URL says a lot, she was 11 years old and urged by parents to abandon chemotherapy (despite a 75% survival stat!) because of Jesus and faith.

I have no problem with religious people or religion, except when stupid stuff like this happens.

As a person of very little faith (besides hoping doggy heaven exists), I've always liked that quote "God helps those who help themselves" --- I feel like this is almost certainly applicable to the scenario.

I'm curious as to the belief(s) of her parents.  For example, Jehovah's Witnesses (whom I would not identify as "Christian" for theological reasons) usually shun the idea of medical help because it is of the "world". Regardless of the parent's background, it was awful and unwise of them to avoid medical help for their daughter.

I don't get what level of vocal talent people are expecting for a road trip segment.  My initial gripes aside with the really lame last lines Noctis spouts out (and yeah, this does sound placeholder) then this is much ado about nothing.
If the big, emotional, and dramatic scenes sound like this in the end product, then we can all point and laugh again. x)

What are we fighting for...aggghaaaarrrrr?!?

I can't get over the fact that the cast is traveling in a car. It makes sense as far as logistically. Just seems odd that they are taking a evening stroll and seeing a giant deformed elephant creature lurking on the horizon. I can't imagine what pee-breaks look like.

Game looks cool. Right up my alley. Will get it.

So I found this picture on Imgur.  Apparently the user needs to get a colonoscopy (which means a shit load of laxatives before the examination)....  This looks awesome though.

For me to poop on.

Finished the final season of The Killing. It tied up loose ends and didn't drag things out near as bad as in other seasons. Granted, it was only six episodes.

I have a backlog of games and decided to watch the story/dialogue cut-scenes on Youtube to get the story without having to go through the gameplay (I got stuck on a boss and didn't feel like grinding more to level). Unless I farted around too much in my play-time, it seems that the story doesn't pick up until the middle of the game (around 30/40 or so hours).  I think the story should already be fleshed out more by that hour mark, not starting up. Upon the completion of my viewing on Youtube, I believe the main thrust of the story was dragged out and could have been covered in a more timely manner. I also think the characters seem kind of mediocre aside from the "heart-to-heart" interaction. With that said, I have found myself wanting to play through the game rather than being glad that I didn't waste any more time on it.

Pseudonym there's a 0% chance of me finishing the game because I've played through about eight RPGs, total, and about half of those topped out between 5 to 15 hours in length. And one of them was Xenogears for some reason.

I have a hard time maintaining interest in anything. It's kind of awful. I think normal people just watch TV and die for fun, but I'm not big on either of those.

Honestly, I have the same problem. Even if I do find a game interesting, I'll get lazy and not finish it. Either that or I got other things going on in my life that take up my attention/have a higher priority. The last game I completely finished was Dues EX and that's not really a RPG.

Even with my gaming habit I still bought Trails yesterday. Will I finish it, who knows?

This actually applies to food though. I haven't really eaten normally since I started my current job, which was like, three years ago at this point. Lately I've just been eating cereal at dinner because I'm tired of things that have tomatoes in it which is literally anything else I might eat. I was eating scones and smoothies from Starbucks a lot but I'm kind of tired of having to chew dough. Had eggplant for lunch yesterday. Find the taste of grill char /super/ offputting right now.

I might like other things but I'm really prone to forgetting it.

That stinks. If my job was related to food, then I would be eating a lot of cardboard boxes. I would definitely like to eat plastic for dinner if that were the case.

I think I like this although there's a 0% chance of me ever finishing it...

Imagine if everyone ate food the same way that some of us play games:

"This taco is boring."

"This chicken sandwhich is taking too much time to eat."

"These nachos are so cliche."

"There's too much bread in the world!"

Wonder what it would be like if we used the same nomenclature with our food as with games:

"This salad is taking to long to level up my gut."

"They nerfed the gyros."

"I wish this popcorn was harder to eat."

Yoda, dude, how high is that coaster?  That long rise and first drop in Steel Force at Dorney Park was pretty intense for me, and it's only 205 feet up.

What sucks for me is that I loved coasters as a kid, but as an adult I have to do coasters eyes closed or I get vertigo.  The last coaster I was able to do eyes open without issue was ThunderHawk (also at Dorney)- wooden coaster, 45mph, 80 feet high.  Yet, go figure, spinny rides like the teacups don't bother me.

Seems there's a TV show on Travel Channel dedicated to coasters, both US and international: http://www.travelchannel.com/interests/family/articles/insane-coaster-wars

I can't ride "spinny" rides. I get dizzy really easy. If I spin around standing up I start to get dizzy. With that said, coasters don't bother me. I think it has to do with rotation of the rides. Prolonged loops don't bother me in roller coasters but something like a merry go round screw me up real quick.

I am totally in favour for 2014 being "The Year of the Gay"... argh, that's stupid sounding.  But I do love a lot of the pro-gay rights videos and support going out to what, to me, should be a non-issue.  Free love! --- n' all that.

First Gay Hug (A Homophobic Experiment) -- Apprehension to a "maybe they aren't so bad after all".

Demolishing stereotypes by creating them. Nice.

Xenoblade Chronicles and Persona 4 are not without their faults. Xenoblade has nauseating side-quests that go for quantity over quality. The dungeons in Persona 4 are essentially in the same format with different themes. While it lacks ingenuity, it does go with the theme and story of the game.

I wonder if they will do a PC port. I've heard that it is possible since it runs on Direct 11x or something like that.
