EQ2 is far more 'casual' than EQ1 and FFXI - you can do quite a bit of Soloing, you're not stuck to a group like you are in FFXI.

Samuel L Jackson actually said he never read the script before accepting - he just loved the title that much.

Takahashi is no longer in a production role in the Xenosaga series, and hasn't been all throughout the development of XS3.

Dade.  You know the limits.  Quit it.

Look at it this way:

The average board (GameFAQs, etc) is going to be an E, 10+, or maybe T rated board.

RPGFan's boards are M rated.  While we disallow inline images of things like pornography, etc, bad language and general asshattedness isn't against the rules.  We moderate when it becomes neccesary, not when someone uses a bad word.  We assume that the average person on this board is mature enough to read some bad words.

I've been looking forward to this game, but now that I take a good look at the system requirements I'm getting a little bummed. My box is about six months old and when I built it I bought almost all the top of the line things (vid card, sound card, processor, etc)....and I'm just a little over minimum requirements.

So this means I can play Oblivion and not run ANY other programs in the background (no torrents downloading, etc).

I really dont want to buy an Xbox 360, but as these games that are on both PC and X360 come out...I might just buy one so I dont have to upgrade left and right.

There's no way you barely make the minimum with top-of-the-line from six months ago.

I built my box last July.  I didn't even get top of the line components.  I spent about $1k total.  With the recommended being:

    * 3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
    * 1 GB System RAM
    * ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

The only thing I don't make is the X800... but I've got an X700 anyway.

Hm.  So no more easy 10-man UD Strat or 15-man UBRS.

Unfortunate.

Though I do like the 'complete a quest at level 60, get gold instead of exp'.

And the 'where do you want to go?  just click your destination' flights

And last, but not least

Blind - Now considered a ranged attack. It can no longer be dodged or parried.

2 - too difficult or complicated
3 - too easy

Who are you defining 'too difficult/complicated' and 'too easy' for?  I thought FFX was amazingly easy (even the 'dreaded' Seymour fight) and simple, but my ex-girlfriend thought it was a difficult and complex game.

Some people think Grandia III is pretty tough - I think it's simply uneven.

I'd like to see more variable difficulty games in regards to the encounters, myself.

Just noting now, yes, your sig is too wide.  450w x 150h is the max.

A bunch of us started playing on Lucan D'Lere (RP, Good) lately.  Me, Parn, some others.  I'm Aerim, level 8 Half-Elven Monk ATM.

We're planning better things for RPGFan (can you say movies?).

Like, the old videos/movies section that was up many moons ago?

Right now what we're planning is to have a rotating videos section.  Because our bandwidth cap is still pretty low (comparatively to what we do, even without videos), we're probably going to host four videos at a time that we'll rotate out with a Movies index.  So say the new trailer for Oblivion and for three other games, and when we get the next newest trailer, we'll kill the oldest on the index.

So, after this new format is fixed, we won't be required to register yet again, will we? And if you do not mind me asking, why you felt the need to transfer servers? I liked the old forum the way it was.

The change in forums is not the reason we changed servers, but a consequence.  These PHPBB boards are here to stay, because Invision now costs.  We're not going to pay $200 for our board system.

And we changed servers because we found a provider that gave us much more support, better bandwidth, and faster speeds for the same price we were paying.  If you don't like it, sorry to say it, but tough shit.  The site is exactly the same except for the boards.  Once everything is ironed out (you remember the post that said 2-3 days downtime?  This is those 2-3 days as we get shit fixed), it will run fine.

Look at it this way: You lost, what, post count and a board type?

I've spent well over 100 hours getting us over to this new server in addition to what I do for the site, and I'm not even doing the boards.  We're planning better things for RPGFan (can you say movies?).  So quit your bitching.  The site's still within the period I set for complete downtime, but we were up a little sooner than I expected.
