Sometimes I wonder what I missed with Breaking Bad. I can only imagine it goes way beyond the uninteresting premise. I generally can't stand anything about drugs, which is why I never bothered giving it a shot. Maybe someday.

Give it a try. Sometimes descriptions of movies/shows don't portray how well/awful a show really is. In this case, it doesn't reveal how good it is.

Finally watched the Breaking Bad finale. It was good. I'm glad they wrapped up everyone's arc the way they did. Great show.

I'm glad I never really got in the Dexter series.  That beard he has solidified me ever getting into the series. Speaking of, that "beard" looks a brushing leftover from a golden retriever. Horrible. Are we going to have to get a double for facial hair? Seriously.

Tell her farting is horrible and you all can't put up with it anymore.

Vince Gilligan stated that this last episode of BB (Ozymandias) was the best that they have had or will have.

Casey Affleck or Matt Damon as Robin? Kevin Smith as the Penguin?

best show ever

It's also one of my favorite shows. It doesn't glorify or romanticizes evil to the degree that other shows/movies do. It shows the very real consequences of making bad decisions and how such decisions can have such a bad effect on people and those around them.

My wife and I have come up with different ending scenarios for Breaking Bad (we call it BB for short).

My rambling thoughts of how it ends:
Code:
Walt dies, Hank dies, Skyler dies, the Aryans die, Lydia dies, Gomie dies ( or he may survives and tells the police about Walt), and Jesse lives. Walt either is killed by someone, ingests the ricin, or dies of cancer. I don't think Walt will be put in jail since the show already gave the victory of arresting Heisenberg to Hank. This was a nod to Hank's character. It was his big moment. Even though Jesse has a hit out on him I don't see him dying, because it seems that the Aryans don't care about listening to Walt; they do their own thing. It's possible that Jesse either escapes or is kidnapped and forced to make blue meth for the Aryans. I think Walt comes back for Jesse.

One of the things about Jesse's character that I think ties in to the end of the show is his feelings about violence against kids. He has had a problem with kids getting used or getting trampled on in the process of something bad happening. I think he will finally see that Walt actually cared for him (in a twisted way) and ends up watching over Walt's kids for him, but from a distance. Jesse knows where Walt hide his barrels of money, so it wouldn't be hard for him to retrieve it and become the benefactor to Walt Jr. and Holly.
23  Media / Single-Player RPGs / The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC Announced for Steam/PSP on: September 06, 2013, 01:57:45 PM
I'm glad they are coming to Steam. I will purchase both of them. We need more quality JRPGs on Steam.

I'm really curious how this story/characters are going to pan out. I'm hoping it won't become like other modern JRPGs that have a "been there, done that" feeling to them.

Since I got into FF I've seen a lot of people (mainly old school fans) annoyed by pretty much everything SQEX does, and I don't know about you but I can't deal with that kind of attitude for such a long time. so whatever I'll just go have a good time by myself and ignore the rest.

We have our reasons. X0

Whatever you say man. I'm not the one defending LR nor I care about getting into discussions because of it at this point.

I've enjoyed the games for what they are with their flaws and everything. If that makes you guys have a bad opinion about me then that's your own problem not mine.

There are flaws that can be overlooked, flaws that can tamper the overall experience of the game, and/or flaws that are a result of game developers being: lazy, out of touch, pandering to a creative ideal, patronizing the "perceived" base, or some other reason that makes the developer look like a giant nincompoop. I assume that people play a game with an open mind that is able to accept some flaws and not one that accepts the combination of flaws that tamper the experience. I think Kevadu was trying to  the overlook simple flaws but realized during his play-time that there was an undercurrent of crappiness that overrode a pleasurable experience.

So the US and a few allied nations (like England) are in positions to do a surgical missile strike on Syria because of the use of chemical weapons on its own people.  Was it Asaad who used the chemical weapons or was it the rebel forces?  And there doesn't seem to be a follow through to the plan of "pull the pin off this grenade and throw"  If there's no follow through to the strike, then whatever message is being sent is hollow at best.  And it doesn't help that Syria has backing from China, Russia, and Iran so any US/Briton strike will turn into a debacle.

And it seems off the coast of Canada, large populations of herring are bleeding from the gills (which happens when there's a lack of oxygen in the water) and their eyes.  One of the going theories is that the Fukishima fallout's already contaminated waters this far.  Other theories say that it's not Fukushima alone, but the combination over the years/decades/maybe centuries of water pollution through drilling, dumping, fracking, etc.  So, if the level of damage being reported is not an exaggeration, we're potentially seeing what could eventually become a large scale contamination of a big chunk of our food supply.  We humans have such a weird relationship with the ocean.  It's our pantry AND our toilet.

But who cares about all of that when we Americans can all hypocritically shout righteous indignation over Hannah Montana grinding her patootie all up in Beetlejuice's business.  Because, after all, THAT is the top news story nowadays.

All of these issues are importantly, even the disgust with Miley. ;)

Well, I imagine you would; if taking 30 seconds on Google to fact check is too much to ask I gather you'd look like a fool more often than not.

Judging by the number of people who were actually taken in by this (6 year old) article on this very board, it only confirms my pet peeve: people would rather be outraged and ignorant than be rational and fact check.

I didn't fact check because I knew it would get on your nerves if I played gullible.

Seriously, I'm the type that usually double checks before I tell someone else. I'll dwell on the possibility of something like that actually existing before I research it to see if it is true or false. It wouldn't surprise me if there were people out there that would actually do something like that.

I don't know if this is real or not, but apparently dead baby soup is now a delicacy in China to improve virility.  http://www.thecontroversialfiles.net/2013/07/chinese-eat-baby-soup-for-sex.html

Ummm... yeah... if everything the world claims is an aphrodisiac really worked, then we'd all be walking around with perpetual boners humping everything that moves.

Yeah, that's all kinds of wrong right there.

The way that guy throws the raccoon is hilarious. There is a brief glimpse on the raccoon's face that I find hilarious.

I'm sure there will be a song about this botched contest. Something along the lines of how they couldn't be together.

What if the creepy 39 year old guy offered more stability than the dudes that she has dated?
