Wasn't DQ VII supposed to come out for 3DS? Or was that just a Japan-only thing? It's like how I heard of DQ X's announcement and never heard anything about the game again until years after it had come out. I bought a used copy of VIII at some point but never played it because by that point the PS2 had been replaced by my X-Box 360.  I'd probably pick this up.

I think the problems more in that you have to battle on the race tracks instead of actual battle arenas like they used to have. Unless they added some?

I remember seeing how many DLC costumes for Graces f there were on the Playstation store after I got the game and being miffed about it. Wasn't it nearly $5 per costume? I can't remember.

I definitely don't have as many games as you, but it is reaching critical point for me. There's still freaking Gamecube games unopened on my shelf, let alone the Wii/PS3 stuff. I agree with Klutz as well. I grew up in a world where, if you didn't pick up the "niche anime game" around the time of it's release, it was bound to disappear off the shelves forever and wind up on Amazon at a super-inflated price, and I like my physical media (with the occasional extra goodie), so I usually wind up just getting new JRPGs as they're coming out. It's a terrible habit. I just ordered Fairy Fencer F and will probably pick up Omega Quintet next paycheck.

And then there's my job, and school, and my social life. I go through games at a snail pace these days. In my teenage years, I could waste a whole weekend on a game, but in my 20s, I'm lucky to get anywhere past two hours in a day.

I'm right there with you buddy. I bought all of the Arland trilogy at once and Rorona Plus was announced a week after I did that. I have the Dusk trilogy too, and the Annie game for DS. Haven't touched a single one, and Annie's been sitting on my shelf unopened for years at this point. My backlog is huge, and other stuff just keeps getting in the way.

The new Mario Kart DLC pack came out today and it is excellent. Nearly all the tracks are complete, winners. My two favorite Super Circuit tracks have been reimagined, I can play as Isabelle, I can race through Animal Crossing and Big Blue, the chaos of Baby Park returns. Just fantastic. I honestly hope they do more DLC packs for this game every now and then, but if this and the first pack are all there will be, I'm satisfied. Great stuff.

I own every game but SO3, so I'll probably pick this one up. Took me a few seconds to realize the diamond patterned clothing was revealing that girl's skin. XD

Oh god yeah. Vesperia looked utterly orgasmic. I remember playing both Graces and Xillia and somewhere in the back of my mind, I kept thinking "I remember Vesperia looking better than this. Did it though?" over and over again until I finally put the disc back in for the first time since 2008 just to see.

Well, Diantha kind of took over having (Mega) Gardevoir as her mascot Pokemon, and little Wally hasn't been relevant in 11 years, so he's perfect for introducing Mega Gallade. It's a change I like. I loved his story in the originals with how he overcame being a sickly kid to becoming the rival who was the final obstacle standing between you and the Elite Four.

It makes sense. Besides Mightyena (sp?), those were the sort of "mascot" Pokemon of Team Aqua and Magma. I can definitely see Archie and Maxie using the mega forms in their final battles.

Beat it tonight. I got the semi-good ending while trying to get the true ending, because that first little dialogue choice at the end sequence throws a bit of a curveball at you, so I'm a bit miffed about it.

I have a lot of likes and dislikes about the game, but it's late and I'm tired. I guess the short version would be: The game is about at the same level as Xillia for me. There are things I thought this game did better than Xillia, but it has its own share of problems that holds it back a bit.

Thanks man. I will touch all the things in that place, and leave no rectangle unturned!

I am so glad you guys mentioned those items, because it turns out I saved just before Chapter 10 last night. XD So they're in these cray ruins, eh? Can't have a Tales game without ancient-yet-superior-technology ruins!

Mutton is love. Mutton is life. (Mutton is fresh.)

I actually laughed when the game said something to the effect of "In these fractured dimensions, you can re-explore the maps for little item points like you did in the prime dimension." Um, no? I'm not re-running all over the box canyons looking for every shining thing and little bag on the ground, especially when this version of the map isn't going to exist in a few minutes.
Um....the fractured dimensions also have their own treasure chests....

I can't imagine the materials in those chests being terribly important though. Like Cyril said, unless it's an extractor or something the player really doesn't want to miss, I'm just willing to rush from plot point to plot point in the fractured dimensions and get it over with.
