In my opinion, as Toriyama said, they're just Call of Dutying the licence. Either way you put it, one Final Fantasy a year (a year and a half precisely), even sold at 2.5 or 3 millions is much more lucrative than one big Final Fantasy every four years costing 100 million dollars. Plus, with this Final Fantasy XIII saga, Square can save money on the artistic direction, the conception of the world, etc. In short on every aspect of the previous games that are reused in the next.

Kaine, Nier opening :

"Weiss you dumbass, you better start making sense you rotten book, or you're gonna be sorry. Maybe I'll rip your pages out one by one, or maybe I'll put you in the goddamn furnance. How can someone with such a big, smart brain be hypnotized like a little bitch, huh? Oh, Shadowlord, I love you Shadowlord. Come over here and give Weiss a big sloppy kiss, Shadowlord. Now pull you're head out of your goddamn ass and start fucking helping us!"

Finished another case in LA Noire. Fun game, but definitely rough around the edges. I commend Rockstar for its ambitiousness with this project and definitely hope to see a more refined game along these lines.

Not Rockstar, Team Bondi. Rockstar only gave money and edited the game. Well, they also participated to the development, but only at the end (something like several months before the game was released).

Played some Wild Arms V. It looks like shit on this HD television, but the game is so much fun! Lots of fun to play and the characters are just the right amount of crazy.
The staging doesn't bother you ? I mean, it's awfully slow don't you think ?

I've seen it and I'm in two minds about it. On the one hand you've got these nice special effects which give a nice rendering and the actors act very well but on the other hand man, only two hours, this is too short. You only have a glimpse at the big war, everything seems so frivolous. You don't have the impression that you're watching a movie that closes one of the biggest film saga. What's more they screwed up the final battle between Harry and Tom in my opinion. Whereas the one between Tom and Dumbledore was absolutely epic, this one is ridiculous.
I would give it a 6 out of 10.

I suggest Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII. The mix between the sad mood of the soundtrack and the fatality of the story is rather astonishing. Believe me, if you've already beaten FF VII, you'll love this one. It is really moving. Besides, it is really short (something like twenty hours or so).
