With regard to people acting like their busy friends are being bad friends... my gf is convinced (or acting convinced) that I am seeing other women.  I live in a foreclosed house with my mother, waiting for the eviction notice so I can see to shit properly.  As if I'm slaying ass... "wanna come back to my mom's place?  Everything is in storage and she's a light sleeper, but they haven't cut the heat off yet and it's wintertime!"

The reality is that I am spending all day programming, which is basically work.  If I were actually at an hourly paying job, she wouldn't question those 8 hours of no-contact... but since I'm at home, in the zone, every day is obviously a day off and I'm just ignoring her.

And then there's Skrillex... FAWK!

Why would it be $30?  I've grudgingly paid $60 for games that I was barely curious enough about, but this was one I'd have happily given $60 for.

I hope it's because fans like me are in the minority, and not because the game itself is thin.

Oh, and I've had this preordered since it was called "Max Anarchy".  I'm good with the guys at Gamestop, so if there are any technical difficulties, they'll generate my Bayonetta unlock code (they've done similar tricks for me before, like when I lost my GW2 beta weekend key... cost me a preorder for Ragnarok Odyssey, but luckily that game turned out awesome--I digress)

As a swordsman I'm still using my defense based sword, as it happens to have a pretty decent ATK growth.  I think it's the Yr 2hander... it was from an earlier chapter, and I haven't been able to justify using even the executioner swords in Chapter 4.  I think I'm in Chapter 4 at least.

You all who added me, lets try to use our bedroom poring-angels to send each other a constant flow of items, eh?  You don't lose items you send through near; they are duplicated just for your friends.

I put my sword in there, if I remember.

I'm not drunk yet, though my memory is failing, obviously :P
34  Media / General Games / Re: Skrillex Quest on: December 01, 2012, 10:57:09 PM
So my cousin is a huge Korn fan, and Korn's latest album is a collaboration of sorts with Skrillex (they were fusing metal with dubstep).

My cousin is also in a metal band that is doing music for my almost-done game... a game which happens to be a weird derivation of Zelda and games inspired by Zelda.

I told him "you'll never guess who beat me to the punch... fucking Skrillex." When I showed him Skrillex Quest, even he couldn't help but laugh at the similarities.

On the bright side, mine is a mobile game, but I seriously felt raped when I saw this.  My project is very different, but the concepts are quite similar.  That's what hurts me (on a personal level) the most, but we'll see how everything plays out.

I'm now writing jokes into the script to account for this, so hopefully it escalates into Tupac/B.I.G proportions :P

What if this DmC Dante were to appear in Shin Megami Tensei IV?

...am I the only one who finds this slightly offensive?

The writing quality is undeniable, but they're really drilling that octoroon label.  I'm only a few minutes into it and am hoping that it turns out as offensive satire (which I do love) but Hoopz dribble transformation... man... I laughed, and now feel guilty, so I'm posting about it here.

edit: ...and now Jews.  Very well.

Ok, so it's not just "black people play basketball" jokes.  The East vs West rants from the pump are amazing.

After playing the demo, I yearned for Bayonetta and Devil May Cry 4.

It wasn't "unfun" though; the DMC name and the blatant attempts at coolness are all (most) of what upset me.

I remember Dante peeling himself out of a giant claymore that had impaled his chest, and saying "cool!"  This British flag nu-metal punk everything trendy is just the opposite... punks not dead, it just deserves to die when it becomes another stale cartoon.

The game has been out for about 3 weeks now, anyone playing this?

I got it a week ago and am really enjoying it now.  It took me a few days to grasp the card system and to even find the blacksmith and other vendors, but now it is an addicting and complete package in my mind.

I want to try out the online multiplayer and sending items through Near.  Apparently when you send an item through Near, you are sending a copy of the item, which obviously encourages trading.  Anyone on your friends list can receive it, as well as "streetpass" people (see what I did there?)

If anyone is interested, my PSN ID is Mojotron.

I get the same feeling when I see the black boxes... like walking past angry lions at the zoo: you know you're safe, but if the cage wasn't there...

I originally popped in here to see if anyone has experience with capacitive stylus' on Vita in case I were to get one and then buy the Vita version of VLR.  However, I checked the demo again, and the way the camera floats when using touch to manipulate it suggests I won't be gaining much if I use a proper stylus.

If you follow me so far, is this how the 3DS camera works too?  Or does the 3DS touch "grab" the camera and allow you swing it about with precision?  If so, I'm definitely getting the 3DS version.  If it operates the same as the Vita (basically swipe a direction and the camera spins that way until you release) then I might as well get a capacitive stylus and the Vita version for the audio/visual splendor.

My Pomeranian was my boy, knaaa~ mean?

All dogs bark... we have an Australian Sheppard, and it behaves similarly to my boy, knaaa~ mean?

whatever dog you have, make sure it fits in your hallway

999 is ... awesome?  I thought Saw1 was cool

As a child, my parents would shave our Pomeranian puffdog now and then, and I would always think "... he is that much bigger on the inside" (lie)

He acted like a man, and almost got killed for it (fighting dogs seem to have a code against murder, but the giant snout-snot print in his fur implied the intent to crush)

I'm taking a day off from programming a game for a cornered market... the zaniness... oh so zany...

edit: I have a phone interview on voting day... HA!  Mobile programmer... pfffft

...the prediction that the STALKER license gets used was pretty exciting.

Also, "Bravely Default" means a lot more to someone living in a foreclosed home.  Irrelevant, though.

Mesh is Neo.  Sounds like assembly programming.  He's listening to Shakira and stacking paper to the ceiling.  Ya heard???

Anyway, I woke up this morning to my right eye being puffy and... ill-responsive.  I must have gotten something in/on it.  I'll just keep it closed.

Sony...

Well, there is no Crisis Core on PSN, but if you have a PSP, you can buy a physical copy.  Phantasy Star Portable 2; physical PSP only.

I think Sony is genius, but I am not happy with them.  There is some nasty shit you can do with your Vita and the PSM SDK (rectified by the $100 price tag in November) but I still don't buy their reasoning for not having Phantasy portable 2 available on PSN.

I think they think that I'll buy PSO2 on Vita if I don't bust my nut all up in  PSP2, and will end up paying more child support to them-- sorry

They want to sell new games, and probably figured out our buying habits.

I imagined Jeff Ross being visited by Greg Giraldo, saying "Put that cigarette down, I have grown-up drugs for you."

Seriously though, don't live in an apartment and bitch about people acting ghetto.  Before long, you will be the same or worse than them.  Just move...

I told my gf to ignore our neighbors, but no... she ends up giving them rides, giving them our laundry quarters (which I have to withdraw from my bank account, $20 at a time)... but these people moved away.  Yay, right?  The next family had like 4 daughters, and again the gf is all about helping people... this preteen donk almost knocked my TV over, and said "[your kid] was chasing me!"  Yeah... I'm going to yell at me kid instead of telling you to go home.

So yeah, it only gets worse.
