I enjoyed the first game a lot, but for some reason I had no interest in this when it came out. I don't plan on buying it. I'd rather just buy the first game again.

Can't square just stop trying to change the Mana series around so much?
They know what the fans want, just give it to us already!
They should just put a port of Secret of Mana on the DS with global wi fi. Everyone would love that.

Media / Single-Player RPGs / Persona 3 Release Date announced

If it's $10 of extra content, I'd pay the extra $10. If they are releasing an "expansion disc" for those who already own Persona 3 in Japan, then I'm more or less convinced there is at least that much in there.
EDIT: What is the best way to contact Atlus to let them know I am interested in the extra content? I'd hate to have my e-mail reach wrong/apathetic eyes. I've emailed Atlus a few times and I always get the same guy answering my emails, Rob Stone. Just go to the site and look for 'contact' or something like that.

I hear that Dragon Quest game will have online co-op! And hopefully they stick to that - Yuji Hori and Level 5's territory, and I can't imagine SE really wanting to screw around with him. I'd really like to know whose deciding this crap, this is the same line of reasoning for CoM, so I suspect someone from up high doesn't want this or there's some shared talent.
Edit: Also can't forget that could be PR code for 'We can't get this to fucking work!' I bet they can't get it work. lol If they really wanted to emphasize the whole friendship/teamwork thing, then why not add some sort of messaging system into the wi fi? Some kind of menu that would bring up a keyboard similar to what's in Picto Chat, and you could use the touch screen and stylus to talk to eachother. It would work really well, I think. It wouldn't have to detract from playing. The keyboard could slide up from the bottom of the screen, and you punch in whatever you have to say and hit a button and it dissappears.

They screwed us with Children of Mana, and now this?
I'll never have 3 other friends with DS's that want to play this, or any other action/RPG multiplayer game for that matter. Just make a good action/RPG with multiplayer global wi-fi already!
I will probably still pick this up because it sounds like lots of fun for singleplayer too.

I've been stuck at the same spot for a long time. I find the game generally frustrating, from your characters permanently disappearing after a certain period of time, after they've fallen in battle, to the general difficulty of some battles. I had the same problem when I first played. I got stuck at the Riovanes castle battle and I saved between the first and second battles, so I was screwed and had to start over because Ramza was too weak to fight that battle alone. Once you get Mustadio, it's always good to make him a Chemist and have plenty of healing items and phoenix downs. The game isn't that hard, but there is some tough battles, but nothing that a little leveling and learning proper skills can't take care of. What battle are you stuck at? If you're interested in getting further, I could offer some help, but this isn't really the thread for that. :P

This is such a disappointment. I don't have a DS and I probably never will since I hate playing games on handhelds. This really sucks. You're missing out on some good games. As for this news;they couldn't keep Dragon Quest the same forever, could they? (semi colon used correctly?) I trust Level 5. Their games are always very good.

I'm around 70 hours into FFXII and i'm still loving it as well. Currently doing some hunts to get gil and loot. I'm gonna start going after some of the optional espers soon. What! They brought back espers in FFXII? I have a Digital Devil Saga question. The Atma Bonus skill. I know that when you set it, it gives your whole party the bonus, but if I equip another person with the same skill, does it add more to that bonus?

I thought Cielo was fine with magic; he was my number one healer. I managed to get through the game with him in that role. Did he really have that low a magic stat? How was his Strength stat? I remember he had great Agility but I can't remember how the rest of his stats worked out. Yeah, you have it right. Cielo's main stat is agility. He's as good with agility as Argilla is with magic, but the rest of his stats are average. In the mid to high 30's range. He has really good luck too. I wasn't saying he's bad with magic. I have him equipped with some elec and earth spells and mediarama if Argilla isn't in. He just doesn't do as near as good of damage as Gale or Argilla though.

Haven - I can't believe you haven't finished it yet. You are almost there!
Anyways, my favorite team was Serph, Gale, and Cielo. Serph was my physical attack jugernaut. I basically did the same thing that Haven did: charged and then released Ragnarok on them. Gale was my Jack of All Trades. He could do physical and magic attacks. Cielo was my main healer who unleased powerful magic. I'm trying to make Serph really powerful with magic. I like that you can distribute points to him, because you can make him however you want. The others not quite so, unless you take some time to collect noises to boost their stats. As far as I see, the two best users at magic are Argilla and Gale. Argilla's magic stat is around 57 right now and Gale's is around 48. Cielo's isn't so high(Around the high 30's) which is why i'm curious you'd have him as a magic user. Not that he's bad, just average as far as magic is concerned. All my characters are in the low 50's for level right now. Except for Serph, he's in the high 50's. I'm going to have to grind alot soon to finish all the sidequests. (ARGH! Grinding!>_<) I never use Heat. He sucks with magic, and I just don't see a need to use him for just physical attacks because Serph and Gale are just as good at physical. He's a good tank though.

I got back into Digital Devil Saga again.
I was playing Devil Summoner, but after that thread of finishing RPGs, I felt guilty about not finishing DDS first, so I picked it up again.
I'm doing some leveling right now in the last dungeon. It's crazy how if the enemy gets the first strike in, you could end up with a gameover just like that. I save after every few battles because of this.
For the people that played this game, what party combination did you use and what were your skill set ups for each character?
My party right now is: Serph-With Bufudyne, Ice amp, Xanadu,Ziodyne, Diarama and Makaja Gale-With a high level elemental set up and Elec drain Cielo-With high level elec spell, Mediarama, and some status ailment spells

What Wii games can be played online as of now? Zero. Huh. Then why am I hearing all these people complaing about getting their Wii online? I don't have a Wii myself yet. I plan on getting one after xmas. After all the madness dies down. I'm glad it's backwards compatible with GC games so I can trade my GC in towards it when I get one. :D
