Ah, this is good news. I'll be sure to head over to the Atlus forums to express my interest in a Localization.

This is fantastic news. Now I pretty much have to get a 3DS. I also hope this means they're willing to release other remakes in NA as well. I'd very much appreciate being able to play a decent, legally obtained copy of Tales of Phantasia.

I only watch the Pokemon league episodes of Pokemon (since they remind me of Pokemon Stadium, a series I sincerely wish had continued) and episodes featuring rare Pokemon. They always seem to be better for some reason, and in the Pokemon League ones there's actually a chance that Ash would lose.

Argh, another anime that I'll have to watch once I'm done playing the games. July can't come any faster.

Ah, fantastic news. I sure hope it's a new series. Would be nice to watch a more faithful edition without the filler arc.
1342  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The NEW Game Journal on: May 10, 2011, 01:38:02 AM
Yay, I'm back!

I didn't do much gaming during the entire month of March. All I recall doing is starting up Digital Devil Saga, and playing a few rounds of various fighting games, but that's it. Oh no wait, I played through both campaigns of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight co-op with a friend. That game was...decent. The acting was worse than usual, the story was terrible, the quotes your units spit out were annoying, and the game was way too short, but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

In April, I got really into Pokemon. I played through HeartGold until I got all 16 badges, Ho-Oh, Zapdos, and the Legendary Beasts. Then I got Pokemon Black and played through it until I got all 8 badges, beat the Pokemon League, and got Victiny, Reshiram, Tornadus, and all 3 of the Musketeer Trio. After that I beat the Pokemon League in Emerald. Then I got some more pokemon in Red & Blue (Going for completes in both). After that I played my other Red for a bit. Then I messed around a bit with Pokemon Yellow, Gold, and Silver. Between all that I played some Civilization IV with a friend. Unfortunately I didn't know that the only win condition the game was set on was through annihilating your rivals, so I kept going for the ISS win only to research all the tech then realize that I can't build the ISS.=( Oh, and before all that I played some of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. Played through the Egytian Portait, whatever it's called. I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually.

May has seen the most variety so far. I picked up Red Steel 2 at the end of April and played through 6 missions of it. It's everything I'd hoped it would be so far, I can't wait to get more into it. After that I played through another scene of Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars. I really should play that game more, but I waiting to pick up a legit copy before I really dig into it. Then I played through another map on Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2. I think I make this game out to be harder than it really is. Episode 10 took a gazillion tries but a lot of it was due to my own stupidity. After that I started a new game on Tales of Phantasia. Got to the Long Valley in about 3 hours, which isn't too bad I guess. I skipped a bunch of side stuff, though. Then on Sunday I finally started Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, which my friend had gifted to me when it went on sale last Monday. I was immersed right from the get-go, and I think I really picked it right for my class and origin - I'm a Daylish Elf Archer Rogue. Lastly, on Monday, I played Dragon Warrior 1 for the GBC. I got the Pixy Flute, leveled up to Level 8, and got an Iron hammer. Then I fought a Golem, and died. The Pixy Flute didn't do jack after the first time.=(

So yeah, that's all the gaming I've been doing for the past two or more more months. Hopefully I'll be here more often so I won't have to make such a freakishly long post about the same subject again.

Fadedsun - Five Stars

Had a very reasonable price, prompt replies (mostly), package arrived as described and undamaged.

Didn't need them anymore. Plus I found out that models are fun to build, but once I've done that they just collected dust. Made it all feel pointless. If I could do something with them, I might've kept them, but they were too fragile to play with.

Yeah, I enjoyed its light-hearted nature as well, which is actually pretty odd for me. Though I do go through me phases. I guess I'm in a light-hearted phase right now since I've greatly enjoyed two humorous anime recently and I've also been reading some comic strips lately. Speaking of comics, I'm tempted to try the A!MG manga, though 49 volumes is a lot to catch up with.

I recently finished off Ah! My Goddess (OVA). It's a story about a man who ends up getting a Goddess as a girlfriend and their not-so-normal life together. It was pretty good, a good mix of humor with a somewhat compelling plot. I'm normally not a fan of slice of life or humor, but this one was actually quite enjoyable. I just felt like it did things just right, though it's not without its flaws. The first episode rushed too much, and I didn't care for the awkwardness of episode 2. With that said, I did greatly enjoy the third episode and the drama of the last two episodes.

I should also take note of the dub, since I'd say it's pretty good for its time. My copy is dated 2001, and I'm not sure if it was dubbed before that. For an old dub, the voices really fit the characters, and the actors really seemed to do a good job delivering their lines. Really, I'm impressed.

All in all, I really liked it a lot, and it convinced me to go try out the TV series, which I hear is even better. I might also give the Movie a try, assuming I can get my hands on it.

Parents dragged my in to see Rango. It was alright, I mean, it had it's moments. Plus I haven't seen a western in a long time. A fun watch, but not necessarily a recommended one.

I heard something about their farmland being underwater now.
