1936  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Fabula Nova Crystallis project. on: May 14, 2006, 10:28:04 PM
Portions of the trailer were FMV, and there was about 15 seconds of real-time stuff going on.

All of the Versus trailer was FMV.

I bet you use Slice and Dice, too.  God, everyone knows real rogues don't do white damage.

Slice and Dice and Blade Flurry.

I'm a maniac.

I get called a noob all the time in raids for my +8% to hit on my combat rogue.

Then I destroy them all in actual damage in raids.

It's fun.

While this is obviously great news, I was expecting that new GS (4?) game to be announced for the US, as well. And WTF, 2007? What, do they got 1 guy translating the whole thing?

Probably.  I don't expect this to be a huge seller for Capcom, so they're probably not going to devote a huge team to it.
1941  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Shadowrun FPS on: May 13, 2006, 05:29:58 PM
I played the game on the show floor.  Other than the cool Xbox 360/PC combined play:

Meh.
1942  The Rest / General Discussions / PS3 to sell for $499, have motion sensing controller on: May 09, 2006, 03:47:04 AM
Motion sensing controller?! WHERE THE SHIT DID THAT COME FROM?!

Mario is bloodied and beaten in an alley somewhere.

Edit: Just realised I'm logged in as John. Good going me. This is Mark/Hidoshi. Sorry John!
1943  The Rest / General Discussions / RPGfan is 1337. on: May 09, 2006, 03:44:21 AM
Well that's the thing. It hasn't been the fad for years, but it's been the 'fad we had and now we mock' fad for some time now. The problem with doing L337 jokes is that they've all been seen and done before, or it's just so heard-of that it doesn't inspire a chuckle. It's like slipping on a banana peel. It may be funny in small doses, but really, it's been done so often and by so many people, it really needs to be put out to pasture.

To be clear, just so Ashton can heal that chip on his shoulder a little, what I said was not intended as a personal attack. It's my opinion that L337 has become unfunny. God forbid I disagree with the humour though. Oh noes.

Edit: Hidoshi forgot to log out and posted as John. Forgibness pureezu.
1944  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Oh Blizzard, Blizzard, Blizzard on: May 07, 2006, 12:58:55 AM
Ark: Please.  It's rogues we're talking about.

They're going to give us something no one knows how to use trainable: Blade Flurry.
1945  The Rest / General Discussions / The E3 Thread on: May 05, 2006, 12:29:13 PM
Cauton:

We did our scheduling for E3 starting about two months ago - Bethesda straight up told us that there would be nothing about Fallout 3 at the show.

Shane Dabiri mentions on the third page of the thread that PvE wouldn't be able to transfer to PvP, except in the case of opening a brand new PvP server specifically for PvE transfers.

I dunno, I wasn't grabbed when I played the Japanese version of Tales of the Abyss.  Maybe when I play it in English.
