You could also contact sony for a service repair, which should run you 130 bucks in the states. Iirc they offer to "upgrade" your older system for a newer model too if you want.
I've done that twice, they just send you a refurb.....hence why I had to do it twice since the first one died again within like two months to the same problem.

Ending Requirements:
Normal- I'm not 100% sure, but I think finish the game without meeting the requirements for any endings
Character Endings: Finish all events and choose them in the final chapter
Harem Ending: See all character endings and meet requirements for all of them (auto happens the first time you meet the requirments, choice after that)

I personally am wailing on all the dungeons and side quests (Wake is currently level 50 and I just beat chapter 5, basically every boss dies to Bond Drive!). Fyi, you unlock the Dungeon Master class when you beat five sub-dungeons. Dungeon Master lets you see traps and if you have three in a group enemies have a harder time detecting you.

Edit: Lmao, I just did my first classmating of chapter 6, and ass shot. I figured I would be getting a new angle but I was not expecting that.

Yeah Chloe is sort of Mary Suish, which makes me wonder why Feene is treated like a goddess. I do however like Chloe's school outfit......her battle outfit not so much.

I'm about to enter the 5th dungeon myself. I'm enjoying most of the heroine events. Most of them seem to have some unique (to me at least) twist to them. Narika is still extremely boring though. >.>

I never really messed around with the Dark Knight, but I am voting Ninja as most broken because if properly set up it can do cap damage x8 in a turn.

Explain yourself sir!

I can't seem to deal much damage no matter how much I try.

*about to go up against Final Boss* o___o
I haven't played in more than a month, but what I recall is that to maximize the ninja you need the skill that increases damage when all attacks hit and someway to ignore the hit cap limit (I forget if it is a Diva spell or a skill from another class). Then boost atk and hit as much as possible through buffs and such. Bravex4 to hit for up to 8x max damage per turn. And that is all I remember about it.

Feene I'm still up in the air about as well. I haven't gotten any of her proper events yet. Just the 'give a gift' filler and the whole one liner about how her family specializes in a martial art technique revolving around kneeing men in the nuts.

Which normally might fall under 'eh' but considering how "OMG, I don't wanna damage God's Gift!" every other female in this game is, having one that just comes up and offers to demonstrate that technique (without any malice or intended to carry through in a harmful way) is strangely 'refreshing'.

Also. Class'man'ting and Tri-matiing...oh game, how you never fail to surprise me.
I'm very 'eh' on Feene, she comes off as too "perfect." She is perfect including being too humble to realize how perfect she is. It just doesn't work for me. Still leaning towards Ellie as the most interesting. Ms. Ghost is interesting also. A shame Ms. Ghost is stuck in the story of such an uninteresting character. Worst one is easily Narika though.

Side note, anyone going for platinum might want to check out this thread I made on Gamefaqs as I discuss some findings regarding a couple of missable events.

Edit: Oh wow, I almost forgot to mention this. Got some girls to three affection yesterday....wow does the classmating scene get awkward around then. What with the girl throwing her head back multiple times. All I can do whenever I see it is laugh because wtf. I just don't know how to process what I am viewing, and there are still stages left so it is only going to get more hilarious I am sure.

From what I understand, a lot of those old tales were never children's stories at all, back in their origins.  They were just general folklore.  Somehow those "fairy tales" got watered down into becoming children's stories over time.  Examples in this tangent include The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White.

Might apply to some of them, but not the Little Mermaid as the last page of the original manuscript as modified by the author is basically emotionally blackmailing children (the Little Mermaid can go to heaven sooner if you are good little boys and girls).

I was kind of shocked to be reminded while playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD that there actually *were* allusions in the original to the Keyblade War, the Worlds' origin, and even Xehanort's betrayal (sort of). I do think a lot of plot elements from the rest of the games still kind of made a lot of the first game irrelevant, but I had forgotten that those three big ones do kind of fit with the original.

I think I remember what the allusions to the Keyblade War and the Worlds's origin were, but I'm drawing a blank on Xehanort's betrayal.

There was abit in Ansem's Report when he met Mickey that the Keyblade was used by one to bring peace to the Worlds and by another to bring ruin, or something like that... it's a bit of a stretch but it sort of works.
Huh I just took that as a reference to the Keyblade War, although I guess it does make sense for Mickey to be talking about Xehanort considering retcons.

From my experiences, Dark Knight is the most powerful of all damage-dealing classes. With Adversity, Gloom and Rage, outputting massive damage is pretty easy and reliable. If you've also got someone restoring BP to them (Merchant, Performer), then they're pretty much unstoppable.

