Have to admit after playing so much of Divinity the action based combat in PoE seems less fun than Divinitys turn based.. still cant wait tho.

Looking pretty good, I will wait for release to see how it is before I jump in on a game (learned this over the years the hard way)  Between Divinity Original SIn, Wasteland 2 and this I will have RPGs galore for awhile now.

I put my game on ice for now waiting to see the 2 upcoming companions.

I'd rather use companions than henchmen and I don't like the 2 available right now.

You do know you can enlist whatever you want and whichever level you want in the Homestead, sure you dont create them but we traded out Jahan for a Ranger.

Yeah, and there are a lot of viable strategies that take into account some risk. My buddy and I have also found hard mode to be the way to go. You start out weak, but you very quickly become powerful, so hard mode helps the game really demand that you make use of all that power.

We got into a fight with a bunch of drunk goblins and poison flowers, and it was a symphony of explosions. Turned out, letting the drunk goblins burn themselves to death running on fire was the way to go. Quite amusing.

Funny.. we did the drunk goblins lastnight! My friend is an Air/Hydro mage and I am Geo/Pyro, he hates when I spread my fire all over the ground because it limits his vision. I killed him 4x in that fight because he insisted on moving up..haha

The sleeping goblins a bit further in the camp was a real hard fight for us too.. I think all of last night which was a few hours we only got into 5-6 fights but most of them were epic.

About a week in and I have 2 games going and they are both in the same spot which is just at the end of the first area (level 9 and 10) and about to start on the second, in my multiplayer game we are playing on hard and having a great time with it.  I am very happy that create your own charcater games and isometric real RPG style games are coming back.. really forgot how much fun they can be and how enveloping they are.

I honestly think the best part of this game is how its turn based, you can really set things up well and every fight, even the same reloaded fight will be different.

I love this game so much! My pacing with it is a snails pace too.. so much to do over every area you are in. This is by far the best RPG to come out in years.  Game of the Year easily so far.. RPG of the year hands down.  I cant recommend Divinity Original Sin enough.

Heh.. yea I didnt expect much in terms of client graphical optimization with these betas. Are those new shots? or from someones test?

I am trying to find the client again, I uninstalled it thinking we needed to once again.

/shrug I have 4 guildies that got it in the past 2 days for $54.99 by turning down the $5 fee
13  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic (RPGFan Guild Edition) on: November 29, 2011, 10:52:32 PM
The games retail price is $54.99 EA is charging people $5 for a shot to get early access (all 5 days are not a guarantee, its all pending on when you enter your early access code on how many extra days you get)

So what I was griping about is how EA is charging people $5 for early access (and hiding the price for it, they only show pre-order $59 early access games to buy right now), I think its quite unheard of for any game.. especially MMOs to charge 1/3 of a monthly fee to play the game a few days early.

Its just a nickel and diming complaint.. I mean people got crazy over the $2-5 bank fees and this is not even a month long like a bank fee would be.

After not really liking the game all that much weekend beta 1.. this weekend I played with 2 friends and had a great time.  I actually ended up loving the Smuggler/Gunslinger class on the Republic side and will play that on launch. I am not giving into the EA BS where you pay $5 for a shot to play the game up to 5 days early, I hop they dont nickle and dime people to death in this game.

Have it on the PS3 here.. about 20 hours in and so far not one issue with 2 characters and 10ish save files. The game really looks good on the PS3, only see some weird shadow rendering if I want to be picky.. but i usually turn of shadows if I can anyway.. they just distract mostly and make the game work harder.

Dont believe the anti-PS3 hype.. owned mine since 2009 and have had no issues on it whatsoever and I use mine daily as a media center and game console.. its pretty much on all day.
