That was from that video showing what cat nip does to cats. There was like 7-10 cats all around these cat nip plants going nuts.

Here it is.

Ok. I guess that picture wasn't from the video. It's still interesting anyways. :P

What characters are you using? And what are your character builds? Depending on your builds, resting might not be such a bad idea. You might not have good enough builds for the floor that you're on.

My builds seem alright. Dungeon crawling is mostly hard because I don't have a healer. However, bosses pose no problem even remotely. I don't really feel like going into what skills I have. The root of the matter is deeper than that. While I (maybe) could go all the way down to the bottom with my current party, why would I when I don't gain experience for killing monsters. That's part of the fun for me. And conversely, if I did rebuild, why would I want to spend time regaining levels I already lost in order to do them again, but "better" this time.

It's a game play formula that doesn't really appeal to me. Not to diss the game, I just think that the leveling system is too discouraging for me.

That's fine. Every game has a level cap though, so I don't see what the complaint is. Some are just higher than others, and most games won't let you reset your characters to change them around. Once you reach level 99 or whatever in most games and you allocated your skills, that's it, you're stuck with what you made.

I also just realized your problem. No healer. The Medic's Immunize skill is basically a must have at those levels of the dungeon. It protects against elements as well as physical attack. Pair this with the Protector's Defender skill and you have an ultimate defense barrier.  The protectors anti element skills are also a must have at these levels. But only bring them to level 5, because that's the only level where they null the damage.

I had to quit this game today. I got down to level 25 and then, suddenly, 4 out of my 5 members stopped gaining experience points. Then I realized that this game has a level cap at level 70. I really liked the classes my members were so I didn't want to restart them on a new class, and sending them back to level 1 for a nominal stat boost seemed pretty silly. So, I'm pretty bummed. I really want to get to the last stratum but without leveling up, what's the god damn point?

Oh well, D&D Tactics comes out soon and this game was going to get put away soon enough anyway.

Why don't you just rest your characters? They only lose 10 levels and you get to reallocated all those points, plus 8 extra if you rest at 70. Any higher levels, I think, would make the game less balanced. The cap is 70 for a reason.

Because I don't want to continuously regain the same 10 levels over and over again and I especially don't want to be frozen on the same floor I'm on while I regain enough experience to continue onward. Also, (surprisingly) the game is still hard at level 70. I'm hardly blowing through the floors like you might expect. I think you are meant to have restarted your characters (thus accumulating bonus points) several times. Seems like a very strange way to handle it though. Why wouldn't they just have more levels instead? Sheesh.

Playing through Halo 1 on Legendary.

About 3/4 through Assault on the Control Room. I so love this game.

Also, raising mah pokemon.

Halo 1 is so much better than 2. I loved to go through Co Op in that game with one of my friends from time to time.

Replaying through Persona 2 right now. Probably going to stop on Tuesday when P3 hits. :P

I'd be all on board with you guys if we didn't know for a fact how obsessed people get with this game. Which baby was it that DIED because his parents couldn't find time to feed him? This bitch though? Yeah. Probably suffers from Vaginal dentata.

My brother plays this game all the time. In fact, he's met like 4 girls from playing Everquest and WoW. One is visiting right now from Canada. I just roll my eyes at it. Whatever he wants to do.

So, now my girlfriends friend just showed her WoW and she's been playing it. I told her, you better not start playing that damn game too!

I've been trying to find an opportunity to bad mouth Chrono Cross here... but I'm not really feeling it at the moment. Just be prepared, though, it will come, when I can think of something ;)

Oh boy. XD I'm not a huge fan of that game, don't worry. I enjoyed it, but not crazily so.

Before I make my post. I have a question for you Prime Mover. Did you get your name from a fork lift company? I was at work and I saw a machine that had the name Prime Mover on it, and I thought to myself."Doesn't he post at RPGfan?"

Anyways.

Top 3:

Chrono Trigger:What needs to be said that hasn't been said already? Great game, great replay value, charming characters, fast and simple battle system with cool combo system, interesting story, lots of side quests, awesome music. I could play it over and over again.

Vagrant Story: I loved this game. I think it was the story and characters that grabbed me into this one. And the atmospheres of each area. And the Shakespearean dialoague. Sydney was a great villain too. After one play through I got used to how the battle system worked and how to make weapons to make certain areas easier. I was able to enjoy myself a lot more a second time around.

Parasite Eve: Similar battle system to Vagrant Story that I liked a lot. Again, interesting story. I liked the setting of the game, present day. Music was good too. I wish I still had it. I'll have to ebay this one.

I can't think of any older Square titles that I hated with a passion, so I'll just skip that part.

50 cent is just a plain idiot, glamorizing the "thug life" while he himself lives in luxury away from that shit(why am I thinking of the Boondocks episode with Gangstalicious?).  I listen to Nas and have a lot of respect for him, most of the best rapper IMHO are educated and literate(Mos Def, Q-Tip, Chuck D, etc).

Check out Cunninlynguists! Best hip hop group I've ever heard.

Even though Bleach is a standard Shonen manga,I still enjoy it. I love the art style.

With animes like these, it's almost always better to read the mangas than watch the animes.

MORE Dragon Quest remakes...? >_>;  IV was already remade on the PSX, V on the PS2...

KEEP ON MILKIN', SQUARE ENIX.

We never got any of those remakes. :P

We'd be lucky to see these ones for the DS.

I like the new graphics. Well, not really new. It looks the same has Dragon Warrior VII, possibly better. It's hard to tell from those small screens.

I hope atleast one of these gets ported to the US. Specifically VI.

If this was GG vs Street Fighter rather than an offshot of their answer to Dynasty Warriors, it would be the greatest fighting game ever.

That most likely won't happen anymore. It was rumored a long time ago, but that's it.

This looks like a really good fighter though. From the videos I've seen so far, it seems to mix old school with new school.
