I went a little overboard with my castle in Fire Emblem Fates. I think, no, I know, I have the best one in my region now. Which doesn't mean much, since this region doesn't officially exist yet. I wonder if my castle will become popular when regular players can actually visit it. I've seen the rewards go all the way up to 9999 points, how many points will I gather before I get bored?
So what makes your castle the "best." Do you mean best layout? Most difficult to complete? Perfect in every regard?

I'm going to be going with Litten and Sun. Because I always choose the fire starter and always choose the "red" version (except for Diamond and Pearl I guess). I think I will probably also pick up Moon (or get a combo pack) so I can catch all the version exclusive legendaries in premier balls!

To be fair, White Knight Chronicles isn't a bad ending, it is just a bad story (with bad gameplay). Although you forgot about the "true" ending for WKC2. You know where after the main characters beat the uber villain thing, the true big bad shows up and raises a giant castle which the main characters proceed to ignore because it is part of the "final" online dungeon. And so after you trudge through a 70 or something level dungeon, you fight a boosted version of the final boss and when you win...I don't even remember if you get any sort of cutscene or not. Not that anyone can legitimately win anymore since the servers were taken down so the only people capable of winning that fight now are hackers. And now I am remembering how horrible that dungeon was. I will never understand how Level-5 managed to make a game about sentai knights into something this boring. The world of White Knight Chronicles could have produced something amazing, but nope. *sigh*

So far everything does look very pretty. :3 Only complaint I really have now is I'm not a fan of this looking to be Digimon-Persona (from what I see they're in a virtual/digital world since Support Girl typed in on a keyboard to give the party buffs). Dunno why but cyberspace-as-reality just seems so...90's-hokey and out of place in fiction now.
I don't think it is supposed to be taking place in cyberspace. Support girl appears to very likely be hacker (and the intel gatherer for the team), so her gimmick is cutting-edge technology and the like. So she interfaces with her Persona (a UFO?) via the way she is most technology, a keyboard. I mean we've seen the MC summon his persona in the real world before, so I don't think they are going to be limited to a digital world. Would not surprise me if there is a "digital world" element to the dungeon where you recruit hacker girl though.

Side note, totally going to waifu hacker girl. Although I do quite like the iron maiden girl as well.

Beat 999 again last night. Finished getting the sub, safe, and true endings. Managed to get through all of 999's puzzles except two without having to look anything up. The two that I had to look up were what the point of the broom with toilet paper wrapped around it was and the solution for the second to last puzzle in the true route because I was aiming for the wrong thing. Now to go onto my replay of VLR, where I plan to get all the endings again and then I will be ready for ZTD in a month.

What's your type? I'm sure we can find you a only somewhat disappointing good husbando if we know what we're looking for. Personally, I'd recommend the tsundere archer, but I know that's not for everyone.
I'm really not looking for anything. I already got all supports. I was just idly musing about it. Velouria was my "canon" waifu, but that is largely because I like her Red Riding Hood look. >.> For males, if I had to pick one I'm now thinking it would probably be Yukimura, although he isn't available in Revelation. He has one of the (relative) better support chains with female Corrin? Maybe?
22  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: New 3DS Fire Emblem Fates on: May 07, 2016, 07:10:27 AM
Well then, recommend me a husbando that's better than Takumi!
Obviously you should go for the best husband, Arthur. FOR JUSTICE!

More seriously, I have no idea who my husband would be if I was a female. The selection really is not good from my perspective. Fuga maybe?

I asked why and they said, people who you think are your best friends just out of blue start these horrible nasty rumors about you and everybody just accepts these rumors as true. I guess this means that Persona 2 is the most realistic JPRG ever made then. They both without hesitation said that they rather live and work in middle of nowhere West Virginia than live in Japan. So moral of the story is, the grass isn't always greener somewhere else.
...how is this different than American school? I know I had a "best friend" that tried this back in fourth grade or something (it didn't work in this instance because everyone else hated him and had known me since we were four). And I have a coworker who has told me about something similar happening to her daughter in middle school because her daughter didn't return the feelings of the star athlete resulting in the star athlete spreading rumors that made everyone hate her (luckily this situation has mostly resolved because the kids apparently realized he is a total creep).

