It's not a gender thing. It's an "I have a fucking degree and wasted four years of my life getting it and also maybe lost my mind and ability to give a shit about anything ever again in the process but by god I did it" thing.

Also my favorite TV shows right now are My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Kekkaishi.

Leyviur I am so turned on by you right now. I'm thinking about annulling my one-sided stalker crush on Thoren because of this.

I seriously seriously hope you're joking about that My Little Pony shit. Because if you're not either A. You're retarded or "mentally slow" for your age, or B. Thar be a Pedobear here.

check out that lean my character does

he leans like a gay guy

and he likes it up the butt

but you will never see the gay sex he is constantly getting

you do not deserve it

I believe everyone deserves to have good graphics in great games.

Sorry that art is not important to you.
33  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 01:02:53 AM
Your taste in art is about as tolerable as a rabid dog's taste for fine cuisine. Except the rabid dog probably has marginally better taste.

I'd rather clean my anus with sandpaper and let infection set in than listen to your thoughts about maturity or how JRPGs have awesome sauce stories.

Oh yes and muscly hulk men beating up everybody is art. Nice. -.-

And can people stop misinterpreting my opinion over the story thing?!!? A FEW JRPGs have good stories but definitely not the shit that's coming out today.

that is my fable character

he has a few battle scars but he is a total stud

it is too bad you will never be able to witness him taking it up the butt

I wish I could if they just change the shitty eyes :/ Does anyone here agree with me that JRPG art is superior while WRPG is superior in gameplay but is lacking in the graphics department????

2. It is not!!!! Cardcaptor Sakura actually is quite mature and deals with the nature of personal relationships.

Okay despite the fact that I'm pretty sure you're trolling, I'm too sexually disfigured to make love to my wife anymore so I will keep humoring this.

Basically if you care about how 'mature' something is your opinion is... I'm going to be nice and say malformed. Assuming you're being serious here, which is possible because you said you were 18 and are probably lying and actually 17 which would explain everything, I honestly forgot where I was going with this sentence but I swear to god it would've been the most epic diss ever.

No.  Naruto is for girls to begin with.

Okay so CKS is for 2x girls. A 2x girl is like a regular girl but like, you know how Xenophorms have pharyngeal jaws? It's like that, but thing /lower down/.

You probably have a different mind-set for maturity since you're a guy.
36  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:57:58 AM
Wow talk about not respecting people's tastes in art....or maybe you don't know what real art is.

says the girl who values games where you can have gay sex above games with meaningful content simply on the basis of the gay sex

1. Are you some kind of homophobe????

2. I do value meaniful stories, if I'm in the mood for them. But really video games should not be treated as a story-telling medium. Go watch a movie or read a book if you really want a story. Now some JRPGs do have good stories but with the quality that's getting released today, I'd rather they just focus on WRPGS using *a good art-style* and leave the story-telling to other medias.
37  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:55:28 AM
maybe you should make your own games then

Maybe I just will. My ideal game would be combining the art style of JRPGs with all the elements of a WRPG.

That would be the most epic type of game ever, and I would finally be able to play a WRPG^^

FYI I'm 18 and the anime I grew up on was Sailor Moon, so no I'm not your new age, Narutard or Anime noob that only knows the anime's from Adult Swim.

1. Naruto is on Disney XD.

2. Card Captor Sakura is Naruto for girls.

3.

Well I would like it if it weren't for the artwork. The game is like a racy, violent version of Harvest Moon where you can be gay or lesbian and have gay sex!!!!

S.. H...

WHAT THE FUCK

1. That I have never heard but who cares I hate Naruto
2. It is not!!!! Cardcaptor Sakura actually is quite mature and deals with the nature of personal relationships.

3. Isn't it..... or is it not 0_0 I thought in Fable you could be gay.
39  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:52:19 AM
i have found another kawaii artwork for you

it has big eyes so it is for you

i am sure a japanese person made it

so that makes it good

Wow talk about not respecting people's tastes in art....or maybe you don't know what real art is.
40  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:50:47 AM
The thing that you need to get is that in the west anime is a niche. The anime boom and fascination with its artstyle dwindled out years ago. The majority like realistic graphics and environments. That is what sells, which is why they do it. Either adapt to the art style or SOL.

I just find it so fucking unfair that I'm denied playing great games just because they won't make it in a art-style that's easy on my eyes. :/ It's frusturating you know.
41  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:49:42 AM
1. Nobody ever liked Fable anyway why do you keep talking about it like they did?

2. Xenogears' story was fucking awful by any metric.

1. Well I would like it if it weren't for the artwork. The game is like a racy, violent version of Harvest Moon where you can be gay or lesbian and have gay sex!!!! That's like a fangirl's dream, fuck story I'd take a game that would allow you to do that over the most well written JRPG any day. If only I could stand the art-style....

2. I wasn't implying it was, I still haven't even finished it, I just used it as an example since I know it's known as a pretty big epic. (not neccessarily good though.)
42  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:46:30 AM

also seriously anime has been almost universally shit since the mid 80s and if you can't recognize that you grew up on full metal alchemist instead of good shit like fist of the north star.

basically if your anime doesn't have radioactive jesus killing people with rainbow orgasm beams just get out.
FYI I'm 18 and the anime I grew up on was Sailor Moon, so no I'm not your new age, Narutard or Anime noob that only knows the anime's from Adult Swim.

I grew up on Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muyo, and Pretty Sammy.

Research. Do it.
43  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:44:31 AM
just because I think JRPGs have better stories

*snip*

I wish I could try out WRPGs but I can't because the art hurts my eyes. :/

So, you haven't played through WRPGs, yet think you're in any position to state that JRPGs have better stories?

You know, I honestly don't care if people prefer JRPGs over WRPGs, because they're entitled to that opinion.  But between the nonsense you posted above and the fact that you think that artwork of a creepy looking Vaan complete with a vapid expression on his face has more artistic merit than the three pictures Thoren posted... seriously, get the fuck out of here.

Okay perhaps that was unfair of me, I wouldn't know if WRPGs have better stories maybe they do. I'm just imagining they wouldn't from what I've heard and also how could a open-ended game have any type of story???? The game focuses on a totally different thing then a story driven RPG does. It would be like comparing Harvest Moon's story to say like Xenogears. You can't compare them story-wise of course because one is a set, linear path, while the other the story is just set up for you do make your own life. I still love them both though, but for different reasons. They each fit my mood for something different.

I'm just saying that I wish WRPGs could be like Harvest Moon to me, because I'm itching to play Fable. But again, I'll say it once and I'll say it again. The art is crap, pure unadulterated shit.

Go back to art school.
44  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Western RPGs versus JRPGs on: February 16, 2011, 12:32:50 AM
With that said though I have never played any WRPGs and have refused too not because I think they suck, on the contrary they'd probably be my most favorite genre. (Fable and Mass Effect sound epic.) The reason I don't play them is....well.... the art style sucks donkey's balls. If I don't have a pretty game to look at, there's no way in hell I'm touching it even with all it's open-ended awesomeness.

In my opinion the main problem with Western RPGs is just their art-style and that's it. Western developers should learn from the Japanese artistically and make their character designs look more anime like and less realistic ugly muscly.

Call me shallow but I stand by my opinion

Really?  A ton of people hate the anime look.  I'd rather NA developers stick to their guns because they (well, Bioware) has created some good shit lately.

Oh and lmao at Fable even sounding epic.  Fable 3 is horrible.  Fuck peter molyneux
How could Fable NOT be epic, you can do whatever you want in that game. INCLUDING choose to be gay. Just think, LIVE YAOI :D
