1  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Limited Edition / Bonus Website on: May 26, 2011, 08:27:40 PM
Does anyone know of a website that lists all limited edition versions of games and pre-order bonuses?  It provides updates on new games so you have incentive to pre-order in advance.  I remember finding one sometime ago but can't find it again.  Thanks.

Disappointing to hear the After Years story is bad.  I don't mind the grinding as long as the storyline holds up.  I was hoping for something as epic as the story in FFIV.  I might not buy this after all...

Has anyone played The After Years?  If so, how is it?  Specifically, how is the storyline (no spoilers please).

FFIV is my 2nd favorite game of all time but I haven't played The After Years yet largely because I don't play downloadable games (for the most part).  I hope it's as good as FFIV.

Wow.  Horrible review scores from all the sites.  Does anyone here have the game?  Anyone have impressions?

Is the NP review the only available?

I thought this game looked real promising.

Anyone know what's happening with this game?
Is the release date delayed again?

Anyone have any hands on impressions?

If you like RPGs (which I am assuming you do), I recommend reading a book series called Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.

I'm 30 and a huge gamer (played all the old school and newer RPGs) but I still prefer this series over ALL my games.  It's THAT good.
8  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Anyone know what happened to White Knight Chronicles (Level-5)? on: September 11, 2008, 07:01:38 PM
This game completely dropped off everyone's radar.
I remember it looking amazing.
Anyone have any news?
9  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Tales of Vesperia or Infinate Undiscovery (or neither?) on: September 11, 2008, 07:00:28 PM
I'm big into RPGs but both of these games got mixed reviews (7s and 8s).
Have any of you guys played these?  Are either of them worth buying?

Or should I just hold off and save my money since it's going to be a busy Fall:  Fable 2, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Little Big Planet, Dragon Quest IV...

Thanks!
10  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Elder Scrolls Oblivion: Help Needed!!! on: October 19, 2007, 10:00:05 AM
I actually didn't know there was a "difficulty" option.

Thanks for the tip!
11  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Elder Scrolls Oblivion: Help Needed!!! on: October 18, 2007, 04:18:02 PM
After all the Oblivion hype and awards, I finally picked the game up.  The game is freaking hard.  I hate how enemies level up as you level up.  It makes it difficult to progress anywhere in the game!!!  I'm playing as a character with lots of stealth but can also cast magic.  Am I doing anything wrong?  Am I leveling up the wrong stats?   Please, someone give me some advice on how I should play this game.  I'm dying all the time and it's so frusturating!!!

Thanks.
12  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Need Advice: Wii/PS2 TV... HELP! on: May 30, 2007, 09:32:17 AM
Neither Shadow of the Colossus and God of War II look good on my 50" TV (even with upscaling and HDMI cables).  480p just doesn't look good on a huge TV.

I am a videogame collector and I am designing my ultimate videogame room.  That is why I need a TV EXCLUSIVELY for the systems that output up to 480p.  As such, this TV would be for playing PS2, GC, Wii (and other 480p systems) ONLY.

Basically, I wanted to find out how large of a TV I can go before I start seeing a decrease in picture quality...
13  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Need Advice: Wii/PS2 TV... HELP! on: May 29, 2007, 05:29:49 PM
All of your responses are appreciated, but none of them have really answered my question...

I want to purchase a new tv EXCLUSIVELY for playing my current gen consoles (PS2, Gamecube, "Wii"... these all only output to 480p).  I'm not worried about HDTV content or anything else... my 50" Sony can handle all those in the future.  I only want a TV that will maximize my 480p gaming experiences.

I am aware of upscaling of PS2 games on the PS3.  I have a PS3 and the PS2 games don't look any different on my 50" Sony.

As for buying a car, it's a waste of money when you live in NYC.  =)

Thanks for all your help!
14  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Need Advice: Wii/PS2 TV... HELP! on: May 29, 2007, 10:56:36 AM
Hi,

As we all know, current-gen systems can only output at a max 480p (Wii included).  On a large HDTV, this image doesn't look so good (Zelda: TP gives me a headache on a 50" HDTV).  So, I'm looking for the best TV possible for playing my current gen consoles.  This may sound simple, but I'm unable to find anything on the net that addresses this question.  The most important component is:  the largest screen size that maximizes image quality.  Does anyone have any advice?  Or can anyone point me to an online resource that addresses this question?

The categorizes of a TV that are of significance (in order of importance):

1.  Image quality
2.  Screen size (the larger the better)
3.  Widescreen
4.  Most inputs

Thanks so much for your help!

PS... I've been holding out on playing Zelda until I can find the right TV...
15  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Anyone have Blue Dragon Impressions? on: December 15, 2006, 05:14:17 PM
This may be the game that forces me to get an 360.  Anyone have impressions on this game?
