61  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Mass Effect 2 PS3 download problems on: December 12, 2011, 07:38:02 PM
Ok so here is what is going on, I bought Mass Effect 2 over PSN, and have been trying to download it.  However for whatever reasons my internet at some point during the download causes PSN to have an error, and I have to start over from the beginning.  Now with most PC downloads you can have the download get interrupted and restart it from where it left off, but it seems the ps3 starts from the very beginning, and considering Mass Effect 2 is 12gb, thats kinda NOT working.  Any way to fix this?  Otherwise I guess I can just keep trying till the gods of technology deign to let it work.  As for my connection, its free throughout my building, never really have to many issues with it, I have a switch for my PC and my PS3, not a router, and its wired.

Bytor was an excellent buyer, great communication, high five!
63  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic (RPGFan Guild Edition) on: November 12, 2011, 09:53:49 PM
I thought I had signed up for the Sith Guild to get it setup..but I do not appear to..well..appear on the list?  I have the CE pre ordered.  Ill try joining again, see what happens.

DARTH VADER IS LUKE AND LEIAS FATHER?  Dude way to ruin it for me Eusis.

Anywho, I plan on picking this up tomorrow at Toys R Us, assuming they still have copies left (which I would expect since our Toys R Us isnt where most folks go for games) and you get a 20 dollar TRU giftcard for buying it.  So I figure thats worth waiting a few extra hours for, even if once I get it I had to do a humane society event until 11 am.  I tend to run Khajit, since Im a big animal lover, though I get DPBs statement on taking them seriously to a point.  I do also tend to play as a Nord..but..well...this is the Nord homeland..so that doesn't seem as fun.
65  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: DC Universe is neat. on: November 07, 2011, 07:52:49 PM
I have been giving it a try as well.  Im a little dissapointed in the only 6 powers thing, since none of them really strike my itch (save maybe gadgets).  I havn't tried sorcery or nature yet.  I like the vast amount of weapon choices..so far I like hand blasts the best.  Finding it hard to design a character though, plenty of options, I just suck at it I think.  I just dont wanna do the typical "Oh haey lets pick black and red and now were KEWL".  I want something kinda uniqueish, but lol ><.  Anywho, havn't done a ton with it yet, but its not bad.

What the hell, im in.  I will probably end up playing the good guys most of the time..and I may need to cancel my pre order if money is to tight (I Pre ordered the CE) but I can make a sith for funsies.
68  Media / General Games / Keiji Inafune....King of Pirates! on: October 05, 2011, 06:48:17 PM

So this looks..AWESOME!  I gotta say I am excited for this.  Says its a Pirate action adventure game, so I am curious to see how it turns out.  I almost get a sort of..zelda-esque vibe from the trailer, even though it didn't show any gameplay or anything, so thats pure conjecture from me.  Still I cannot wait!
69  Media / General Games / Re: Rage on: October 04, 2011, 02:36:58 AM
From what ive been reading so far, sounds like yet another short ride that does not fully deliver but still satisfies.  I love how some reviews call it being "10 hours" a good thing.  I really think we have hit an issue with games today that due to the high production costs, we cannot have anything with a reasonable length.  Games like BF3 and CoD only get away with it because of the mutliplayer, but even then I refuse to buy them until they are like 20 bucks.  Just a pet peeve of mine, im sure plenty will disagree.  I still look forward to renting RAGE, but from what I read it sounds mostly just a straight up shooter in a post apocolyptic setting than any sort of fallout/borderlands type of thing, which is what I was looking forward to.

As much as I recall about XIII and the things I didnt care for, that newest vid was kinda cool.  I will at least be giving it a shot, see how this one feels.  If anything at least SE can make stuff look pretty cool (femme guy characters aside)

I may give this a shot, is it just you and your two partners in the gameworld?  Or is it like usual server based, and if so what server are you guys using?
72  The Rest / The Bazaar / Re: Seller Review thread on: August 24, 2011, 02:17:15 AM
Well say what you will but the transaction between me and rpgland went off without a hitch.  Everything arrived as stated in a decent amount of time.  Positive experience all around, and excellent communication.
73  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Legend of Legaia on: August 23, 2011, 11:19:57 AM
For me, this game was one of the first I owned once I bought my PS1 back in the day.  It holds a special place in my heart, and I really, truly, enjoyed it.  If you have not tried it, and it hits classics, I would definately recommend it, the battle system alone is great, and I thought the storyline for it was pretty badass as well.

And UGH that freakin plant boss.

74  The Rest / The Bazaar / Re: Seller Review thread on: August 17, 2011, 11:37:57 PM
Well I suppose I have to be the devils advocate here, but I am picking up Trails in the Sky Collectors edition from him, for 40 shipped.  I feel its reasonable, seeing as trying to pick it up on the store is the same, and online, before the amazon sale, when we agreed to said price, it was spot on.  Plus I was supporting a member here (though this was before vanguard posted what he did, which I guess kinda sucks..id like to hear rpglands input on it I guess) so its all thumbs up from me so far.  I mean obviously I still have to get the item, but he has given me no reason to doubt it will be as he stated.  He did feel I was trying to rip him off the first time I contacted him, but that was because I made a stupid and misread what he posted.  Once I clarified what I meant he understood and was fine with it, and answered my questions fairly promptly.  So I just wanted to point this out..
75  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: PAX 2011 on: August 09, 2011, 01:36:46 AM
Oh is PAX always in Seattle?  My parents plan on moving to the suburbs north of there in a couple of years, and I plan on following.  Anywho, I am of course not going to attend this year, but have fun!
