1  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Wild Arms 5 on: September 02, 2007, 10:13:21 AM
I'm really enjoying this game so far. The characters are pretty enjoyable so far. I'm at the Abandoned Path at the moment. I've mostly been training and searching for items around the world map.
2  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Legend of Legaia (or an excuse!) on: July 03, 2007, 05:24:10 PM
Legend of Legaia was pretty decent. Now it's sequel on the other hand was an improvement, in my opinion.
3  Media / Single-Player RPGs / if it's not broken dont fix it... on: July 01, 2007, 02:58:02 PM
*Sigh*  What she will bitch about next?
4  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Growlanser V Coming Stateside on: May 11, 2007, 09:49:53 AM
I see Growlanser V is coming out here after all. I thought it was just a rumor. Too bad we couldn't get IV. This is the one that's in full 3D, right?
5  Media / Single-Player RPGs / A new Star Ocean? on: May 02, 2007, 08:58:19 AM
Tri-Ace was never a part of Squareenix to begin with. I'm surprised to see they are coming out with another Star Ocean game. I thought the series was finished after the 3rd game.
6  The Rest / General Discussions / Top 14 Guilty Pleasures for Gaming on: April 30, 2007, 02:23:44 PM
Retro Games and Anime Games are the only 2 things on the list that apply to me.
7  The Rest / General Discussions / GamePro: The 52 Most Important Video Games of All Time on: April 30, 2007, 02:17:54 PM
What the hell is E.T. doing on that list? I mean you would put E.T. on the list, but you won't even include Sonic or Megaman.
8  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Best RPGs based on story alone? on: April 26, 2007, 01:37:59 PM
Quote from: "Lard"
Sorry - I meant in the "real world" not "modern day". (IE In Europe instead of some fantasy land)
Well, more like a "fantasy" approach on the "real world".
9  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Dragon Quest IX battle system revealed on: April 25, 2007, 07:01:52 PM
I think it's better off staying with the traditional turn-based system. I really couldn't see Dragon Quest with an action-based system.
10  Media / Single-Player RPGs / suikoden V does it get better? on: April 24, 2007, 03:21:36 PM
Quote from: "Alisha"
DQVIII also sucks.

anyways.... suikoden V started to become interesting when the recruit ally nations phase died down and the story started to kick into gear a little but the random battles can get rather annoying. i also liked the part where you meet people from the island nations since it reminded me of suikoden 4. her name escapes me but i really liked that pirate girl in suikoden 4.
Can you please give us a reason why you think it sucks? I'm pretty sure you're talking about Kika.
11  Media / Single-Player RPGs / suikoden V does it get better? on: April 20, 2007, 11:43:58 AM
Have you played any of the other Suikoden games? Because you seem like you haven't played one before.
12  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Odin Sphere out in US May 22nd, Dual language on: April 19, 2007, 10:23:13 AM
That's about a month from now.
13  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Final Fantasy 3 has all the charm that so many RPGs miss on: April 15, 2007, 01:34:26 AM
I wouldn't call it artificial difficulty. That's pretty much how rpgs were before video games started getting all of this mainstream attention.
14  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Taking the cue: Most Frustrating RPG on: April 13, 2007, 01:10:21 AM
Fire Emblem is one that comes to mind at the moment. That death rule really makes battles fustrating at times. One wrong move and thats it that character is gone unless you restart the whole battle again.
15  The Rest / General Discussions / Super Mario Bros: Deathtrap Edition on: April 12, 2007, 12:17:18 AM
WOW! That is insane. I would never be able to do something like that.
