And that's a terrible idea that will leave you massively disappointed, as these extremely DP-expensive options only unlock fanservice CGs, but give no rewards. Remember this operates on the same principle as Ar tonelico: high DP costs doesn't mean the event or choices are important, it just means that it's extremely embarrassing for the person you're Diving into that you see that.

O.o Then why did the most expensive option I have gotten yet (10k) give me a good crystal (I think it was Atk and Def up)?

So got to Sarly's cosmosphere thing (really should learn the name of these things). I like the fact that we are getting to explore the minds of multiple characters, although I think I am going to be sad that I won't get to go through eight levels for any of them. Oh well maybe this means that there won't be a level....6 I think. The level where you nearly crap your pants because of how psychotic the divee has become. >.>

Kind of annoyed that there are such expensive choices on level 1 (seriously 7000?), but whatever

Don't worry about it, you can revisit all the old genometrics at any time.  It's not like Ar Tonelico where you can't go back to old levels after advancing.  Completionists have nothing to fear.
Oh heck no, I'm grinding and taking the most expensive option. :p I may be extremely overleveled, but that crystal from the 10k option!

Danganronpa 2

Really liking it so far. The trials are a bit more complex than the first game. They don't really shove the identity of the culprit in your face like the first one did. I think I preferred the setting and atmosphere of the first game but so far I probably prefer the second game more. The Zero Escape games have made me come up with theories about the game that might be slightly out there.

Code:
I have had suspicions about the main character and Nagito since the first trial and gotten stronger with each flashback. Random theory time where I can look back on this and realise how crazy/correct I was. I think Nagito is actually Hajime with his memories altered and the MC is someone else. Looking at Nagito's full name, it seems to be an anagram for Naegi Makota. I seriously hope this is a red herring like the trials are fans of since it just seems really lame. I wouldn't mind Nagito being a tranformed Ultimate Despair Naegi  rather than the MC discovering they are the ultimate hope Naegi at the last trial. As long as I don't get another Ultimate Hope ending I will be happy. It really lowered my overall opinion of the first game.

No comments on your theory. However I will mention that the overarching theme of the entire series is hope vs. despair, so while I won't comment on the nature of the final trial, I will say that the theme will be present in some form or another.

So Tsun Empire versus Dere Kingdom....yup this is a Cosmosphere. Oh god it feels great to be playing a Ar Tonelico game once again. Kind of annoyed that there are such expensive choices on level 1 (seriously 7000?), but whatever. Battle system is...an interesting choice. I can't tell if I like it or not. It is certainly unique though.

Synthesis in this game is some of the weirdest I've ever seen. Did you see the pained 'I don't want to be here...' expression on Delta's face? XD

It is great.

X-2 is the worst of the entire series.

And you seem to have lost some perspective.  Have the FF titles really gotten worse over time? Or have other contemporary titles just caught up to them?  Both?

I must respectfully disagree. FFXII is by far the worst FF game. I don't know if I would say that FFs have been getting worse over time, but the last really good one was FF9. Although I personally don't really hate FFXIII. I consider it to be a flawed game, not a bad one.

So read a summary of Ciel Nosurge to prep for Ar Nosurge coming out (probably getting it tomorrow). I'm torn, on one hand I would like for it come out because the world set up is really interesting. On the other hand reading summaries of each chapter still took me several days to get through, I can only imagine how much text is actually in the game, so I doubt there is any chance of that ever happening, even with the rerelease of the offline edition. >.>

So recently watched some of the recent episodes of Defiance. Loved how the last episode that I watched started.

*girl gets murdered*
*opening credits play*
*former mayor comes to inform Nolan of the murder*
"Don't have time for your drama of the week, world's about to end. Gotta save my daughter. Feel free to make yourself deputy though. Later."
*Nolan leaves with a small armory of weapons*

I love Nolan, and hate just about everything else about the show. >.>

Agreed.  Thanks a million for this Tomara!
I want to know of Muppy the Great!!

Muppy the Great is nothing before the King of Justice, Flay!

Iris is nothing like the PS3 titles.  It's much more of a conventional JRPG with crafting elements on the side.  There are no time limits of any sort.

That said, though the hardcore Atelier fans were upset by the drastic changes a lot of people seemed to enjoy Iris.  It doesn't really feel much like an Atelier game, though.

Good golly how I've wished for years they would return to the Iris formula for an installment or two. I'm probably amidst the minority of Atelier fans when I say it, but I REALLY felt "Iris" was a great direction for the series. In fact, I would go so far as to say it did wonders for fostering a larger fanbase for the franchise as a whole.

I personally would not regard the Atelier name as highly as I do if it were not for Iris.

Additionally, I can credit the first Iris game as the title that made me realize crafting items and inventory could truly be F-U-N.

Frankly I'd settle for a new Mana Khemia game as it basically was the spiritual successor to Atelier Iris. Although yeah, the Atelier Iris trilogy is what got me interested in Gust and is the reason why I have bought every single one of their games that have been localized.

Got all of the individual arena score trophies in Infamous First Light. Now I just need to grind out 3 million more points in the arena to get a trophy and the last skill point for the other trophy that is left, and platinum number 49 will be mine. Thus Ar Nosurge platinum number 50! Hmm need to figure out what I'll be doing while I wait on that game...

So, I just got into the Dragon Age Keep beta this week. I can't discuss anything about it due to NDA, but.....if there are any plot flags that anyone particularly cares about in DAO, DAA, or DA2, I can check to make sure they are in and if they are not put in a request for the plot flags to be added (obviously with no guarantee that they will be added).

Just (intentionally) got the bad end in Xillia 2. So awesome!

Spoilers:

Code:
Not that I've seen the good/normal endings yet, but I kind of wish the Bad end was the true one. So atypical for a JRPG and I loved the emotion of having to kill characters I've spent two games with.

I might change my mind when I see the other endings. We'll see!

As far as I am concerned, the game's true ending should be the Arena ending....because it is a nice anti-climax.

Mastering the arena's in First Light was the best part! I had a blast doing it. It seems daunting at first, but it really isn't once you get the hang of things.
Any tips for it? I think I did slightly better yesterday when I was trying it out, but I'm not even close to getting to 250k much less 500k.
254  Media / Game Journals / Re: A Game Journal Reborn on: September 18, 2014, 06:49:46 AM
Beat Infamous First Light last night. Currently debating on whether or not I want to platinum it. I mean I do want the platinum as that woul be my 49th platinum meaning when I platinum Arno Surge, that will be my 50th. But then I'll have to master the arenas, and I just don't know if I care enough for that. I probably should just try and get some more power upgrades and see if they help make the arenas any easier. >.>

"One Piece" was always something I really wanted to get into but the size of it intimidates the hell out of me.

Take the plunge! There is a reason why it is the best selling manga ever. It might be intimidating, but you won't regret the awesomeness you get for it. Plus the longer you wait, the more intimidating it is going to become, so the sooner the better. :p
