Thanks man. I will touch all the things in that place, and leave no rectangle unturned!

I am so glad you guys mentioned those items, because it turns out I saved just before Chapter 10 last night. XD So they're in these cray ruins, eh? Can't have a Tales game without ancient-yet-superior-technology ruins!

Mutton is love. Mutton is life. (Mutton is fresh.)

I actually laughed when the game said something to the effect of "In these fractured dimensions, you can re-explore the maps for little item points like you did in the prime dimension." Um, no? I'm not re-running all over the box canyons looking for every shining thing and little bag on the ground, especially when this version of the map isn't going to exist in a few minutes.
Um....the fractured dimensions also have their own treasure chests....

I can't imagine the materials in those chests being terribly important though. Like Cyril said, unless it's an extractor or something the player really doesn't want to miss, I'm just willing to rush from plot point to plot point in the fractured dimensions and get it over with.

I should back to this. I'm on the Oscore Plant dungeon, but with the debt thing and the awkward weapon-switching mechanic (guns aren't interesting. At all.), I kind of lost interest.

I agree about that character thing, Klutz. The way everyone just kind of comes together again gives me extreme Dawn Of The New World vibes, but the returning cast here feel much more involved with the plot this time. Or at the very least, Jude does. In fact, I wouldn't have minded if the story was re-written so that Jude/Alvin or whoever was the one in debt and having to do this stuff for Spirius Corp. Rewrite Elle's character, get rid of Ludger and the choice thing. Ludger is boring. The way his silent protagonist thing is presented is pretty jarring compared to what I'm used to from a Tales game.

I agree Dice. Elize is sooooo much better in this game. And I'm not too far in the game, but Teepo seems super downplayed now. Though because he says Elize's inner thoughts and she's more open now, he's had some pretty funny one-liners.

I did smile when I heard that voice clip again.

FRESH MUTTON!

Edit: Did... did they just have a skit where Alvin and Leia discussed texting, emoticons and memes? In a Tales game? Surreal.

I now know what the debt thing is.

I do not like the debt thing. ಠ_ಠ

Er, how does a suit and tie look weird for a character that lives in a psuedo-modern world? Especially considering the entire male playable cast sans maybe Jude, wears them.

Because when it's magic and swords, it just looks weird, dude. :p

Walk into Gamestop, four of the Collector's Editions on the back counter. The couple checking out are asking the employee how much it costs, and after he tells them, the woman says "Oh hell no, who would pay that much for that?!" I lean in close, and say, in the deepest voice I can muster, "MEEEEEEE..."

I'm probably going to be playing this with Ludger in Emil's getup. The suit and tie thing just looks weird to me. I also like how the CE version of the game case is made to look like Xillia 1's instead of all dark purple like the standard case.

EDIT: Aaaaand the code that came with the game isn't working. Errrrgh.

Oh.

My comment still stands though. XD

I am not looking forward to doing that whole debt thing again.

Yeaaaaah... I forgot I preordered the Collector's Edition of this one. The store called yesterday with the reminder. My wallet is swearing at me profusely, I like to imagine.

Though I think I've got about $40 down on it so far, so that should ease the pain a tad.

Just got the email from XSeed about it. Didn't expect it this soon and will definitely buy. It's been about three years since I played the PSP version, so replaying it on PC should be a fun romp.

Old habits die hard. When I played ALBW, I still ended up doing the second set of dungeons in (mostly) ALttP order, when possible. Except they switched where the ice and lava dungeons were, but I still wound up doing Turtle Rock last.

I actually did notice Story Of Seasons while perusing Amazon a few days back and my initial thought was "why is XSeed localizing what is clearly a Harvest Moon clone?". I didn't know about any of this going on.