That said, Spiritmaster is the most broken/OP class due to Stillness.
I never really messed around with the Dark Knight, but I am voting Ninja as most broken because if properly set up it can do cap damage x8 in a turn.

I'm not convinced Victoria isn't a matured baby or something.  I don't get what/why her body is the way it is.  Ew.
You get new details each refight with them. Although one detail....that isn't discussed by Victor but that you can gather from otherconversations is that:
Code:
Victoria was actually supposed to be the next Water Vestal, but well stuff happened and she gets rejected.

Alternatively, you can use a hair dryer to buy maybe another day or so of use for it in order to get the disc out and back up your data (look up youtube videos). Question then becomes whether you want to buy a new one or get a refurb. I recommend against a refurb because it will probably die shortly afterwards.

Have any of you read the original Little Mermaid story by Hans Christian Andersen?  I think as adults disillusioned by Little Mermaid, you'd appreciate it more now.  In the original Little Mermaid story ENDING SPOILER
Code:
the mermaid does NOT get the guy.  The prince marries a human, and the mermaid commits suicide cum noble sacrifice.

Code:
What is supposed to be a noble sacrifice about that? She just kills herself.

It just felt deeper than that because
Code:
she becomes a sun spirit or something rather than just become mere sea foam.  Or is my memory fallible, as always?  I should read this again.

Code:
Just looked it up on Wikipedia, and the original ending is she just dies and ceases to be (because she has no soul). In the revised ending, she instead enters a form of purgatory where she can go to heaven in three hundred years, but gets time off for emotionally blackmailing children into being good. Also apparently she killed herself after having decided not to kill the prince and his bride in their bed. Oh and reviewing the story, I was reminded of the lovely tidbit that apparently the little mermaid felt the pain of stepping on a knife whenever she took a step as a result of the potion she took to gain legs. Children's stories were so different all those centuries ago.

Quick aside:

Just had something really odd happen. Had a Star Kid with Torri, didn't see any special notifications. However a huge list of class options opened up. Apparently this kid has a level cap of 99 and gets a special yellow star symbol under him inside of the dungeons.

...what just happened? o.O
There is supposedly a 5% of getting a "genius" kid whenever you have a star kid. In addition to having a level 99 cap no matter, they also have the benefit of getting something like 50% stat bonus n creation (hence why so many more classes were available because you met their stat requirements). I think I have made somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-60 star kids and I've currently gotten a grand total of 3.

Just got the Neon power in InFamous Second Son. Really liking this so far. I've already unlocked a bunch of trophies for completing half of all the missions and collecting half the shards so this must be a shorter game than the others because I have only played for 4-5 hours. The Cole's Legacy DLC stuff has revealed pretty much nothing so far, although I'm only on mission 3 of it and it only unlocks after certain parts of the story are completed. Hoping for something cool to link this game with the others.
Neon is great especially if you are playing the game good. I find it hard to believe that you have hit the 50% mark at only 5 hours. The game is short, but I would think you should be at 10 hours at least. Don't get your hopes up on Cole's Legacy. However do check out Paper Trail because it does explore the game's background a lot and it should be unlocking soon.

I am currently using Ellie as my main since she is the most interesting character for me at the moment. Just got Torri though so maybe her events will win me over.

I'm not sure how much the elements matter though.  I assume you could go through the game only using one girl if you wanted.

I stopped right after that boss but I assume I'll have Torri and Feene soon.  Mostly been using chloe and serina.  Chloe cause uh....dat costume.  Serina cause her first big special hits the whole field. Do any of the other girls learn an all enemy hitter quickly like Serina?
Element determines what elemental spells Star Children learn....so there is that. I dunno beyond that.

You get Torri soon but have to wait another chapter for Feene.

Just got one from Torri that's a wind all-enemy hitter.

Apparently in the 4th floor of the first dungeon's VR sim there's a chance of an enemy spawning that looks basically like a bunny and a slime mated. Barely hits for anything and if you kill it you get 1500 XP...holy crap.
Yeah you can get a few of those in the bottom floor of the 2nd dungeon also. The better place to grind them however is the bottom floor of the third sub dungeon (so you have to be in chapter 3) because I believe they are guaranteed to spawn there and last time I was there I think I encountered a total of 4 encounters with 3 each (so 12). I am so grinding them to get all of heroines up to the same level (29 because that is my current overleveled position).

I think I am required to add Conception 2 now to this list considering how many pages that thread has gotten about people saying it is a bad game. :(
