The tl;dr is that Capcom pretty much threw the baby out with the bathwater in regards to DmC and didn't bother to replace it with anything worthwhile. The game lost its identity and the reason why fans should choose it over anything made by Platinum Games.
Uh, no. The only thing wrong with the new DmC are some technical niggles and gameplay quirks that should be ironed out if NT does a second entry. For their first DmC game it was fine. Like I said in the DmC thread it is a worthwhile action game and anybody still whining like a little bitch about it needs to get over it already. Sorry, but the DmC whining is getting old really fast. You don't have to like the new DmC, but making a claim like they fucked the whole thing up would only hold water if it was a truly terrible game, which it isn't. Also, the examples you named would work fine if the developers worked at it. IMO, DmC worked okay. It's not the best example I'd give of a reboot/overhaul, but it's nowhere near as bad as you claim.
