Looks like the game isn't even going to reach its target goal.

I've played all of Matsuno's games, except Crimson Shroud, and it's just sitting in my 3DS digital library. I've loved all of his stories (Vagrant Story, being the best, in my opinion). If this game makes the $600,000, and we don't get Sakimoto-san as the stretch goal, I'm really not sure if I want to play the game, as he is essential to Matsuno's games.

Unless the Kickstarter starts picking up more steam, I don't see it reaching $1 million. I share your sentiments, though; if Sakimoto isn't involved then I don't think I would play the game.

Matsuno is not the director of the game. A lot more weary of this game now. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-01-18/yasumi-matsuno-not-directing-unsung-heroes-game

If it doesn't get 1.3M to at least get Sakamoto on board, then I don't think I'll care that much. The entire atmosphere of the game will be counting on Sakamoto doing music IMO.  Who would be on sound duty otherwise?

Square finally does something with my favorite Final Fantasy, but that something is not anything worth talking about.

I'm still trying to understand what "Bravely Default" even means. Is it saying to default bravely?

I don't like the way it looks, though it could be worse. It's like they sucked the atmosphere right out of the game.

Persona Q is being lead by the director(or is it producer?) of the Etrian Odyssey series and we know it's a dungeon crawler. I thought more about this. It's possible the game will have non-random dungeons now! Just that possibility makes me excited. Thinking further, we could even get some sort of integration of a skill system similar to the the Etrian Odyssey series. Maybe your Persona will have skill trees now that we can level up! The possibilities are making me giddy.

I've never liked skill tree systems that are so limited you have to plan your character build carefully or else completely gimp your character. It's why I never really got very far in any of the Etrian Odyssey games.

This is why they implement rest options to completely reset your character if you don't like where it's going. The penalty in the most recent games is only a couple levels lost.

There are plenty of options to choose from and ways to build your characters that there is never any wrong way to choose. You can't possibly "gimp" your character unless you're putting in 1 or 2 points into everything, thus not getting the full benefits of leveling up your skills. The main rule of thumb is that whatever you invest in,make sure you see it through to the end, or at least half way. And with the recently added difficulty levels, if you play on easy or normal, you can't possibly lose even if your build isn't exactly "perfect".

I see that nobody guessed correctly that everybody's guesses were correct.

Still, I'm surprised Atlus neglected to mention that Naoto (or whatever the name is) will be in all the games. ALL THE GAMES!!! (Yes, even Persona 5.)

The character from P4? How do you know she'll be in P5? We don't have any information on the game yet besides that 1 minute trailer.

@Yggdrasil: You know, you're right. It doesn't seem totally off base, but it was certainly unexpected.

Believe it or not, I'm actually interested in Persona Q despite what I said about being sick of P4. At least it allows you to use either P3 or P4 characters. Looks like it'll be fun game to kill some time with. The P4 rhythm game on the other hand? I'll wait for further judgement. I like rhythm games, but something about seeing Persona get this treatment irks me. I'm not sure why I'm fine with Final Fantasy getting a rhythm game (that I actually really enjoyed), but not Persona. Apparently there's some canon story in there somewhere, too. Maybe it will have RPG elements?

Not much to say about Persona 5 yet other than that I'm incredibly excited. That trailer was creepy and I loved the pulsing, minimalist music in the trailer. I'm happy it's on PS3. I'm not getting a PS4 for a long time.

An admin on the Atlus forums claims about Golden 2 and P4: volume 2

"Neither of those things exist, and even if Japan was going to announce them, they'd be nowhere near the state to have English recording."

I really hope it's not a P4 sequel.

I'd rather have a different SMT spinoff that's completely unrelated, along the lines of another DDS or Strange Journey.

Somehow I don't think we're going to get any more of those though. :/

Well, we know it's not SMT related. It's definitely Persona related. I'm out if it's a P4 sequel. As much as I liked P4, I'm sick of seeing it. Was it REALLY that much better than P3? (I didn't think it was) I prefer P3 much more over P4. Seriously, Atlus, enough of P4. It has two fighting games, plays, anime, endless merchandise and an enhanced port. Definitely doesn't need a sequel.

The demo is only out in Europe or something?
