Not sure what stage I stopped at, probably around the same time (in a northern snowy region). It just got tedious.

Oh cool, that's nice. I thought it was strange that it was nigh impossible to get 4000 without multiplayer. I have 3700 or so. :)

Ha ha, I thought it was strange to see Kai Leng trolling you. Before he was more professional and then he's doing that to make it personal? Why?

Is there any point in my getting 4000+ military readiness for the new endings or do all I get is one little image at the end again?

I am pretty much trying to do everything but it is almost effing impossible to get 4000 if you don't play online since your score is cut to 50%.

Mmm.... yesterday made a ham roasted with a port glaze and icewine to drink.

Its Canada Day but I did not feel like making Poutine.

Nocturne - No, you don't save the world; the world is destroyed in the first 10 minutes.

For FFVI, maybe not as overpowered as Genji--Glove/Offering but having Merton + everyone equipped with a Fire Shield or equivalent = enemies getting firestormed and you getting massive healing :D

Also for the same game, careful Esper management to ensure that your mages get every level up with Magic state increases and your chosen fighters the Strength increase. End result, absurdly powerful mages and attackers in short order.

FFVIII - Play cards. Get Quetzal's ability to change cards into items early (ie, before you become a graduated SEED). Turn cards into stat-boosting spells much earlier in the game than normally can be obtained. Cakewalk anything despite their level-matching.

The problem is that adults seem to have no idea how to deal with bullies. I was told to ignore it (yeah, that works, a passive target means MORE fun for the bullies!), tell the teacher (nothing happened), etc. I was tall, shy, socially awkward, friendless and deaf in a "normal" school. There were days where almost the entire class would taunt me when I tried to fit in. The majority of it were taunts, verbal abuse, stealing my stuff (including my precious sketchbook during a fire drill) and the like, but the more I tried to ignore them, the worse it got and some bullies escalated into physical abuse, including having a pencil driven straight through my hand.

The ONLY thing that stopped any bully when when I literally snapped and went batshit crazy on them. That happened to 3 separate bullies and they never picked on me again after that. Didn't do anything for the rest of the bullies though, so the constant self-esteem damage continued all the way until I graduated high school.

I dunno about the adults' reaction to the bullies - sure, I told my parents and they complained to the school, I told my teachers, etc. But there were just so many incidents and so many bullies, nothing ever seemed to happen from that.

I don't know if bullying is worse than it used to be - it may only LOOK worse because of the videotaped incidents. I'm sure if people had iPhones back then, there would be gruesome bullying incidents then too, as evidenced by our experiences.

Its pretty easy, just have to be careful sometimes to draw properly :)
189  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: trading in used games on: June 16, 2012, 01:20:10 PM
Same here - I have yet to decide I don't like a game, trade it in and change my mind. And I trade in a LOT of games.

If I liked a game, finished it, and have good memories of it, I'll keep it "just in case".

Its just the games that just give me a feeling of "well, this is the only playthrough I'll do EVER" or even "I hate this, I am bored, not entertained" that I trade in. I am picky though so I try a lot of trade back a lot too.  :)

It does seem weird that you can almost literally just use the main character over and over and over and not bother with any other characters.... Its almost an effort to use someone else once in awhile... :-\

I usually had Melia as the lead with Rikki and Dunban doing damage.

Or I'd play as Rikki myself and have Dunban and the 7th party member going. They both dodge so well that Rikki's sad little healing spell is often enough, especially if you give them gems to equip that let them gain a bit of HP with every hit.
192  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Code of Princess for N3DS, thanks Atlus! on: June 08, 2012, 09:09:56 PM
Never played Guardian Heroes either but I am interested:
(1) Atlus
(2) ACE+

Already did a replay of Mass Effect 1 and 2 and am holding off on my replay of 3 until the story DLC is done. *twiddles thumbs*

Tales of the Abyss? :)
195  Media / The Soundroom / Re: Mass Effect Soundtracks on: May 30, 2012, 09:18:23 PM
Ah thank you. I saw some hinting about a Mass Effect special on Soundtracks but its been awhile and when the Mass Effect 3 review was posted, I thought "well, I guess that was it" :)

Hmm... doesn't sound like 1 will hit the sweet spot then. I really enjoyed the majority of 3's tracks but 2's was really miss for me. Unfortunately I don't know who did what on 3 so I can't tell you if I think Mansell or Velasco are awesome :)
