1441  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Persona 4 on: July 06, 2008, 05:28:13 PM
I'm so hyped for this!!!! From what I saw of this from the trailers, I'm going to have more fun playing this than P3. I did have a blast playing P3, though.

Does anyone know if the dungeons are randomized again? I was hoping for something more like P2.
1442  Media / Single-Player RPGs / "Countdown Site" = Chrono Trigger DS? remake, new on: July 02, 2008, 03:30:06 PM
I'm really looking forward to this. I never did get all the different endings. I do own the cart, but something about being able to play it on the go is appealing to me. I don't have much time to sit around playing tons of games now, so being able to boot it up on my DS and play for 15-30 minutes at a time is nice.
1443  Media / Single-Player RPGs / "Countdown Site" = Chrono Trigger DS? remake, new on: July 02, 2008, 10:38:09 AM
From RPGamer-

"Chrono Trigger DS will feature the classic multiple endings that it is famous for and will be unchanged at its core. Yasunori Mitsuda's score will return as will Akira Toriyama's character designs. The new additions to this version are dual screen presentation, touch screen functionality, a brand new dungeon, and an unspecified wireless play mode. Continue to visit the official North American website for more updates as they become available."

I bought this yesterday, but I'm debating on whether or not to start on it since I only just completed the first task on the first EO...

There's no reason story wise to play through the first if you wanted to jump to the second game. Character customization is sooo much better in the second game, though.

Finally picked this up. I'm already loving it. I played through the entire first game and I love the improvements from the first game.

I started out with a Protector,Landsnecktchhcalhflaf,Gunner,Medic and Survivalist. But then I decided I wanted something different so I made a new party that is a Ronin,War Magus,Gunner,Protector and Survivalist. I think I'll have more fun with this party. Can't wait to venture deeper into the dungeon!

Ehhhhhh... this reminds me of Ehrgeiz.

Which is to say, this reminds me of the first time I wept for humanity.

I thought the adventure mode in Ehrgeiz was decent. The fighting game on the other hand....

Persona 3's system is essentially press-turn :|

But with unlimited free turns when you point out a weakness, which I sort of dislike. It has it's up and downs.

Unless you get back-attacked in DDS, or go into battle unmutated.

Also levelling "MP restoratives cost too much/are too rare!" as a complaint against recent SMT games is a bit moot as you get so damn MUCH MP.

I've definitely been the vicitim of a random surprise attack by the enemyin DDS and getting destroyed because of it, with no chance of doing anything about it. You just watch your characters die one by one.

I enjoy both battle systems. I would have liked to see Persona 3 have the press-turn system, but I'll just play DDS if I want that.

"Earlier today, Blizzard added a "Diablo III General Discussion" to the Battle.net forums."

What was your source on that? I just checked GD on Battle.net and there's no Diablo 3 forum. =/

Looked pretty good... until I saw Mitsuda was doing the music. I think I'll pass.

The composer of a game affects your buying decision?

I'm fine with it. The female vocals are great imo. The shop music is repetitive but you don't spend much time in them anyway.

And the voice in the velvet room theme is killer.

I enjoy all the vocals. Especially on "Want To Be Close" and the track that plays in the dorm. I also like the world map music. It all fits the atmosphere of the game. I've always loved the modern/urban feel of the Persona games.

So, Blizzard has been releasing these images over the past couple days to prepare us for an announcement. Blizzard fans have been piecing together a puzzle that says it's possibly Diablo 3.

Here's the forum with all the clues fit together thus far.

Are you serious? Why haven't I bought this yet?!

I really like yuko but yukari is my favorite. I don't understand all the aigis love either.

The last date with elizabeth is just hilarious. The choices you are given, the way she hits on MC... wow.

Boldly accept...

Yukari is one of my favorite female character designs from a videogame. If you couldn't tell my Yukari love from my avatar. =D

Her voice actor in the dub was excellent too.
