1966  The Rest / The Bazaar / Liquidation! on: April 15, 2006, 10:40:02 PM
I'm looking to get rid of some stuff I've got sitting around, and I figured I'd post for all of the members here before this stuff heads off to eBay.

I accept money orders only (which means no PayPal).  For long-standing members of the board, I'm willing to ship with the promise that you've sent off a money order.  Everyone else, I wait until I recieve payment.

Shipping is $4.10 for Priority (2-day) inside the US, for 2 items or less.  More will have to be checked on after I see which items you want for size.  No shipping prices on trades, assuming you ship to me in the same way.

Everything is considered complete unless noted.

The following's up for grabs:

Shin Megami Tensei (Japan-Super Famicom) - Cart Only - $10
Breath of Fire (Super Nintendo) - $30
Initial D: Street Stage (Asia-PSP) - $35
Me and My Katamari (Japan-PSP) - $30
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Asia-PSP - Game text is in English)  - $10
Tales of Eternia (Japan-PSP) - $25
Generation of Chaos IV ~Another Side~ (Japan-PSP) - $10
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (US - disc is in fair/good playable condition) - $40
Age of Empires III Strategy Guides (5 available) - $5 each
SOE 90 Day Game Card, Sealed, (EQ/EQ2/PlanetSide) - $30

I'm also willing to trade for the following - obviously for trades, I'm looking for games of about equal value.

Osu! Tatake! Ouendan (J-DS)
Battle For Middle Earth II (PC)
Galactic Civilizations 2 (PC)
Daxter (PSP)
Naruto: Narultimate Hero Portable (J-PSP)
Saiyuki: Journey West (PSOne)
Breath of Fire III (Euro-PSP)

Feel free to send me a PM or respond to this post if you're interested in anything!

1968  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Fuck WoW....I'm going home. on: April 08, 2006, 07:22:47 PM
Blizzard has stated that they're moving all their servers onto new hardware - Dalaran has already migrated to the newest hardware.  Additionally, I haven't seen queues on Dark Iron since the first two weeks the server was up.

There are games with more stable logins and servers, etc.

Like PlanetSide and ShadowBane and Horizons.

Which would you rather play? :-p

And just as a note: people who are saying "it's taking too long" - they migrated 4 servers this last week.  If it were PlanetSide or Matrix Online, that would be the entire amount they'd need to migrate - not a fucking billion.

Yeah, we're still waiting on Atlus Japan about this one.  It may be folded over into an interview at E3.

Doesn't seem like it's doing spectacularly.

$23 shipped at Play-Asia this week.

So I had a chance to see the screening of this here in Vegas, and this movie is simply brilliant.  Excellent writing, and it's significantly different enough from the book to go through both, and it stands alone.  The dialogue is dry and witty and it's just a great movie.

This screening anywhere else?

1974  The Rest / General Discussions / Micro-transactions - Just another way to get us to pay more? on: April 03, 2006, 05:07:15 PM
I pay $15/mo for new content in WoW.  Micropayments don't bother me much, though I'd love to see them do it the way Bungie distributed maps for Halo 2.  Buy them right when they come out, or download them for free way later.

Yeah, go get fat off the donut fumes. This speaks worlds about the tobacco company in, and of itself.

"We are suing you for breathing."

Is this faggot for real?

Yes.  They are in league with Bat Boy.

I love WWN.

There's no plot to the games.  They're straight up online squad shooters.  They're related in that they're all the same developer and have the same base engine.

The hydrocane is a fairly common drop, and easy as shit to get, as Tim's main is a rogue.  Just have him stealth down and kill the fucker while you stand at the entrance.

I never thought I'd say this.  I logged on the Matrix Online for the first time today to check out the revamped combat.

The Matrix Online is fun.

Ran the new Scholomance.  The amount of mobs is the same, but they're quite a bit weaker.  We did the entire instance in about 2 hours with no priest and no warrior.  2 Rogues, 1 mage, 1 druid, 1 paladin.  We wiped twice, and never on any of the big fights.  Quite a bit of fun.

The sets of five are now rarer, but considerably better.  There's no more static skin of shadow for the Lady Barov, but we had three drop on our run.
