Watched the first episode of season 2 of Iron Blooded Orphans...it was alright I guess? I barely remember anything about specifics of season 1 at this point though. Well I remember that the Gusion Rebake was an amazing suit that got nowhere near the screentime it deserved, and they decided to go with a token casualty in an early episode rather than let any characters die in the final battle against the super overpowered mech of death. Considering that is my recollection of season 1, I'm not completely sure why I am watching season 2. Oh well, I'm going to keep watching for now. Probably a bad sign that my first though when I saw the new characters was "Oh hey cannon fodder so they can kill off characters without killing anyone important."

On a brighter note, Monday's issue of Shonen Jump had a new manga, Amalgam of Distortion. I really like this series for some reason. Hoping it sticks around for a while. It is a bit (a lot?) darker than the normal Jump stuff, but I enjoyed it a lot so I am hoping it gets a good reception both in Japan (so it keeps running) and America (so it gets picked up for weekly translation by English Jump).

Contentment is good.
That's what I'm telling myself. Hopefully when I am 80, my imaginary grandkids will agree when I am talking to a sock puppet in a nursing home. :p

Congrats on a good first date dalucifer0. Glad things went well.

On the topic of online dating, have recently decided that I'm giving up on the concept of long term dating. Kinda realized that when I was messaging women, I was more worried about what I would do if they responded rather than whether they would respond or not. I might keep at it for something short term or casual, but I've realized I am perfectly content with my hermit lifestyle.

Normal, I think?

Gosh darn it.  After following all your frustrations with the game's difficulty, I kept encouraging myself with the idea that you were playing on Hard or somesuch.  Now I'm not as stoked about this title as I was before.

Not that I hate hard games (FTL is one of my all-time favorite games ever), just that RPGs with "cheap" or random difficulty spikes, especially with bosses, can really discourage me and make it hard for me to finish.
Just play it on easy. I went through it on easy and had almost no difficulty that I can recall.

Re: absentee ballots.  In NJ, I got my mail-in ballot a week or two ago.

As for that, if we had a big 4: Clinton, Trump, Stein, and Johnson it would be such that Johnson would siphon votes away from Trump and Stein would siphon votes away from Clinton so the "I hate both" fence-sitters could hypothetically vote against Trump without voting for Clinton.  But Johnson and Stein have been all but shut out in the media and you need more than just grassroots support in the presidential race.  It's like the Super Bowl- not only do you have the team's fanbase, but you have a whole extended fanbase that includes people who only watch that football game.
So yeah at least one state where they would be splitting the vote if they changed candidates. I mean they can't just say "all votes for Trump are transferred to Pence." That would be a Supreme Court case that they would lose horribly.

To be fair, the media has given some attention to Johnson...he's just horribly blown it twice when he has gotten the mic. So the majority of the attention has been on his fubbars rather than him. Stein? I honestly forget she is trying to run most of the time.

A bit miffed that the damn thing sold out before I'd even heard they announced the release date. I got the special editions for Symphonia Chronicles and Zestiria, so I would have pre-ordered this one too. 10,000? Really? Didn't the other two have more?
Just checked my edition numbers and Sumphonia collections had 18k and Zesteria has 20k. I do not immediately see numbers on the boxes for Xilia 1 or 2.

Yeah, when rumors swirl about the RNC looking for legal courses to swap candidates so late in the game and stopping preliminary projects for a victory party--combined with Trump himself making comments about how he won't drop out of the race no matter what--I think his number might be up.

That being said, feeling safe can lead to feeling complacent, so of course voting is still very important.
I will be voting (despite it being a complete waste of my time being in Texas and all).

I don't think there is anything the RNC can do at this point to pull him from the ballot in all 50 states. I don't know the rules for all the states, but I guarantee you there is at least one (probably a majority) that doesn't have provisions for changing a candidate. Especially since absentee ballots are on the verge of going out at this point. So if they were able to change their candidate, the Republicans would basically be splitting their votes as Trump would be on the absentee ballots. Hell considering Trump's popularity with the Alt-right, changing candidates might just split the Republican base at this point causing Clinton to get a ridiculously large electoral victory (vote split of something like 30 Trump, 30 Trump Replacement, 40 Clinton in Republican states).

I still think Trump's "apology" was a douchey "sorry, not sorry" thing.  He is not sorry for the bad things he's done.  He's only "sorry" because he got caught or was called out.  Even then, he'll somehow spin it against Hillary.
It was a 100% "sorry, not sorry." Which is why I said he "kinda" apologized. Normally he just attacks whoever attacks him. Although I suppose he might not be counterattacking this time since he has no one to attack.

Edit: Typed nothing instead of anything. Woops.

I feel like I should probably be upset over this limited edition selling out before I even heard about it (seriously 10k production size?), but I'm not feeling any anger over this. I guess I'm still feeling very meh after Vesperia? I seriously do not get why I dislike that game so much. >.> Oh well. Not sure if I am going to try and preorder in person or not. I am going to need to go to Gamestop to get a Volcanion sometime soon after all.

I keep finding that so odd because I generally feel pretty 'meh' about Tales games as a whole and yet Vesperia is among my top ten favorite JRPGs.
Wait did I say Vesperia? That is like the one Tales game I haven't played. I meant.. Xilia....wait no that is wrong again. Okay time to check the box because I have either blocked it from my memory or just forgotten. *checks* Zesteria! God damn that took longer than it should have. >.>

So on the topic of politics...Donald Trump actually kinda apologized for something. When you consider all the shit that he hasn't apologized for, that tells you how freaking radioactive his campaign (rightfully) thinks this recording is. He very well may have accidently secured his loss five years ago with these comments because him bragging about essentially sexual assault is now going to be on attack ads in every swing state.

