hit it out of the park."

Heh.

Oh, and Kim, the real issue with SO4, is that it's SO4.

You guys remember the intro movie for RE: Code Veronica?

Yeah, 'nuff said.

I have a crazy suggestion for the noob. Take a break between act 1 and 2. I think the game will have a better rythem if you do. You can easily play it in one swoop, but I think the things that kick off in act 2 will bbe more meaningful if you take a break.

MindCandy is referring to Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, which was a standalone expansion pack to Age of Wonders 2. Which was better than the original AoW2 in a lot of ways.

It's on GOG.com for like 10 bucks though it goes on sale quite a bit.

Thanks for that, it's been a while so I was a little rusty.
Wonder whatever happened to that franchise?

What other podcasts do people around here listen to? I used to enjoy ATB from 1up, but that show appears to have died as the result of some staffing changes. I tried several IGN podcasts but they just annoy me. Any suggestions?

Ps1 classic + action rpg = Alundra. It's my second favorite ARPG after Link to the past.
A good turn based ps1 game would be ff9.

Would anybody consider Age of Wonders 2 to be a strategy RPG? I Would suggest that game. I loved it. just make sure you turn the action to turn based or it's not going to play very well. It's a PC game, but it's old. If your pc was built within the last 10 years, you could run it no problem. Also make sure you get the one with the expansion pack. I think the 1st release was broken, but it's been a while. FYI, I normally can't get into srpg's and this one hooked me good.
