Why make a Pokemon Grey and when you can double the profit with a full-blown sequel in two more versions? XD
Well, as much as Unova as a region bores me, I did like the story, so it will be nice to see if this brings N back into the fold and shows what he's up to. And it looks as if Reshiram and Zekrom have fused with that Kyuurem (I can't remember the spelling).

In addition to what Fadedsun said, I love the soundtracks to this series and the artwork is really pretty too. EO3 pre-order artbook ftw.
It's just a fun series to waste time with when I can't think of anything else to play.

*shrugs* I just assumed porting a PSP title to PSVita would be redundant to Falcom when they could just put it on the network or something.I don't know. If they could do a physical re-release for something that was on the last system, that would be fantastic, I just didn't think they'd bother. I just love XSeed's special editions so much and it would be a shame to lose that to digital-only releases.

If I had to get Steam to play the rest of the series, I'd be willing. But man, I wish they'd just get physical Vita ports. Wishful thinking on my part, I know. XD Poor XSeed. In a perfect world, they could have brought this series over a few years earlier.

Yeah, never really could get into Yggdra Union and KitN. I tried to find Riviera too. I was just looking for a new series, but when I found out that the Dept. Heaven series were only loosely connected, I figured trying to get through gameplay I didn't like wasn't worth it. Both games have just been sitting around collecting dust.
(And for some reason I have KitN on DS and PSP, so I'm thinking I forgot I even owned it at some point. o.O)

Actually, from what I've seen, avoid the 3DS version. Classic era levels have their designs ripped from the original Genesis layouts, and the rest of the levels are very poorly designed. Boss battles are good, though, but the team really phoned it in on that one.
As for the console release, it's great. I've played it to the point that I'm sick of it. XD

I like the first game. But then I got bombarded with:
-Clones -Memories being moved around at ease -At least three people who were Sora in some way. Hell, maybe I'M Sora for all I know. -The heartless were fine. Then we got nobodies, and unversed, and these dream thingies -The heartless invaded a... database... wut. -Ven put his heart in Sora so Roxas looks like Ven but he isn't Ven and my brain is leaking out of my hearing holes. -Oh good, we defeated his heartless. Oh shit, his nobody is still alive. Oh good, we defeated that too... what the hell do you mean that restored him completely? FFFUUUHHHH-- -The beach between light and dark? Is it... metaphorical? -Body takeover -The journal is... alive -The journal just got... digitized? -You know what, just screw Coded. That's what ultimately killed this series for me. Let's play an entire game to figure out something I already know. -Seriously, any time they involved computers, I just shook my head.
I still enjoy the combat, to be honest, but god, the story, and all the convoluted crap in it. The charm this series started with almost ten years ago is lost to me.

I've had two other readers tell me Canada doesn't have it yet. Another reader, Amazon and EB all now say April 30th. :(
Yet someone in Toronto found it yesterday. I DON'T GET IT.
Maybe there's someone on the shipment truck just throwing random copies off of the back. I'll pick this up tomorrow. Maybe this time I'll get past where I was in the GBA version, which wasn't that far at all.

I just beat it. XSeed did a fantastic job localizing this. All the characters' dialogue is entertaining, which is good, because there was a LOT of dialogue in this game. Took me fifty hours to get through. Had great plot twists, the music was fantastic, and that cliffhanger...
I don't want to spoil anything, but that cliffhanger really left me wanting the Second Chapter out here as soon as possible. This was worth the wait.

I played for about three hours and skipped straight to The Oath In Felghana. I much prefer the ability to swing the sword on the DS version to the traditional "bump" system this one kept. Graphics are beautiful, though. Much better than the fugly DS polygons. I might come back to this down the road, but the story isn't new to me and I just can't stand the whole bumping thing.