Then again this is Trump, so it will play well to his alt-right base. And he has said many things that should have sunk him before. I feel like this one is going to stick though no matter how he tries to get it to go away.

So the final boss of Trails of Cold Steel is basically the Nosferatu fight dialed up to 11? Fuck.

Well, despite my Nosferatu strategy obviously having no chance of working, I did happen to get the boss down to below half HP on one attempt without too much trouble. Problem is, the battle seems heavily based in luck. Every time I've died it's been because the boss uses its ultimate attack, instantly killing three of my team members, and then absorbs the fourth before he/she gets another turn.

I found the best way to kill that boss is to be really fast. If the battle goes on for awhile all the shit that you said above starts happening and it is tough to recover from since revived characters get a huge turn delay for some reason. With the right set up you can kill it will a few S-crafts. Specifically Rean and Laura. Just buff their attack and use S-crafts, Zeram powder to recover CP and then more S-crafts. I used Emma and Elliot for healing and using items.

And thanks to this advice (and after several more hours of the most drawn out ending I have ever witnessed)

After 125 hours, it pretty much ties with the longest its taken me to get through a game's main story. A lot of people told me they doubted I could resist jumping straight into the sequel, but I'm actually happy with leaving the series alone for two or so weeks while I disappear under a pile of school work and DQ Builders.

Anyway, ending was fantastic! Definitely was surprised by most of what happened (Though I did get deja vu when I was explaining it to someone else, which felt odd) and that's about all I really have to say. Game was far from flawless, with overly drawn-out cutscenes (those damn establishing shots...) , a wildly unpredictable difficulty curve, and a couple technical hiccups. However it certainly earns a place as an esteemed highlight of my gaming catalog.
Congrats! I'm glad you managed to finally beat it. And yeah the ending is fantastic. Out of curiosity, what difficulty level were you playing on?

I guess the starter evos seem to imply the earlier leaks were legit, if there were still any doubt.

More notably, there will be a demo in about 2 weeks! Looking forward to that.
Additional notes, you get a Greninja that can form change to Ash-Greninja for completing the demo, and we will probably know the size of the new generation the moment the hackers get the demo for datamining purposes.

Well I had a weird experience today. There is a Kickstarter I am backing (Endangered Orphans of...something Cove) where the creators have gotten a ridiculous amount more money than they were asking for. As a result they have been joking around about stopping people from giving them more money by doing stuff like "Anti-Stretch Goals" where they make a video about how they are going to include stuff like rubber bands or packing peanuts when they reach a stretch goal level or just commenting on how they have been trying to sabotage the project the entire time.

Anyways in the comments I made a joke about how the only way they weren't going to get 300k was if everyone suddenly abandoned the project because of something ridiculous like a twitter fight with a supermodel (making a joke reference to Trump's troubles last week). I then left for lunch. When I got back I checked the comments...and apparently one of the creators decided to make a twitter post calling five supermodels ugly along with a graphic saying something like "Last 48 hours Supermodel Twitter Fight." I don't think anything is going to come of this, but it is one of the weirder things to happen recently to me. O.o

As far as having game goes, I'd say my level of game is still more padawan-level than wizard-level.
Still significantly better than mine, which is youngling level if I am lucky (not sure what would be below that).

Actually, it's pretty easy to hide pockets in the more poofy skirts and dresses. I have skirts that have better pockets than my jeans. (Of course, this is partly because women's jeans tend to have shitty pockets to begin with, but still...)

And hey, once you're wearing a skirt, you might as well start carrying a bag. Even a good pair of pants will start too look off when you fill those pockets too much, but a bag can hold your average point & click adventure inventory. Do you need tissues? Cough drops? A charger for your phone? Aspirin? Some water? A snack? Tiny flashlight? Something to read? Hairbrush? 3DS? Sewing kit? Hair ties? Pen and paper? Archer tab? Tape? It's all in my bag!
But are they good pockets on those skirts? I think not. Incidentally, I am pretty sure that my wallet wouldn't fit in girl jeans because of how crappy those pockets are. >.>

And no I'm not going to start carrying a bag. I made the decision when I was 7 or 8 to master control of my body so I would never be cold just because I didn't want to have to deal with the hassle of taking a jacket off and carrying it with me when I got inside. (no I am not joking on that) I stopped carrying a bookbag during college (and never carried one during law school) because it was too much of a hassle. Pockets are simply better. :p

As for carrying an average point and click inventory, my pockets are amazing. I could carry all of that at once no prob if I ever had need for it. Although considering my buzz cut, there would never be a need for me to ever buy a hairbrush. >.>

I was being facetious.

The funny thing is that I'm sure plenty of people will try to spin this as a positive, like a "Trump can fix it because he knows how to exploit it" thing, since even if you wanted to plot that logic, that flies in the face of Trump's rhetoric of Laissez-faire policy masturbation.

Even with all that, the real joke here is how even if every single accusation made about Trump here is true, nothing he did is technically illegal.
Thing is, according to the article, he wasn't really interested in the details of his tax prep, so if we want to elect someone who knows how to abuse the tax code, we should probably be electing Trump's accountant rather than him. Not that any Trump supporter really cares. >.>

As for nothing illegal...that depends on whether we limit it to the tax accusations. If we extend it to all accusations, then the Trump U ones most certainly violated some kind of laws. You know if Trump were to get elected (seems unlikely based ion recent polls but whatever), that would be the weirdest part, we would have a president who during his first term would be having to fly down to give testimony on whether he committed fraud...which was completely known about before the election.
