So Konami wants to know which IP to use for their next Pachislot, or are they just trying to figure what rates to charge for their IP themed Love Motel rooms?
Wait...what? O.o

Alright, since I was actually able to get my last picture through, going to give this another try with...peanut brittle (prior to being broken up).

You guys are making me want to make a dessert! Those doughnuts looks nom. (So what DO you do with the holes! :P)
Recipe calls for use of a doughnut cutter which is apparently a thing, but I have never bothered to buy one, so instead I use a cookie cutter and then just use my fingers to make the hole in the center.

God those donuts look like something worth hurting myself with.
First time I made them, my friend/taste tester described them as being better than Krispy Kreme doughnuts. :p

Alright, going to try and share a picture of some donuts I made a few years ago. Image is hosted on facebook, so I am going to pray that this works right.

Glad to know it's out now.  I enjoyed the demo so here's hoping the final product lives up to its promise.
Whelp, 1/3 of it is out.

I know who's catering if we ever do a RPGFan get together!

(Answer: It's Starmongoose)

Dice can provide the soup course. I love soups, it's one thing I love to make too since it's easy to change up a recipe and experiment. One of my favorite recipes inherited from my Mom is a lentil soup.
I would be in charge of desserts if we had such a get together. I'll see if I can post some pictures later.

Record of Agarest War 1. Grinding my way through the game a little more than I wanted to. Normally I love strategy/tactical RPGs, but this one is a bit of a grind. The battles are stingy about giving you gold afterwards to use in crafting new weapons, armor, items, etc. You have to craft an item that will have to be purchased later and combined with items dropped from monsters to craft upgrades. You also have to max out a particular piece so that it can be broken down to use an unique item component for future upgrade combinations. Alchemy/crafting is fun, I just wish gold wasn't as hard to come by.

Also, it's can be crazy expensive if one of your character(s) die in battle. If the character isn't resurrected by a first or second turn before the battle is over, you'll have to go to town to res the character in "First Aid" for a hefty price (price goes up as game goes and character develops with more exp, etc.)

Just rounding the mark and started "second generation" yesterday. I know the game isn't the most popular among RPGFans, but I'm having fun going through the game when I don't have to grind it out for gold, lol. ;) I also like making the decisions that influence my direction in dark, neutral or light. I may just have to power through w/o grinding when I can. I think Aeolus said here, that Record of Agarest 2 is the best of the trilogy.

Oh yeah and there's also the dating sim element to the game where your decision prompts influence affinity of marriage/offspring outcome. Kinda neat and that feature reminded me of Fire Emblem: Awakening in a way.
I told you it was grindy, and it is quite possibly going to get worse as you are only around the 1/5th mark in the game right now. Also I was the one who told you 2 was the best. :p

So Pixels was utter garbage.
You went in expecting anything different?
249  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: TV shows axed too soon on: August 08, 2015, 06:10:14 AM
I'd say Warehouse 13 was axed too soon because that show should have had 10 seasons or so....actually I am probably fine with how long it lasted as I recognize that shows do have limited lives. I do however wish its last season was a full season so it could have had more time to develop the last plot line.

Also I was reading the production history of Star Trek the Original Series earlier in the week and it seems that it was cancelled prematurely also. Heck it seems it was effectively killed by execs who put it in a bad time slot for its demographic during season 3 (reducing its budget in the process due to lower ad costs during that time slot).

I meant to post something here yesterday but it's not in this thread and I have no idea where I posted it but it probably made no sense at all in context.
Only place you posted on the 6th was in the Anime Journal thread.

I just want to mention I honestly was liking the story of World Trigger when I watched it, and I think the battles could be just as good in Manga form since they aren't so flashy. I might have to give up on the anime version and start read it instead, because the pacing was killing me. Not even just the overall pacing - every single episode felt like it was dragging things out as much as possible. I couldn't take it anymore, even the Jin fight couldn't save it. :/
Well, the manga is better, so pick that up and support the official release!...have I mentioned World Trigger is one of my favorite ongoing series? :p
252  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime/Manga Journal on: August 05, 2015, 06:03:27 AM
I don't even remember. Probably somewhere in the late twenties or early thirties chapter wise.
Aww you quit right around the Jin fight which is when the series really started to get a grasp on what worked.
253  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime/Manga Journal on: August 04, 2015, 06:19:27 AM
Sorry, I'm going to have to pass on World Trigger. I gave the manga a shot a year or two ago and I personally found it to be pretty uninspired. Thanks for the suggestion regardless.
I'm curious, how far did you get before giving up on it?
254  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The unofficial "recommend me a game" thread. on: August 02, 2015, 06:32:31 AM
Guys... I'm bored

Name something fun to play. I doubt I'll play it, but who knows, i'm really that bored.
For something actually fun, play Muramasa Rebirth and/or its DLC.
255  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime/Manga Journal on: August 01, 2015, 06:50:49 AM
Any suggestions for new series for me to watch? I tend to skew toward the shonen series. My favorites include Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball and DBZ, Naruto and Bleach before they became bloated behemoths, and Bakuman. I also really enjoyed the Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. series, though it is a bit of an atypical series for me. I don't like the shows that are super violent or contain dismemberment, which is why I'm not a big fan of Attack on Titan. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I will always recommend World Trigger to everyone. The anime is made by Toie, so it has bad production quality. However the manga it is based on is one of my favorites week to week in Shonen Jump. Despite the low production quality, the anime does manage to accurately reproduce the manga (minus a few rare bumps), so I think it is worth watching it...at least until the filler arc starts in a couple of months.
