This is the best looking DS game yet.

Well, Death Note is finally over. Definitely one of the best anime/manga's I've ever watched/read.

Now I'm reading Bleach. I'm enjoying it a lot. More so than Naruto. Naruto has been pissing me off. Waiting 2 weeks for 20 minute episodes where barely anything happens. I know I can just download the manga, but I guess I don't care too much to do that.

The manga in America is going at such a slow rate that there's no point in reading it here. Even the anime in Japan is way behind the manga there.

Put me down as hate.  It's too dull and repetitive for my tastes.  I've tried to push through it a couple of times because I hear the story gets really good, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

It doesn't help that there's a fucking timer.  I hate games with timers.

There's a timer? What are you talking about?

Oh, the counter thing. That goes at such a slow rate that it doesn't even really matter. It only gets boosted by much when you go into the dragon mode. Or use D-rush.  Which the game encourages you to use anyways. So there's no downfall to any of it. It's how the game works.

I don't give a fuck if it goes up a tenth of a percentage every fucking hour.  If there's even a chance that I can't beat an RPG due to running out of time, then my interest plummets.

Well, you don't need to get angry about it. Haha

All I'm trying to say is, there is no way your timer will run out if you normally go through the game without abusing the Dragon transform. You could even use it a couple times and still have time left. D rush too.

I loved it. It also has on of my favorite RPG soundtracks ever. I never did get everything in the game though. Getting a 1/4 ratio is near impossible.

And I'm not sure why people found it too hard. I thought the challenge was fair. I'm really trying to think of things that were hard, but I can't. XD

At this point, graphics aren't really a big deal for me. It's next-gen! Every game on every new system better look good.

And I guess I shouldn't be in here, since I don't own any next gen systems. XD
1536  Media / Single-Player RPGs / should Star Ocean: T.T.E.O.T. be played? on: July 03, 2007, 08:48:06 PM
Yes, you should. Who cares about the story? If you're having fun playing it, then continue.

Never mind that computer AI evolves and reacts to the player.

What games are you playing that do this? They certainly haven't added it to the games that need it the most..fighting games!

I think the games look awesome, but I'm not about to drop $500 or so just to play either of them.

Still playing Pheonix Wright too... this 4th episode, I like the story, but the other attourney is just a fucking obnoxious asshole, to the point of impeding on my enjoyment of the game, for the moment. All in all, though, KILLER game.

I think that character is doing a very good job then. :P Making you hate him and all.

Oh no! Not 3 people in the party! That'll ruin everything! -_-

Yeah, I always use Cuff or Gag with my whip DH. But they're only at level 4 right now, so the chance of it binding aren't too high at the moment. It usually takes a couple turns. Sometimes it won't work at all. =/ It's good that it does more damage than normal attacks though, so if it doesn't bind, atleast I'm a step closer to not dying.

Do you know what the purpose of binding legs is?

Wow, it's starting to look like Gamefaqs here.

I don't get where all that hate comes from, but hen again, my way of looking at games may be rather simplistic. The only question I ask myself is: "To what extend did I enjoy this game?"

I'm aware no game is perfect, but when I'm playing a game for fun, it's hard for me to pinpoint it's flaws. It's different when I'm reviewing a game, but in general I don't like to put the emphasis on the negative.

But maybe my taste is just plain horrible. I mean, I like Saga Frontier, Final Fantasy V, Secret of Evermore...[\quote]

I'm pretty much the same way. I've boughten plenty of games that I didn't like more than others, but I don't try and look for what was bad about the game. I just say to myself, "I didn't really enjoy it all the way through."

I actually liked Secret of Evermore more than Secret of Mana. ::runs:: >_>

Hmm. I deliberately left Cure 2 on the Protector alone because of the sheer advantage of Cure 3. When it comes down to it, a maxed Cure 3 costs the same MP as a level 1 Cure 2 and is guaranteed to heal all of a character's HP. It's infinitely the biggest advantage a medic has.

Yeah, I have no doubt, but I wanted to be cool and not put a medic in my party. Really, it's kind of a thing of mine - I like beating games without using healer classes. It proves my RPG balls. I guess. And you're right, even maxed out Cure 2 isn't even a full heal for one character.

I don't have a medic in my party right now either. I think it's more fun this way, but I think I'll need him back later on in the game.

It's annoying not having a Medic, because you have to waste character turns to use heal items. Thankfully my sword Dark Hunter has Drain. Your characters will be dying a lot more without a Medic in your party, that's for sure. Multi hit attacks are a pain when you don't have an item that heals all of your party. >_<

I'm only on floor 7. And I haven't even started mapping it yet.

I set aside my original team to make a Sword DH, Whip DH, Troubadour and two Survivalists team. They're now finally caught up to what my original teams levels were, so now I can start exploring again. I find I'm having a lot more fun playing this team than I was my original. Which was:Landsnecht, Protector, Medic, Survivalist, Alchemist.
1545  The Rest / General Discussions / I lost another cat today on: June 16, 2007, 03:00:45 PM
I'm sorry to hear that.

My oldest cat, she's about 16 or 17, is getting close to passing soon. I'm going to have to put her to sleep. It makes me sad thinking about it, but I live in the city, and it's my only option. She ended up getting diabetes a few years ago, and I've had to give her an insulin shot everyday.
