Finished Lunar: Silver Star Harmony a few hrs ago, really, really fun game, been playing Brave Story for a couple of hours now, so far seems OK, we'll see, almost started YS: Seven but I wasn't sure if I should play the series in any chronological order or not, any advice?

When my son, who is now an avid gamer, was young I learned to play late, late at night and survive on little sleep. Now, late night and early morning sessions are my "be alone quality game play time"...old habits, lol, and CONGRATS btw, kids are great fun (for the most part)

Just bought my son Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX and Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (all PSX versions) for his "summer visit" present, pretty excited about it, pretty sure he's gonna freak out, lol.

On the last chapter of Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, game has provided me with quite a bit of enjoyment, although it is pretty easy, and Mana Khemia just gets more and more and more interesting!

...What's strange isn't thinking about all the people you know who've gone out of your life, or even not really caring if you ever see them again. What's strange is the ones you do think about. It's always the ones that turned out wrong, either by breakdown or drunk driving or--.
It's impossible to see the forest for the tree when you can't even see the tree, considering that the complexity and majesty in a single grass flower is fucking mindblowing!
A very good friend of mine, whom I had lost touch with since graduation, committed suicide a couple of years ago. I still have the strangest feelings when I think of him. In school he was the ultimate happy-go-lucky kid that everyone loved, played on the football team, kinda the "big oaf" everyone knows (although he was far from an oaf, smart guy, college prep course etc.). I sometime wonder what drove my friend (who I first met in 4th grade) to turn out so very upset that death was the only solution. It's almost like I sometimes feel I live in a time warp concerning my past. While I have certainly changed and grew, in my memories, and current thoughts, everyone is still young and care free. Really hits me when I go home and see someone I knew and realize wow, we've all changed...not sure about the trees or forest but anyhow your comment resonated with me... |

Not impressed, yet another action game with AI controlled partners. I guess it's time to abandon any hope of a turn based FF and finally accept the fact that we've entered the age of the "awesome" button.
Well, we can always hope, after all FFX wasn't that long ago...maybe down the road just for shits and giggles they'll make one a turn based game, maybe FFXVII, lol. Although I do like the fighting in XIII to be honest I also wouldn't mind a really well made "old school" game. |

I seriously don't see a lot of games for this collection getting released outside of the big ones or the ones that are first-party. Asking for all of the JRPGs of the system, like a lot of people is doing right now in other sites and forums will end up really disappointed with this. If they can do it though, great. If not... well, deal with it. Although I wish it weren't the case, I have to agree with you on this. It would be nice if Sony would just allow for PSP games to be purchased, downloaded, and playable on the PS3. That way even if the games we want didn't make it to the HD collection, it could still be playable. I want to play FF4 Collections on the PS3! I agree with both points, and while I don't expect to see more obscure PSP releases for the PS3 (I can understand bringing some to the States that might not sale that good being cost ineffective) it would be really nice if they were available on the PSN, even if just for a limited time, although I admit to ignorance on the cost factors of making such moves. |

It's like the old three bears beds...Heavy Rain is great but kinda short (although multiple endings add to it)...Demon Soul's is long and hard...Uncharted 2 fits right in the middle ;)

Ep 4-6 is some 20 or so years after the first three and in that small amount of time the Empire is able to completely wipe out memory of the Jedi and the religion of "The Force" which were incredibly well established just 20 years before. That's just ridiculous.
I have often wondered this myself, does seem to be a glaring issue! |
