I'm probably the only one who prefer Xenosaga over Xenogears. I never finished Xenogears, though.

Last Story sales are even lower than 3rd Birthday sales. O_o I hope this isn't Sakaguti's last story.

Xenoblade sales are almost exactly the same (153,742).

Atlus must announce US version now.

wtf with her voice? She sounds like character from Korean Dorama. Why why why!? I don't like her voice at all. >_<

Gameplay: Here's the hard part. It starts good, than it keeps getting worse and repetitive. Enemies with huge life bars don't help because they don't impose a challenge just help to make things more boring and repetitive as they are.
At the beginning the game tries to keep a varied option of things to do but as it goes once you get into an area you fight some enemies, net one, the same thing, and the following one the same thing with the same enemies and it just keeps going on and on.
So gameplay is something like Resistance/Syphon Filter for PSP? A few weeks ago I played demo versions of both and I wasn't impressed with controls. Playing this kind of games without 2nd analog stick was a real pain for me. I'm not really into shooters though.

New trailer is HOT + Lotus Juice is there! AWSM! I already love rearranged soundtrack.

I don't know if you can keep your stats because I haven't finish it yet but I've hear that if you beat it 50 times you unlock that a shower scene (much improved from the one from PE2).
Whoa, that's quite a lot, but I'm sure I can do it with my Dear Aya. :P I haven't watched it on youtube, so I'm "patiently" waiting for March 1st...

Those are numbers are actually pretty low....3rd birthday outsold it be over 30k copies in its first week.
I agree, that's sad it looks like A Great RPG and it actually makes me want to buy Wii again. I think I will buy it again if there is US/Europe release.

People in Japan don't like shooters, but they love half naked Aya.

Jensen Ackles & Yvonne Strahowsky Interview

The 3rd Birthday Twisted Edition:

Saw it a few days ago. Looks hot. Definitely getting this edition. I'm glad that box has the same cover as Jp version. April is so faraway... I need it now.

Japanese sales are quite low, I hope US and Europe sales will be higher. I want my 4th Birthday got damn it.

My first game for psp was Jp. copy of Ridge Racers. You don't need to know Japanese to play games like that. As for rpg I can recommend Breath of Fire III for psp. I have European version for psp, but I was able to beat Japanese version on PSone, so doubt you'll have any troubles with psp version, since it's exactly the same.

It was also re-released as CapKore in Japan so you can get it for $24 (I'm sure even cheaper in Japan).

10  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Which Final Fantasy Has The Best Story and Why? on: January 05, 2011, 06:35:13 PM
FFT ending was a little shocking (at least for me). I mean one specific part of it.
X was the only FF where I mostly ignored side missions and finished the main quest straight, and I liked its story the most. If I had to analyze, putting aside my personal preference, I'd say VI and VII were the most consistent within their respective themes. Now where is the fun in that? "I'm really just asking for a fan's opinion on this" is what the OP asked for after all, so I don't think we should treat this thread like some sort of professional editorial. Anyone can come up with a believable justification to why VI, VII, VIII, IX, Tactics or X has the best story, because they're all good in one way or another.
Same here. I think Final Fantasy X is the only game that ever made me cry. This story definitely touched me. There are so many reasons why I love it.

I've finished V a few days ago and I must say it has really great story. Yes, it's the story is 'bout crystals (again) where main villain has name exdeath, but the way it's told is Great. It has many funny and many sad moments. Wish SE made After Years for this one as well.

I haven't finished III, VI and never played XI, XIII and XIV. So I can't say anything 'bout 'em.

Oh, no where's wedding dress? She looks so bloody-gorgeous in it...
I don't understand what's the point in Swim Wear, since it cannot be destroyed and when her standard outfit is destroyed you can anyway see her underwear.

Can't wait to see first week sales. Play Asia Top 100 Sellers (PSP) #4 - The 3rd Birthday. Amazon Japan Video Games Bestsellers (overall) #19 - The 3rd Birthday.

No Custom Voices for International 3rd Birthday (from andriasang)
Damn it, I almost died when I read it this way: No Costumes for International 3rd Birthday. I was like WTF mr. Nomura, I'm going to Japan to kill you. >_<
btw I hope game is longer than 1st parasite eve or at least 20 hours with all extra stuff. I don't remember how long PE2 though.
13  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Persona 2 IS Remake on: December 20, 2010, 05:27:46 PM
Nope, P1 for PSP only has the one "modern" soundtrack.
Thanks, that's fine with me since I never played original game and never heard original soundtrack. I heard "modern" boss theme, sounds cool.

It's cool that there's such option in P2IS, 'cause I love original soundtrack.
14  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Persona 2 IS Remake on: December 20, 2010, 05:10:03 PM
You can choose between the old soundtrack or the new tracks when you play.

The new tracks aren't 100% new either, they're just rearranged/updated versions of the existing stuff.
Wow That's Great, thnx for the info! Can I do the same in P1 for PSP? Even though I'm getting it next year, I'm still curious.
15  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Persona 2 IS Remake on: December 20, 2010, 04:16:00 PM
So original soundtrack will be completely replaced with Shoji's new soundtrack? I adore all his works, but I want original soundtrack in this Persona.
Screens look amazing, thanks.

I bough psp 3k (new GoW bundle) like 3 weeks ago for $190 on eBay. PSPs in locals stores here are overpriced + I didn't want just black psp again (I sold 1k 2-3 years ago).