Though it still bothers me how quickly Inuyasha went to crap. It had the potential of being my favorite anime had it not tanked so hard during the second season.
...I have no freaking clue of which arc of the manga corresponds to the second season. Or was that filler? Wait were there filler arcs in the anime? I don't remember. I remember one arc from the anime that I assumed was filler (something involving several bandits that were brought back from the dead by Naraku) which turned out to be in the manga when I later read the manga. Now I can't remember whether there were filler arcs in the anime or not since all the arcs are the exact same thing over and over again. x_x

Rumiko Takahashi's manga are generally all absolutely fantastic, but the anime adaptations are always filler-y.
I haven't read any of her other works, but if Inuyasha is anything to go off of, I'm inclined to say that the animes are only filler-y because the base manga is filler-y. >.>

I had an interview for a job at Kodansha last week and the manager sent me a copy of Inuyashiki Vol. 1 because he's really enjoying the series and is excited by it. So I started reading it out of curiosity because the premise sounded interesting. I'm to chapter four and have enjoyed it so far. Poor Ichiro, I felt bad for him, but I'm glad he's getting a second, hilariously rad chance at life.
My brain initially read this as Inuyasha as I stopped after the first few letters in the title, and I was just left confused as to why someone at Kodansha would send you a Viz title, or why someone would be excited over a series that has been over for years. Then I realized I misread it and everything made more sense. XP

Just finished the last Adventure Map in Hyrule Warriors Legends. Hurray! Done with that till the DLC comes out.

Till then though, I am going to start a replay of 999 and VLR in prep for the release of ZTD!

I leave the path and look for secrets/loot.
Pretty much this.

On my last map for Hyrule Warriors Legends. So close to finally finishing this thing...oh fudge the first DLC comes out this month doesn't it? Well at least the Wind Waker map is relatively small, so its Master Quest map shouldn't be "that bad." I hope. o.o

Sure the Seven Deadly Sins crew got better development over their Boss Fight squad counterparts in the other versions, but they were still the Boss Fight squad in 03, and it really didn't justify the shenanigans that led to bizarre crap like The Archinator or the weak ass Mustang Vs. Pride battle.
I'd argue that the majority of the manga Seven Deadly Sins got really good development (Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth being the exceptions). And I think it gets even better when you consider that their development (at least in terms of their sin) is essentially development of Father since they were born of his desires. So they show a very interesting image of where Father started from before he got to where we are at the time of the manga.

Oh and I'm sure this will go over well but I thought the ME3 ending was really intense and surprising, even though obviously it was somewhat bitter and negative (I would of preferred a different choice than the ones given) it still was quite powerful in it's own way.

Honestly though I liked all the ME endings (save 2, which I wasn't really a fan of in general, just kind of felt by the numbers)

But yeah ME1 saving the citadel and doing all that was pretty great as well.

I won't let you be the lone voice on this matter Art' as I happen to also think ME3 had a fantastic ending for the trilogy. When I say that, I'd actually argue that I found all the endings substantially satisfying to be honest. By far my favorite was the 3rd that was released after everyone had a shit-fit over it, but they all worked in my book.

Now that you bring it up, all 3 games were intensely satisfying in terms of their endings. I feel foolish for not having listed them in my post.
I'll agree that ME3 deserves to be mentioned in this list, but that is more under the worst ending portion than the best ending portion. :p

Really I think ME3 did two of the worst things that an ending can do. First it added a plot twist that is so stupid it hurts to hear (honestly I'm not even sure whether I would consider it better or worse than humans as a renewable resource that I mentioned above). Second it didn't tie things up at all. The latter can likely be expected (although not excused) since the main writer was changed midway through, but the former...I'll never understand how anyone thought that was good idea. And this is without getting into how OOC my Shepard felt throughout the entire ending dialogue.

As for the other ME endings, ME1 was a well done action piece. Don't consider it to be amazing, but I have nothing that I would criticize it for either. ME2 was...boring? I dunno. Nothing is really standing out for me. Also for some reason my brain is putting the ending dividing line for ME1's ending right before the Saren fight begins, but for ME2 the dividing line is after Shepard makes it back to the ship. Considering the human reaper, I'm not sure if that is helping or hurting ME2.
