The history of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is now so complicated that every time I tell it I contradict myself, and whenever I do get it right I'm misquoted. So the publication of this omnibus edition seemed like a good opportunity to set the record straight--or at least firmly crooked.

Just unlocked the RPGFan quest.  It says I should be level 24, but my level 22 guys are going to rock this!

One of the RPGamer codes gives a nice early weapon.  You want to scan that one!

OK, the main thing to consider here is: Are you actually going to use your 3DS as a legitimate, travel thing.  Do you need it to fit in your pocket or a small bag?  If so, go with the original 3DS model, because it can be those things.

If no, get the XL.  It's not even really a contest - much larger screen without fidelity loss, decent battery life, and all the same functionality you'd want.  The only downside is also its upside - larger screens mean a larger unit.  So it won't fit into your jeans pocket (maybe cargo pants) or a small bag, but if you've got a messenger bag or backpack, it'll slide right in.

I'm just waiting for the right deal to come along for me to get an XL and transfer all my 3DS data.

So how long is the QR code going to be up for?

I'm going to order the game this week, but won't be able to play it until July at the earliest.

As long as I can pay for the server.  So pretty much forever.  It's also located on the EO4 pictures page.

Downloaded LoL the other day to see what it's all about.  It's alright, but I'm not really feelin' it.  People go crazy watching it.  Saw like a 60-120k viewers on some twitch stream this weekend.

Also surprised champions are that expensive to purchase.  I figured 5 tops.

As champions get older, they get cheaper, put on sale, etc.  It's the skins that are so expensive it's crazy.  Some are $15+.

Ordered a copy of Front Mission 2089 for relatively cheap.  Because I can't learn this lesson, despite having done it over and over:

You speak as much Japanese as an 18 month old child and RPGs are full of text, you idiot.

Is it wrong for someone like me to like this game? Because I'm really enjoying the combat, the sub systems, and the characters are really funny and cute. I don't understand how reviewers have to act so purist by condemning the game because it has things in it that they find offensive even though it's just a game and none of the characters exist in real life.

Hell, it's not wrong at all that you like mk2. However, when I review a game, I'm going to tell you how I feel about it.  Different strokes for different folks.  Ideally, someone reading a review should look at what's said and interpret how it's going to be for them - I'm not you, so I can't tell you how to feel.

Donnel is a super soldier.  Possibly Captain America.

I just had a boss attack him.  Boss's attack did 0 damage.  Donnel countered and critted the boss for 165 damage.

1 is a pretty abysmal game.  mk2 significantly improves its combat system, but I wasn't impressed by the rest of it.  Neptunia V is pretty similar to mk2 at this point, but I am not particularly far in it.

I found them really....twitchy?

For lack of a better word. Loose. Not precise.

Really easy to aim all over the place.

Not trying to troll, I actually want to play both these games, since they're supposed to be classics.

I haven't played the SS2 re-release yet (I'm at work), but do you have a DPI-variable mouse?  That might help with the twitchiness of DX if you have, say, a Logitech G500.  Throw it into a lower DPI mode and see if that helps.

I'm playing this on Normal Casual because I really just want to play this without worrying about anything.  Is the game easy?  Of course.  But I'm enjoying the character interactions and turning Donnel into a warrior of destruction.  Can I marry him to Lissa?

The fact that it's already more than 1/4 the way to its goal and it's been, oh, half a day bodes well for it.

The Wildman... struggling a little bit more.

Won tickets to tomorrow's Wild vs Predators games off of Twitter.  Gonna be a very hockey-oriented weekend for me, and I'm not complaining.
