And next up on my list is Path of Radiance. Once I clear this game, I'll be considering getting Radiant Dawn.

I think I like Shadow Dragon a lot. Changing classes at will is really fun.

Too bad the rest of the characters don't have supports or anything. Both Marth and Caeda seem to be the master keys to recruit all characters...

Before December, I didn't know diddly-squat about Fire Emblem except for the fact that Marth Debuted In Smash Bros...with Roy, and then Ike came along.

A little into December, and I was given The Sacred Stones for free because I'm part of the Ambassador Program. After that, I've asked myself WHY THE HELL HAVE I BEEN WATCHING THE GAMES WITHOUT PLAYING THEM.

Case in point, the games are simply awesome. I got Shadow Dragon yesterday, but anyway, discuss.

I never played it, but I've seen how bad you can get with bad grammar. This guy are sick, everyone.

Resurfacing machines essentially buff your cd. It's basically like a chemical peel for discs, works good once or twice, probably fucks the whole thing up after that. Small scratches get buffed out pretty well, though deep scratches don't really benefit well from it. Any major game retailer or distributor has one available, though expect to spend at least 10 bucks on it.

The store thing was just a joke, btw. No harm intended. Also, I asked about the system because if you were playing on an 11 year old ps2 or a 15 year old psx, that could be part of the problem. The reader could be on its way out if it isn't already, or other moving parts could be flawed now, creating grief. Based on what you said though, probably the disc is shot. Try the resurfacing machine, or if you're desperate, you can go to some appliance type stores and find a disc soctor or other buffer type device that does the same thing at a much cheaper way.
I got a new one that's also a Greatest Hit, and it works perfectly. Maybe it has to do with the fact this new one has a black coating below?

Either all the Greatest Hits of Playstation are in pretty bad condition or I have bad luck. The second new Chrono Cross I got ALSO has a strange circular pattern on the first disc (like the one I got before) which makes it unable to read.
Um, just because I have to ask this now, you did check it before you played the disc right? Only asking cuz maybe the issue is from your system, like a misaligned disc tray or something. Also, you should stop buying from that store if my first point is not the case. Lastly, you could always try resurfacing the disc. It works sometimes...

Are you playing it on psx or on a ps2 or ps3?
Of course I didn'y buy it from the same company. I tried it on a different one to see if it worked. And for the record, I did check it. Both tries were in the same condition. I'm a bit new to the word so I might've done it before, but what is resurfacing?

Yes, I'm playing on my PS2. And despite the fact it's really used, it doesn't have issues reading partially scratched PS2 discs.

This is why FFIX is the best FF:

<Zidane> WOE IS ME GARNET IS MARRYING SOME OTHER GUY I HAVE NO WILL TO LIVE TIME TO DRINK MYSELF INTO A COMA.

<Freya> Zidane quit being such a goddamn putz.

<Zidane> Good point.

And then Zidane quit being such a goddamn putz and was rewarded for his efforts with bountiful pussy.
Don't turn this game into a fifth-rate soap opera.

IX felt unique to me in that there was an obvious feeling of magic and fantasy like the first games in the series were. It helps that it's like a first Final Fantasy going into 3D without using hi-tech cities and all that.

This is a game I outright love. Even though I literally started loving FF games by playing this one first, I can safely say it's one of the best FF games I've ever played after FFX. So yes, discuss about this specific game.

I started playing FFIX with a new set of discs so that I can finally finish it once. I overleved Garnet right before her Eidolons are taken to use Shiva early. Nice achievement?

Ugh, that stupid seller that sold me my Chrono Cross copy gave me a defective first disc. I'll have to contact him and complain about it to find a solution.
447  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Disgaea 4 on: January 11, 2012, 01:35:44 PM
The thing I keep wondering is: how much do you have to play Disgaea to need DLC?  That game's got nearly infinite content out of the box...
My guess is pure fanservice.

Then again, ever since Nintendo gave that reasoning about DLC making a game feel incomplete, I'm starting to wonder if the Disgaea games are incomplete from the start.

Even more DLC is available now.

- Prism Ranger
- Celestial Host (Main Hero B event)
- Pirate Survival Tournament
- Gargantua Bridge Map
- Battleship Gargantua

FF II.

That is all.

If I can ignore the fact I'm controlling a very weird pre-teenager who got a growth spurt in a year, I'll be fine. I'd rather control Roxas.
