Still can't beat level 3 in Soldier Blade for some reason. FFS I did it before.

I can't beat that level, either. I dunno why, it just kinda gets tricky in some places, especially if you continue.

EDIT: Oh right, games! Um...I played the Farcry 3: Blood Dragon demo. And it was good. But I can't get it. Because I am broke. Why did I play it then, you ask? Because I must hunger, hunger for that game. For hunger will cause pain, pain which will charge the brain, and hopefully allow me to count my money before playing a game I cannot own next time.

...now excuse me while I go take my meds.

Anyways, I also played the first level of Killzone 2. Which is the same level as the demo I played twice already, but with the added fun of a crappy tank section that could go fuck itself. Guess I should go try out the next mission before I decide to go play Borderlands instead.

The opening's great stuff, too. I seriously can't think the word Escaflowne without the song playing in my head. =P

@SuperMeshGear - The first world or two of a Mario game is usually more spectacle than anything else, just to show off how cool it looks. It gets more clever eventually...I guess, I don't know, I'm still on the 4th observatory and I actually haven't been that impressed with it. A few of the Luma stars are cool, though. And frustrating, but sometimes for the right reasons.

I'm annoyed seeing as DQ7 was my least favorite DQ game, and probably still one of my least favorite RPGs in general, but in the 3DS version, they seemed to have fixed nearly every problem in the entire game, and I don't get to play it. >_<

Anyways, I've been playing more Xenoblade. I'm in the Refugee camp, on my way to Colony 6. Looks like things might get heated soon. I can't wait. The Bionis' Leg is Huge, btw. So much to explore, so little time. :D

I'm suddenly in the mood to play an FPS, though...and the Family room is in use. And won't be habitable for at least 3 hours...

I read the review, too. I was on the fence, but now I'm pretty sure I won't get it. It sounds like it suffers from a lot of what I disliked in Legasista - too many tutorials, yet too complex to skip them; cringe worthy dialogue, and well, just being a rogue-like minus the immediacy that makes Rogue-likes so appealing to me.

I'm looking forward to it being what looks like a modern SaGa2 (graphically/musically) and FFV (battle-wise).

Same here, especially the latter, seeing as Final Fantasy V is still one of my top 10 all time favorite RPGs. I do love SaGa artwork, though.

Damn, that is Amazing. I wish a store would do something even remotely similar in the US.

Giant Robots. :B

But seriously, either faster than light travel (wormholes, warpdrives, whatever) or some sort of contained environment people could live in so we'll stop using up so much space and resources on Earth.

Yes, finally someone's seen Strike the Blood. That was the only one I still needed impressions of. Now I guess I'll get to watching some of these series. I think I'll start with Nagi no Asukara, just to get it over with. I only wanted to see one or two episodes of it, anyways.

Yeah, I looked it up later. It was renamed "Reincarnation" in every other Disgaea game. That I'm more familiar with, but I never use it because I figure it's best to use on someone who is already at the max level.

Anyways, I took Aeolus' and CluelessWonder's advice and played some Xenogearsagablade Chronicles. Turns out I had stopped right before a cutscene where they tell me specifically where I'll be going for a while, and I remembered that this game gives you an arrow that's constantly pointing to where I gotta go, so even without that, there's no way I should ever be lost in this game. So I put this game off for nothing.

I just beat a spider boss who thankfully just kinda stood around occasionally spewing webs and doing one attack that we would costantly block. I swear that little crab thing I encountered gave me more trouble than that boss. Now I'm almost at the Bionis' Knee.

Suikoden's gameplay/battle systems leave something to be desired, pretty basic stuff (I remember just auto-battling all through Suikoden 5 because there was no need for any strategy at all, way too easy). Building your castle/army though and watching it develop from nothing to something huge is where the fun is at.

As for what I'm playing, Disgaea PSP. I think I'm at the final battle... the boss is like LV 90 and all my peeps are under LV65... guess I should grind? I feel like I'm not playing this game how it should be played though (finding ways to level up fast, and I haven't even touched transmigration). I'm gonna mess around more with the Item World, I didn't do much of that throughout the game. Whatevs.

I don't even know what transmigration is, but Item worlds are fairly important. It's helpful for grinding, they improve your weapons, and they're pretty fun on their own.

I thought Dragon Quest IX was pretty good. Worth finishing at least.

Anyways, now that my Pokemon obsession has died down, I got an NES and played some Dragon Warrior for a while, and intend to finish it up on the weekend, but until then I'm trying to find something else to play. I tried playing Skyward Sword, but I seem to like that game less every time I go back to it. And I didn't like it that much in the first place...

Now I'm down to playing Muramasa Rebirth, Xenoblade Chronicles, Ni no Kuni, or Skies of Arcadia Legends. Anyone have any suggestions? I should probably mention that the only reason I'm not jumping straight into Xenoblade is because I'm really confused as to what to do or where to go, and I'm really tempted to start over, but I hate doing that...

There's a fan translation of Madan no Ou to Vanadis, Mickeymac.  Probably not supposed to link to that sort of thing here but if you just google the title I'm sure you can find it.  In fact I think it's the first hit...

Hah, it's even the site that guy uses all the time. Maybe he's already heard of it? Anyways, thanks. And thanks for giving us the heads up on the anime version, I don't recall hearing about it from my usual sources.

EDIT: Wow, he apparently posted about it just yesterday. XD He loves it, even the fanservice scenes. In fact, he said they're some of his favorite fanservice scenes, referencing the bath scenes specifically. :P Just thought I'd mention that. Guess its got two solid recommendations now, so now I'm really looking forward to it.

I watched the first 10 episodes of Brave of Gold Goldran, and now I'm out of episodes to watch on Youtube, and I don't feel like looking for the rest. Not because it wasn't enjoyable or anything like that (I loved it), but because the series isn't fully translated, so it'd be difficult to find. Anyways, I was going to watch Yamato 2199, but Goldran put me in the mood for a comedy adventure, where they frequently change locations and whatnot to keep things fresh while still being lighthearted. Anybody know an Anime like that?

I wonder if there's an english translation of any of those books. Reason being that I know someone on another forum who loves Light Novels. I figure it'd be something he'd like, too, fanservice and all. In the meantime, I'm gonna wait for the anime version and hope for the best. It sounds really interesting. I've been waiting a serious show with some light fantasy elements for a long time, but those seem to be hard to come by.

And speaking of Anime versions, I'm still waiting for a World Trigger anime. :(
