Sapphire Version was the first Pokemon game I actually played, so I am mega stoked for this. Though I might get Omega Ruby for the sake of variety...

I remember really wanting to play Soulsilver Version but then I didn't pick it up and now copies are going for $70-$100. *sigh*
At least GameStop sells them a little lower than the original price...if you go to the store in person.

I might have to look into that. Thanks! :)

With the exception of the Dragon Quest installments they worked on, I've never found Level 5's RPGs to be particularly enjoyable. I'm not sure if it's the weak writing, boring combat systems, or higher emphasis on synthesis/alchemy, but I just can't get into them.
Aww I actually like Level 5.....I mean I can't deny that most of their games are flawed at best. But I still like them. If they could just put in an extra ounce of polish I think they could make decent game. :(

It's cool that you like them. :) I just haven't been able to get into any of Level 5's games outside of Dragon Quests VIII and IX and maybe the first Dark Cloud. It's not for lack of trying, I was really stoked to play Rogue Galaxy for instance, but ended up not wanting to play it after a few hours.

Those would be some of my general pet peeves with RPGs, as well.

I am in full support of a future discussion on video games with good writing.

Also, good episode. Kind of interesting listening to the Versus XIII segment now that the rumor was debunked.

Gotta say, I really do need to give Xenoblade another shot. With limited access to a Wii, though, I ended up starting Xenogears for the first time, to have a little more frame of reference for Takahashi's previous work. So far I'm liking it, although apects of it really haven't aged well.

Good episode. Can't say I'm terribly invested in the Mass effect debacle (never been a fan), but Jon constantly witholding Diablo III from Rob was worth it. xD

Think you guys'll talk about Graces F in the next episode?

Finally had a chance to play this game, and I'm really glad I did. Possibly one of the best DS RPGs I've ever played. I really like the way time-travel works in tandem with the gameplay, it's fascinating.
