1  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: New iPhone today, looks great on: October 04, 2011, 05:24:25 PM
Next phone, I think I'm still getting the Galaxy...

EDIT: really? no 4G?  Kinda basic addition ...

Well marketingly they have what T-Mobile and AT&T have been calling 4g (HSPA+). As for LTE, based on the Thunderbolt's 4 hour battery life, I don't think many people would ever turn it on if it was available for the iPhone.

I'm more annoyed that it's called the iPhone 4S. What are they gonna call the next one, the iPhone 5? That would be wrong because it's the 6th iPhone. If it's the iPhone 6 then they skipped a number! Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter that much.

It looks very good and I would want to buy one. Too bad it doesn't have the 1700 MHz band for T-mobile which I use. Looks like I will continue to use an Android phone for the forseeable future (for 3g).

Okay, I played peace walker so I'm very curious. What is the claw control scheme?

don't you know? Google knows everything: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0bzLXnx0k4

Hmm that works for a  controller with dual analog but how does it work for psp? The article said they added in faux dual analog for metal gear peace walker so what possible claw configuration could our have been?

5  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Razer Blade Gaming Laptop on: September 02, 2011, 10:40:13 AM
That's a great machine but you know how it is with laptops, when they become outdated there's nothing you can do about it. You'll get great performances out of all the games that will be released in the near future though, no doubt about that.

You say that but I actually found that in practice I never upgrade my desktop CPU's and I only upgrade my graphics card if mine just happens to break. Dont know about other people though.
6  The Rest / General Discussions / Razer Blade Gaming Laptop on: August 31, 2011, 01:36:06 AM
I want this gaming laptop. http://www.razerzone.com/blade#/video-tour

The touchpad LCD screen seems like the logitech keyboard screen taken to the next logical level. The $2800 price tag is steep though. Which laptops do everyone here use for gaming? I have an asus g50vt which I hate.

P.S. His voice seems like a dub to me for some reason. Maybe its the accent?
7  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: firefox sucks on: July 08, 2011, 05:22:15 PM
im not sure thats the reason since even opera runs videos better than firefox does

Huh. My opera runs video choppily. Probably because I have 50 tabs open.

Hot wheels circular tracks made me believe that the highways loop around like that just beyond the exist we take to my home.

Unfortunately, here is a review of a very similar (and probably superior) tablet brought to you by my favorite POPSTATION VALUE PACK REVIEWER:
10  The Rest / General Discussions / Anti-Chinese Capitalist/Inapproriate Pro-Chinese Guy Took Over the Onion on: July 23, 2009, 11:21:06 PM
I'm being facetious with the title though is this April Fools or did I miss something because everything on http://www.theonion.com/ become Chinese themed with stuff like "Grandfather Disrespected In Own Home," or "YAO MING!" or "Police Still Searching For Missing Productive, Obedient Woman."

11  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / So who tried Aion Tower of Eternity? on: April 11, 2009, 09:05:00 AM
I played the BETA for a few hours. Not really impressed. Seems just like warhammer online or WOW painted over with lineage 2 graphics with Vanguard avatar cutomization included if that makes any sense. Another possible annoyance to me is the difference in controls i guess. Of course the main problem is that all the characters look like generic final fantasy/lineage character art and thats just boring.
12  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The mysterious "Z2K" on: January 02, 2009, 01:02:49 PM
wtf is a Zune?
Seriously though, people rocking a first gen Zune deserve it, stop being a cheap ass and either buy an iPod or just dont use a portable MP3 device.

And if anyone says anything about a fucking iRiver I'm gonna hunt you down, worst mistake I've ever made.

Dont be an apple fanboy. Sansa's are perfectly fine with rockbox!

(This post not meant to be serious. Except the sansa part. Rockbox is great.)
13  The Rest / General Discussions / Computer Rig on: August 05, 2008, 01:01:53 PM
Get the asus xonar. In vista, it gives you eax and it sounds better. The 3ghz core duo seems overkill when you can overclock a 2.4 ghz or something similar to that speed. 4870's are great. I have a 4850 and it can play any game i throw at it.
14  The Rest / General Discussions / TVersity - Media Streaming Program for game consoles on: June 19, 2008, 06:42:47 AM
Yeah i use that for my Xbox 360. I had a hell of a time trying to get it to encode subtitles into my anime which were in mkv and ogm containers. Besides from that and the fact that it is ridiculously slow in Windows Vista for me for some reason so I have to use XP in place of Windows Vista, it works like a charm.
