Yeah, I didn't think so. That's why I was confused when that guy mentioned something about Shadow of The Colossus battles in a thread about a level 5 RPG.

So comparisons to other RPG's aren't allowed if they weren't made by the same company?

Has anyone found a better scan? I can't see a thing with the current one.

I didn't say that. The way he worded his sentence made it seem to me that he was saying Level 5 made Shadow of The Colossus. That's all.

...but I doubt it will feature the grand battles that Shadow of the Colossus featured.  Alas battling enemies with a similar scale should be something to look forward to in any genre of game.

I'll keep my eye on this title for sure.

Level5 made Shadow of the Colossus?

Fuck no. But this game sounds similar. Except instead of David vs Goliath, this seems more like Ultraman vs Monster-of-the-week. Need to see better scans though.

I want this so bad! But I can't afford it. I have to save my money for the game itself. lol

Does anyone think this will be hard to find a few months after it comes out?

I want to get it, but there's other games coming out that have higher priority than this and I want to wait to play it.
1716  The Rest / General Discussions / The PSP is totally worth its price! (note: sarcasm) on: September 08, 2006, 02:44:11 PM
My friend has gone through 2 PS2s and two Xboxs. I've never had any problems with systems I've boughten. I've had my PS2 for 4 years and it's never had a problem. Not even a disc read error.

As Andrmgic said, emulation is about the only way to play some games  now - Metroid 3, Secret Of Mana, Chrono Trigger, etc. I only managed to play FF III this way, but I couldn't be bothered to play through it, and I knew it would be coming out on ds, so there was no point. And it wasn't a good one. It was sort of the same with FE 6 - it hadnt been translated. So you can see why I don't like ROMs.

But now the Virtual Console and X-Box Live Arcade (not forgetting Sony's one) make it kinda pointless to download emulators and ROMs, so nobody will do it - except for those annoying people who refuse to get anything legally. Hopefully, Nintendo will finally release on the VC such classics as Super Metroid and Secret Of Mana, which have never before been re-released. Maybe us Europeans will finally get Earthbound... XD

I still use emulators to play SNES games(FFVI, Earthbound, SoM), but I own the games. I just like being able to play them on my laptop.

the videos look terribly awesome, although the responses in the battles seemed slow.

it's definitely a game I will buy in november.

You mean September?

I knew this wouldn't live up to the hype. Stop making the FFVII spin offs! =/

The boss of many forms wasn't that bad.  You can die on any form and not have to start over at the beginning.  In fact I died on the last form and started on the same form at full strength which made everything easy.  I guess it would suck if you ran out of gimmel coins though.

Oh and Tales of Legendia is okay.  The second half of the game (character quests) is actually better than the main voice acted part of the game.  It does a really good job of character development, but the battle system gets really repetative.  Hold off on this one since there are better games out there.

Again Wild Arms 3 is the worse one in the series for me.

Opposite for me. I loved WA3, but couldn't get into WA4. I liked WA2 alot as well.

Maybe it's because I was playing other games at the time I tried out WA4. The battle system was fun though. There's too many RPGs coming out these days. @_@ I don't have enough time to play them all like I used to.

I put about 50 hours into it and got bored. It was decent, but not enough to keep me leveling my characters and weapons 'til level 999.

I sold it to a friend for $40. I wonder if he even played it?

I just don't like playing on a handheld. I like my eyesight and neck muscles too much.

Reading a book will do the same thing to you. =P

And why did this topic turn into a debate about the DS and Mitsuda's(I think that's his name) music?

So, uh, you hate games then?

I thought I was the only one that noticed that he said that. =P

"I hate the DS, so I won't play any games on it even if they are good." XD

I think it looks better on the GBA personally.
