A fancy case affects my impulse purchases.  If there are extras included, I might find creative uses for them after the fact...

This is shameful, but true.  Maybe Jack Thompson can spin a case around this... back in my exploratory immaturity, I used to carry my illegal substances in the cloth bag that came with Lunar.  When it was "go time", I would set up the little stand up characters to amuse my cohorts while preparations were being made.  It was a nice effect, in spite of the overarching stupidity.  It was a long time ago... please focus on the "creative" use rather than my foolishness.

I think this helps the argument that extras like Lunar's are stupid, if this was the best use for them I could come up with.  Otherwise, I personally like extras.  I also believe that you have to buy into hype to enjoy a game fully, and playing with silly extras for 3 minutes before playing the actual game does something for the experience, in my opinion.

Nope. They're only usable when sent from someone else.

I understand that you can't change a voucher into a token without trading it.  How can you get more vouchers is what I'm wondering.

Corny ending.  I liked that the AU was the final boss, but it was presented so weakly in my opinion.  Super Metroid's ending was gripping... this was just "I'm dead, you win, bye."

Anyway, I'm pretty sure my number of vouchers has mysteriously gone up through gameply, so I'm going to replay a little bit on hyper difficulty.  I think I died to phazon overload once on easy mode, but that was about it.

What does Seth Green have to do with hip-hop, besides making fun of it?

If it were Seth Green with Del, I would think this to be an honest effort at a serious game... but I'd expect Seth Green to make fun of Master P.

Where has Master P been anyway?  I haven't even heard his name in about six years.

If it's true, it's gotta be a parody game...

I discovered that we are able to send more than one friend voucher to another person.  There must be a way to get more besides just trading, right?

I went ahead and read the entire script at gamefaqs, and was reminded of Killer7.  They both have similar subject matter, and controls that nobody likes.  It seems as if the presentation is just as schizophrenic as Killer7's, too... blatant falsehoods, bad chronology...

Being a big fan of Killer7, I am quite sold on Rule of Rose.

I have to add my two cents to SMT:Nocturne because I have never before lost consecutively to a boss 23 times in a row, fully believing that I would definitely win on my next try.  It didn't even make me mad... the challenge was so legitimate that I blamed myself for being stupid each time I lost.

Hard yet legit.

I agree with pretty much all of what everluck said.  I was worried about the level size myself, but then I looked at how low my completion percentage still was.  It should be safe to assume there will be many more levels.

What's wrong with the landing zones?

Also, friend tokens.

I edited it myself.  As embarrassing as it all ready is, I didn't want to catch hell for not marking spoilers :P

Winback was a lower profile game, and I was only watching my friend play it.  I asked him at the time if he noticed what I noticed, to which he replied "I don't see people as being of a different color."

So on the slim chance that someone is actually insisting on killing off black characters, nobody is seeing it that way, which is a good thing.

It's just funny to me personally how I'm always keeping an eye out for the black characters in games to test this damn theory, and then RE5 comes out with NOTHING but black people in it :P  If they really are trying to be racist, even I can't help but laugh at the RE5 situation.  I am having a hard time staying objective.  haha.

edit: I am currently playing F.E.A.R... the point I'm at has a black guy coming in to defuse a bomb.  We'll see what happens.

My dad is black, and I live in a small town full of white people, so I had the following quirk about me as a child.  Whenever the token black guy died in a movie, it struck me harder emotionally because the only black person I knew of personally was my own father.

Call me crazy, but this is what I've noticed.


Resident Evil 1: Black guy dies to the first zombie in the game.

Resident Evil 2: Black guy cop dies after turning white (zombification).

Metal Gear Solid: Darpa chief dies right away

Metal Gear Solid 2: The only black guy blows up (honorable death at least)

Metal Gear Solid 3 actually speaks directly about Racism, again, honorably.

Winback: Black guy on the squad gets sniped while still on the helicopter, if I recall.

I shouldn't notice, but I do.  It's racist to notice.

Are the jokes about the black guy dying at the start of the movie just a result of people like me keeping a tally, or is there something to it?

I've all ready mulled over Resident Evil being racist so I'm not sure what I think of this.  At least RE5 won't have one single black person to represent the entire race, only to have him killed.  But if my paranoia is correct, then RE5 is almost laughably blatant in it's portrayal of racist sentiment.

But, it's not like a videogame can lynch me.  I'll buy it, and I'll like it.  Mental masturbation.

I finished the game yesterday.  Now, I liked Red Steel's control scheme, but I think RE4's method is even better.  I now have high hopes for future 3rd and first person shooters on the Wii.

I have a widescreen LCD monitor that, in itself, doesn't have any options for scaling while maintaining an aspect ratio.

Basically, I want to play older PC games requiring a 4:3 aspect ratio, and I want black bars to appear on the sides of my widescreen so I don't get a fattened image.

So far, I've found that nVidia cards have had an option to do this for years, yet I can't seem to find an option in the ATI Catalyst control center.

I've got an X800 series ATI GTO2, PCI-e (256mb).

Does anyone know of any software that could perhaps handle this for me?  Am I just blind to the option in ATI Catalyst?
