Sorry to like steal this topic but I have a question.  Did Square Enix said or show anything about Front Mission V at e3?. Was it even released in Japan? Am just wondering cuase I love the Front Mission games.

Glad to see forum members still don't read our articles.

1922  The Rest / General Discussions / *The* gamer-oriented question... on: May 25, 2006, 02:15:33 PM
Please.  The 'real' gaming question is this one:

Have you beaten Takeshi no Chousenjou?

1923  The Rest / General Discussions / RPGFan's E3 Awards on: May 23, 2006, 12:51:51 AM
Our awards were done a little differently than our personal top 5s - mainly it was a vote over dinner.  Everyone nominated a game that everyone had to go play on the second day of the show, and we voted on the third day.  Valkyrie Profile 2 won for overall, followed by Hellgate for PC, and then Rogue came in third overall for the console score.

Our top 5 was stuff that wowed us personally.

Like them?  Dislike them?

ADMIN EDIT:  John has apparently forgotten who he is dealing with here.  Behold, a link for the lazy. :P

FFX-2 has a GR score of 86%.  Far from poorly recieved.

Add flavor packet, serve in bowl.
1928  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Black Frost Question on: May 19, 2006, 04:03:39 PM
I've got one of those in my room!

It was a Japanese figure that was given away by Atlus at E3 2005.  It was a promotional item, listed as "Not For Sale" on the box - good luck on getting your hands on one

1931  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Final Fantasy releases, Japan to us on: May 17, 2006, 06:39:28 PM
Okay, left column is the Japanese release, right column in North American

Japanese---------------------|------------------North American
Final Fantasy (Famicon) -  Final Fantasy (NES)
Final Fantasy II (Famicon) - Final Fantasy II (Dawn of Souls (GBA)/Origins (PSOne))
Final Fantasy III (Famicon) - Final Fantasy III (DS)
Final Fantasy IV (Super Famicon) - Final Fantasy II (SNES), Final Fantasy IV (PSOne/GBA)
Final Fantasy V (Super Famicon) - Final Fantasy V (PSOne/GBA)
Final Fantasy VI (Super Famicon) - Final Fantasy III (SNES), Final Fantasy VI (PSOne/GBA)

Final Fantasy titles from VII onward have the same numbering system.

If you want to know about the GB FF titles (Adventure/Legend), I'm sure I can dig up which is SaGa and which is "of Mana".
1932  Media / The Soundroom / iTunes music store is really screwed up sometimes... on: May 16, 2006, 01:20:37 PM
There were a few of the opening vocal songs cut from the iTunes releases because they were unable to get the American rights to it for use in specifically-music releases.

1933  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Phoenix Wright 2 Coming Here on: May 15, 2006, 11:10:11 PM
Because of RPGFan's coverage area - we consider point + click adventures as well as digital comics/digital novels to be under the realm of RPGs.
1934  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Final Fantasy XII X 3 on: May 15, 2006, 07:25:40 PM
Actually, it was specifically mentioned that it was the first FF with a fully futuristic setting - no more 'lawls we have a super fast airship - let's ride chocobos'.
