Thanks, SonicDeathMonkey. (Amazing name!) Hopefully the other people who watched but didn't comment didn't find it too cringe-worthy either. The line that seems to win everyone over is "My chest is very hairy." Hahaha.

Alundra has such awesome music doesn't it? The final dungeon has my one of my favorites themes of the game. I was thinking of having a DAH DAH DAH section in MOST of the songs like this, I do. I just love singing along to game music (don't we all?) but my voice lacks beauty so this vocal style works pretty well for me. I've never done a chill rap before. Hmmmm. I will definitely keep your feedback in mind for future tracks, Ramza. Thanks a lot for commenting. I think I should do something super mainstream next just to get more people watching. Maybe some FFVII or FFVI. I definitely want to do lots of dramatic ones like Alundra and Xenogears.

34  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Dark Souls 2 may have less memorization on: June 25, 2013, 08:16:33 AM
I'm really excited that they are planning to add some randomness to the game. If everything doesn't happen exactly the same way every time, the difficulty could be a whole new world! Sounds crazy.

"the world's first HD animation RPG."  What exactly do they mean by this?  Isn't any game that is in HD counted as having HD animation?

Also, did I read the first post wrongly?  I thought that we play as the prince but all the screenshots are of Toki.

I see.  Thank you, John
37  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Xenoblade or Final Fantasy 12.. what's your preference? on: August 21, 2012, 07:56:00 PM
Reading this thread is SUCH a pleasure.  I've only played FFXII and I totally loved it.  But Xenogears has always been my favorite RPG and I've always been telling myself that one day Monolith Soft is going to come back and make the best RPG ever.  Then Xenoblade comes out (ON THE WII?! AAARRRGH!) and it gets perfect reviews and is said to be way better than FF12.  AWWWW YEEEAAAH!

Grinding for souls is totally optional, though.  I love how this game is set up so that it's possible to kill any boss with almost any build at any level and almost any equipment.  I agree that it's not THAT hard.  The two harshest things for me were the instant death falls and other players invading and killing me.

I'm a little confused.  Does this mean that the game has a different title now?

So why don't people consider Yakuza an RPG?  I haven't played it so I don't know.  Thanks.

Well, does Yakuza have experience or levels?

My friend described this game as "way more fun than GTA4" so I really want to play it now.

I recently realized that my TV doesn't have component inputs, so Hauppage might not be the way to go for me. But I've thought of some options.

Could use the component output from the PS3 to the Hauppage and the HDMI output to my TV and would it send the picture to both? In other words, I'd be watching myself play on the HDMI cable but recording what comes through the component cables.

Another thought I had was, what if I got a DVD recorder instead. They're probably cheaper.

What do you guys think? Thanks for your help.

Awesome.  I think you guys just totally destroyed my problem.  Now I have to check how much it's gonna cost with shipping to freaking JAPAN!

Thanks a lot.
44  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / I need to record PS3 gameplay footage. on: October 23, 2011, 04:27:14 AM
Do you guys know a good way to do that? I am willing to spend some money on it. Right now I have a somewhat weak laptop and I heard that video capture cards are usually the type of things you have to install. So I don't know if I can do that unless there is a USB video capture card. I want to record in the best possible quality. The Angry Video Game Nerd uses a DVD recorder and then I guess he just rips the DVD with his computer. So that's a possibility as well.

I just don't want to do another video the way I did my Catherine review (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuqlk3oi1TE) which was by searching youtube for videos in which people played the way I wanted them to.

To sum up: HELP ME!

Thanks.

Have any of you played it yet?  I want to know how the graphics look on an HDTV.  And did the lag problem resolve after all?
