Yeah, we're still waiting on Atlus Japan about this one.  It may be folded over into an interview at E3.

Doesn't seem like it's doing spectacularly.

$23 shipped at Play-Asia this week.

So I had a chance to see the screening of this here in Vegas, and this movie is simply brilliant.  Excellent writing, and it's significantly different enough from the book to go through both, and it stands alone.  The dialogue is dry and witty and it's just a great movie.

This screening anywhere else?

1970  The Rest / General Discussions / Micro-transactions - Just another way to get us to pay more? on: April 03, 2006, 05:07:15 PM
I pay $15/mo for new content in WoW.  Micropayments don't bother me much, though I'd love to see them do it the way Bungie distributed maps for Halo 2.  Buy them right when they come out, or download them for free way later.

Yeah, go get fat off the donut fumes. This speaks worlds about the tobacco company in, and of itself.

"We are suing you for breathing."

Is this faggot for real?

Yes.  They are in league with Bat Boy.

I love WWN.

Make sure you're at 'www.rpgfan.com' and not 'rpgfan.com'.

1973  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Battlefield 2142 on: March 31, 2006, 02:14:26 AM
There's no plot to the games.  They're straight up online squad shooters.  They're related in that they're all the same developer and have the same base engine.

The hydrocane is a fairly common drop, and easy as shit to get, as Tim's main is a rogue.  Just have him stealth down and kill the fucker while you stand at the entrance.

1975  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / The Matrix Online on: March 29, 2006, 07:15:30 PM
I never thought I'd say this.  I logged on the Matrix Online for the first time today to check out the revamped combat.

The Matrix Online is fun.

Ran the new Scholomance.  The amount of mobs is the same, but they're quite a bit weaker.  We did the entire instance in about 2 hours with no priest and no warrior.  2 Rogues, 1 mage, 1 druid, 1 paladin.  We wiped twice, and never on any of the big fights.  Quite a bit of fun.

The sets of five are now rarer, but considerably better.  There's no more static skin of shadow for the Lady Barov, but we had three drop on our run.

I spoke too soon.

Does this logo look familiar?

1978  The Rest / General Discussions / Revolution.....Renamed?! on: March 28, 2006, 05:49:11 PM

Nintendo Go.

Wonder if that'll be the US name, as well.  As the article states, "go" means five in Japanese, and this is Nintendo's fifth home console.

This is speculation at this point, and as I was reading the Fark Thread about it, someone came up with the idea that this may be the name of the online service.  Nintendo GO - Get Online.  Sounds like something they would do.

I RSVP'd for the only showing of "Thank You For Smoking" in Las Vegas in two months.  I hope it's good, because the ticket's $15.

UMD sucks.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was great when I got the DVD for 11 bucks.  Seeing it available for 35 dollars in UMD format makes me want to vomit in disgust.

That's a huge markup, even for canadian dollars.  We have CTHD for $15 at my work on UMD.
