Awesome and of course thank you.

Here is my way of beating strong monsters.

Find a landmark.
Find a monster that's technically your level, but strong enough to kill you, with minions.

CHARGE!...kill minions, weaken boss, Die.

Do that until you level up twice.

I swear it's fun.

they arent alike but vesperia cast is just so boring to me. rita had potential but she melts fast. i thought judith might have potential as a sheena clone but she is way to laid back and thats boring  as well.

from what ive read around the internet the prime reason people like vesperia is because of yuri. and the event critical to that just had no effect on me.

Yuri and Rita were the best characters in the game, but I think Raven was a close second.  That said I think you have a point, their personalities kind of burn out.  They have moments, but they are not sustained throughout the game.

I only have one complaint.

I can not find the guy, with the name, at the time, in the city....i can see this happening a lot.(To turn in random sidequest XXXX)

Otherwise, I wish I had more time to play.

I've been meaning to mention, if you want questions from the listeners, what's the email?  I think someone mentioned, for the first time, an actual location where emails would be sent, did I imagine that?

While I'm here, I have demands.
One: A podcast about why FFX-2 is awesome because Dress Spheres are silly, but still awesome.
Two: Let talk about why tales games couch co-op is good and how it could be better.

Rob: When my demands are met, you will get back your puppy.

Love the show, Many Thanks to Zach for getting the show out so consistently!

OH YEAH and what Reversable Cover was chosen for the Xenoblade Box?  I pre-ordered it, so now I can't wait to find out.
6  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Mass Effect 3 on: February 07, 2012, 11:05:53 AM
Amular Demo(which keeps breaking), Mass Effect Demo, Get Xenoblade, Get Mass Effect 3, Get Tales of Graces f and play that local co-op.

My grades will suffer for this.

After thought: Wii game, 360 Game, PS3 Game....

As long as me and tali are alive, I don't care what happens in M3.  I didn't want to romance the female options in 1 anyway, so I can't wait to spread my quarian germs across the galaxy.
7  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Fire Emblem Series on: February 07, 2012, 10:39:34 AM
I've played some of the Old Fire Emblems two or three times on the Gameboy, Bought the Wii Radiance of Dawn or whatever, without playing the GC.
I love fire emblem, even if it's stupid/hard at times.

It can require an almost masochistic dedication if you want to keep everyone alive while building those little relationships for stat boost and so on.
They will probably never give it a quality story, plot, or stop remaking the first 2 games....BUT it's still good for what you get.

Ace Combat is kind like that.

But if you like tactical/strategy games fire emblem will fill you with joy.

The third and fourth I like, the first and fourth are in a relatively close race.

I want all the box covers, not because I would use them somehow, but because I am human and greedy.

The Battle system is pretty fun, nothing like getting ridiculous combos and "BLAH BLAH BLAH" (Though I do love my grandiose long winded spell casting)

The story is, a tales story, so when you have too much time between play you get lost in the convolution of it all.
Your best bet is to force your way through the story until you hit a new plot point and then you will be provided enough relevant information to enjoy the story for what it is.  Unless say, you stopped play 5 hours before the end.

You know what I, would love to hear you talk about in the podcast?

Co-op RPG's.  More should be made!  How many RPGs are co-op, online or my favorite, the couch kind?
I decided my post was too long so I posted the whole thing else where. http://www.rpgfan.com/boards/index.php?topic=10456.0

Co-op RPG's.  More should be made!  How many RPGs are co-op, online or otherwise?
In the case of games like Tales of symphonia/vesperia and Eternal Sonata.  Having someone to fight things with, or be your chauffeur when you don't want to walk across the world map, get fetch quest number infinity, (My friend won't stop making fun of my 30 minute usage of stores in vesperia) is great.  If we can enjoy either the combat or the story, (God Forbid Both)  then it's perfect.

Isn't it easier to do then say, Split screen?  Is the balancing for a human controlled player more of a challenge then balancing for 3 extra AI party members? Even if it's like deathspank, where the 2nd player can't level or anything, that's better then nothing at all.  I mean if you already have a game with more then one party member, or multiple interchangeable party members, that does not shoot bullets which necessitates split-screen, why not let controller two have drop in drop out functionality.

What's wrong with couch co-op Dragon Age?  Co-op Final Fantasy?  Co-op makes everything better right?  Work on this Japan!  If you create another Star Ocean, give me some Co-Op.

For the record, I've only played Torchlight, So while I would Imagine Diablo falls into this category somewhere, I don't know where.  Huzzah!

ROFL.

Tsundere is not something that should exist, it is something that exist so agony is hilarious.

So is this really awesome sounding game considered an MMO or what?
I'm so reluctant to play MMO because they are so grind heavy and if the story or kills get old....

Also it's awesome that they are having it free to play.  Great interview, I would have never heard about this game, *signs up for hopeful beta key*

P.s.  How does one use this itunes contraption to express my numerical appreciation for the auditory broadcast? Iz lost boss.

Oh wait, I found it.

Gotta agree with Stephen.  DS3 was built around couch-coop, and I think you'll get a great deal of enjoyment out of it.

Well, i suppose it's either that or wait till march.  If only there where more couch co-op games.
15  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What classes do you enjoy playing in RPGs? on: December 01, 2011, 12:21:28 AM
I used to play Healer/Warrior
I tend to go for a Jack of all trades, Master of none approach.

Now, I've started to grow a liking for the rouge/ninja/glass cannon/ high dps style characters.

But Then again, I do like my white mages.
