Yesterday, after a half an hour of endurance, I defeated New Year's Kamiizumi! It was all about using Rampart and Hasten World (which forces him to avoid using his counter moves and instead keep casting Susano-o and a simple attack), while flinging magic spells from two party members and Agnes being the healer Salve-maker. Damn fight took a dangerous turn when the boss changed his strategy halfway through. Still, I got my Unearthly Bun.

EDIT: Today's SQEX's Nemesis is a laughable easy fight...that can give you an Unearthly Bun. I better keep this to send it multiple times.

Today, I defeated Cutie Pi; Wooly Wool whatever and got myself a fourth Unearthly Bun.

Hasten World + Rampant was actually good to use, judging Victor kept using Moderation to recover BP points under the negative. I defeated them on my second try, but I was so close to the first try until my party was weakened enough for Bone Crush to crush my party bones fatally. (Speed is good, people!)

Eesh, that move should NOT work for bosses.

Bravely Default's success in the West is knocking some sense back into Square-Enix.

It's a song meant for super manly drunken men like Jetch.

It's the hybrid Nah's birthday!

She got a Slack Bow, which is unimpressive compared to the Celica's Gale a Shepherd found.

I haven't played this game in forever (since i beat it after 60 hours last year). If I put it back in and start playing will I get all these cool items you guys are always talking about or do I have to play on the days you guys post?
Meh, I don't really play that much unless I'm in the mood to fill those Support holes in my log.

Don't Japanese voice tracks entail licensing shenanigans?

Also aren't voice tracks larghueg and possibly impacting downloadable release?
Either is a reason, probably. I don't know much, but I did hear that Japanese VAs have a say in the matter. Probably why it's impossible for us to watch Japanese dubbed anime on television because that means we're listening to their voices across the sea.

Is there a reason Atlus does not include dual-audio on their games?

Can't you just turn the voice acting off if it bugs you that much? People seriously care that much about voice acting?
They like hearing otherwise gibberish they don't understand over their PROUD LANGUAGE OF THEIR NATION OF BIRTH.

Also, this isn't an Atlus game. They're publishing it.

I really enjoy class based games, it's really the reason why my favorite Final Fantasy's are the one no-one likes. i.e: FFV, or FFIII.
Bravely Default better be on that list.

You should all read the story the writer wrote before the events of the audio drama.

It goes something like this:

Um, elaborate. x)
http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/84750196.html

Read that if you want to know the full details.

But to summarize things...

Tidus and Yuna get stranded on an island together.

Tidus finds a "blitzball" and kicks it out of boredom.

The writer suddenly makes the scene so random and tragic by pointing out that Tidus actually kicked a bomb and died in the explosion. Yuna cries when Tidus's head falls to her side with a frozen look of shock.

Quick question about early chapter 4... does picking one path over another of the 3 available paths change anything, particularly side quests?
The two bosses from the two paths can be quite hard to beat. But it's okay to skip them over. You can find those two as normal enemies in the Bonus Dungeon.

Also, there are no sidequests, unless you want to see more voiced scenes by going to each dead end location from the left and right path.

So my copy of the game just came in. One, its a few days early. NISA has never been able to get anything to me on release day, much less the day before release. Two, its the Limited Edition, not the Regular Edition I paid for. So someone, somewhere messed up, and I benefited. It makes me feel guilty.
If I ever order a game, it'll be from NISA then.

It almost makes me sad, I feel like this game has been in development for a while...and going on review, it wasn't worth the effort.
It pains me to say this, but half the NIS games are decent at best regardless of development time. Sometimes I think they rely too much on overused cliches, and then other times I dislike their fetish for super level grinding.

OK, this thing has 64 pages so looking through it for an answer seems pointless. My question simple though: Now that you've played the game, DOES THE NAME ACTUALLY MAKE ANY SENSE?
It means, "Have the courage to act on your own, and have the courage to disobey."

There's plenty of that in this.
