AUUUGHH How do I get my SR3 character into SR4. I've signed up on the website, I've downloaded the Inauguration Station, but it doesn't let me on! Why is this so complicated? Why can't the system just look at the old data?!

I'm about to say screw it and just try remaking my guy. Like I always do. Damn it, Volition.

BTW I caved an bought it. I am so weak. :<

What, as in revoicing Dawn of The New World? That would be awesome. Though I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

Not to put down the cast they had, I thought they did a good job ( and it's not like it was their fault), but Lloyd just wasn't Lloyd for me without Scott Menville's voice.

Haha! XD It reminds me of what Abyss keeps doing over and over.

"Could it possibly be...?"
"Something wrong?/ What's up?/ Huh?"
"It's n-nothing. IGNORE ME!"

It makes certain plot twists waaaay too predictable.

It was Shrowser. XD Bowser was possessed by the Elder Queen Shroob and the battle was pretty much a dodge-fest.

SS had Bowletta and BIS had Dark Bowser, both infinitely better battles compared to that.

Finally, someone who shares my opinions on this series.

BIS did a lot that I didn't like. I get that Bowser is, well, Bowser, but I hate when a protagonist (and he was one here) never really gets what's going on in the plot as they progress through it. I think Mario and Luigi being inside Bowser for most of the game could have been funner if all of their areas weren't freaking side-scrolling. I thought the giant Bowser battles, while cool-looking, were kind of crap to play. A lot of the outside areas felt pretty bland besides that bay you start off in. I felt like more could have been done with Fawful, it being his turn to be the big bad, and I felt like way more could have been done with the Dark Star. When it finally starts gaining sentience and Mario and Luigi chase after it, it's built up in a very "here's the true villain, now the plot's really beginning!" way, and 10 minutes later, we're suddenly in the final battle.

That last one is more of a problem on my end for assuming, but still: I thought I had reached the halfway point of the game when I suddenly realized I was at the final boss battle. Probably the most I've ever been underwhelmed by a point in a game's story. I swear Superstar Saga felt twice as long. On the plus side, I still think that final boss had my favorite theme from any Mario game ever. And the game's still pretty good in it's own right.

Dream Team looks fun though, and word of mouth seems to be better than what I saw for Partners In Time and Bowser's Inside Story, so I'll pick it up when I have a chance. But there's so many games coming out already, and I've got that PS3/GTA5 bundle pre-ordered for next month. Gah! XD

Wished they'd number the M&L games. There is a continuity after all, light as it may be.

Superstar Saga is still my favorite 10 years later. I know a lot of people love Bowser's Inside Story, but I always felt it was only a step ahead of the mediocrity of Partners In Time. Will still play this one though. I do like the light continuity they have going on in the M&L series.

If they've really made the dungeons more open and less "oh god, which room is this they all look the god damn same" then consider me a happy camper.

I think Graces suffered more in terms of "dungeon sameness" and walking corridors n such, but every so often there'd be some 'trick' or something to do.  Problem with Xillia dungeons is they're pretty big..... but there's also, literally, NOTHING TO DO IN THEM.  You walk.  And you walk.  You jump up a ledge.  Then open a door.

That's.  It.

There's also, I think, more towns than fucking dungeons.

Also, I read up some spoilers on Xillia 2 --- NO I WON'T EVER REVEAL ANYTHING ABOUT IT EVER -- But I think there was *way* more time and love put into that game's plot.

Ah, I haven't gotten to play Graces yet, so I wouldn't know. ^_^; I'll be tackling it before Xillia.

I'm replaying Abyss right now, and it's a lot of the Sephiroth dungeons that are looking samey to me. Though if memory serves me right, Symphonia and Legendia was a bit worse in the whole "every room looks the same" department. It's been like 7+ years since I've played either of those though.

I accidentally read one as Tales of Castrata. XD

You know, down the line I would not mind a canon crossover game. Not necessarily two separate casts meeting each other but like, say, Derris Kharlan suddenly flying past the Abyss world or Vesperia's world or something.

I vastly preferred Saints Row 2, but 3 was still pretty fun in its own right. I am glad they're bringing back the super powers from that Clones DLC; that was a freaking tease. I won't be buying it when it comes out though. One thing I saw happen with 3 is that a second version of it subtitled "The Full Package" came out months after it for half the price and with all the DLC included. I suspect the same type of thing will happen with SR4, so I'm waiting this time. GTA 5 can tide me over until then.

Since I won't be getting a PS3 until next month and therefore can't start Graces or Xillia, I decided to pick up Abyss for 3DS from Target. It had a price cut! :D

Not my favorite Tales game, but I do really like it and it'll be nice to play it again after so many years.

Well, at least I know I'm not alone. I was talking with a friend earlier and he suggested the same as you, to play until I get every party member. So I'll try that.

I love earthbound personally but I say there are waaaaaay too many stellar RPG's accessible nowadays to waste time on something you don't care for.

You're absolutely right. *Throws The Last Story into the garbage and puts in Xenoblade.* Topic is to old to revive, but yeah, TLS has been bumming me out too. XD

I played up to Threed. I tried guys, I really did. But I am not seeing why this game is so loved. This game's insanely tedious. I keep getting my ass kicked, and since they let you keep your levels and stuff, I've basically been strong-arming my way through the game. I knew the plot wouldn't be very deep at all, but I still expected something charming. Besides a few funny-looking enemies, and some random one-liners, there's almost nothing here. Each town's plot has been paper-thin, it took waaay too long just to get Paula (and she's level fucking one, wth?), it's usually unclear on what you need to do next, and it feels like there's hardly any strategy to the battles at all. The game really just seems to be famous for the mood whiplash of Giygas and his battle.

Pleeeeaaaase tell me this gets better. Because I've been anticipating finally getting around to playing this for a long time, and I really wanted to love this.

I've heard it isn't the Link from ALttP/OoS/OoS/LW, but it does take place where I hoped it would, oddly. XD Between LW and TLoZ1.

You could just pick the other character with a new game plus, yes? That's usually when I make a different choice in a game; when I get to play it again with extra bonuses.
