Xenogears.  I have a save in the final dungeon (a big, empty black/gray area navigable in your mechs) but gave up.  I sold my discs, too.  Not sure if/when I'll ever get back to it, since I've forgotten most of the game.  Except that the best party is Fei / Citan / [does not matter, because of Fei and Citan].

This week's One Piece manga has one of the greatest Usopp gag faces ever.  Majestic.

Played some Ratchet & Clank HD last night because... why not.  Having some trouble on the branching path area in Orxon; tougher than I remember.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Makalov OR Zihark now.  I was using Zihark, but he had two garbage levels in a row (didn't reset, because other characters had great ones) and there are plenty of other good sword options.  I'm probably going to give Astrid and Kieran swords once they promote, as well.  Might give Kieran bows; not sure.

I'm running and re-running this desert map to try and get all the items and maximize my bonus EXP.  Is it worth it to try and beat the map without killing any of the non-boss Laguz?  If not I'll just make sure to get the boots and Stefan and waste as little time as possible.

Also, magic users.  Soren is pretty good and Ilyana isn't.  I'm not sure if I should put some BEXP into Tormod once I get him or not, but I do plan to use the prepromote sage that everyone seems to like.  Should I try and use all three of those (future) Sages?  Or just Soren and the prepromoted one?

I love Rudra.  A weird and rare gem that throws a really unique, bizarre, and interesting world.  I feel like they put a TON of ideas and didn't really flesh many of them out --- but I loved it nonetheless.  The spritework was especially fantastic, I actually don't think any SNES-era Squeenix RPG every bothered with the same amount of love.
I would argue that Seiken Densetsu III did, but I'm a fanboy for that game.  Got bias.

Played some more Fire Emblem today.  Now at chapter 15.  Story is getting pretty good.  Politics aren't quite as black and white as other games in the series that I've played (FE 4, 6, 7, 8).  Nephenee, Astrid, and Oscar have turned AWESOME.  Oscar is only character to have promoted thus far.  A few others at 19 or 20 unpromoted.

Persona 4 The Golden Animation. TV anime, follow-up to Persona 4 The Animation.

That sucks, man.  I've also had some financial difficulties coming at the worst possible time since I'll be out of the country in a few weeks.  Turns out money when you want to do some traveling.

I accidentally deleted a full blog post again.  This time it was maybe 50% done, so not as bad as that first time, but I know why it happened: the undo command.  Blogger's template only saves two or three operations in its ctrl+Z cache (I think that's how it works?) so if you hit ctrl+Z a fourth time everything is deleted forever.  It saves so quickly after that command that I only had a few seconds to close the window before saving, but didn't figure it out in time.  That's a few hours of my life gone.  Back to the drawing board.

I could be wrong, but I think that was an SMT x FE crossover and not Persona in particular. Could be that there are Persona characters in that game, but this new announcement seems to be Persona-centric.

Wanted to continue playing one of my RPGs du jour (FE9, P2IS), but I wasn't feeling it.  Ended up playing Civilization V for three or four hours.  Whoops.

It's probably just an announcement about which Persona games will be making an appearance at E3.
Nico Nico follows E3 that closely?  My guess is that it's either a big unveiling of P5 or a yet-unannounced Persona game.

Apologies if this has been shown elsewhere, but there is an "important Persona announcement" coming this Friday, May 2nd.  It's unknown if it's a new project or a special announcement about of the four upcoming Persona games.

As of the time of this edit, I've sold eleven games between three RPGFan contacts.  Thanks for your support!  I'll keep the first post in this topic updated with my inventory.

All prices ARE negotiable. I might add some PS2/PSP games to this list, but I'm more attached to those and they'll be harder sells (for me).  I need all the help I can get.

I'm kinda fucked.  Metaphorically.

I paid all of my April bills last week, but ended up with VERY low savings in my account because my quarterly bills (HOA and water) both landed, with a late fee from the HOA because their first mailed bill was lost in the mail.  So my April bills (other than mortgage) weremore than double as expensive as they usually are.  And this is with me trying to afford a trip to Europe in a few weeks (planetickets already paid for, thank goodness).

And THEN my annual car insurance payment hits me this morning.  I'm at a negative balance at my bank. I called them and found out that I won't be affected in a major way since my paycheck comes in on Friday (they have several days' grace period for this sort of thing), but I have NEGATIVE money right now, except for what's tied into my mortgage account (which I won't touch).  Not fun financial times for me right now.

EDIT: whoops, wrong topic.

I played Fire Emblem last night.  Jill and Astrid seem good, but I am doing a lot of hard resets so they get good levels with BEXP.  It's a little frustrating, but I'm aware it's self-inflicted.  Whatever.  This is a solid Fire Emblem game.  I should probably get a 3DS to play Awakening.  If I had money.
240  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Completion List 2014 on: April 27, 2014, 09:56:08 PM
It probably speaks to my tastes and preferences to say this, but I thought that inFamous 2 was much better than the first one (which was also really good).  The more textured city, the more diverse, interesting powers, the improvements to fast-travel systems, and the increased variety of enemies put it way over the top for me.  And hey, I thought the story in inFamous 2 is really good!  The twist with The Beast was a little out there, but Zeke really came into his own as the most interesting character in the whole series.  Whether you go for the good or evil endings.

As to making commentary on this thread... I'm good.  Every time I beat a game I write a review on my blog and then add to the list here.  I'll just keep doing that.

Games Beaten: 2014 Edition
1. Ys Seven
2. Rayman Origins
3. Assassin's Creed II
4. Dust: An Elysian Tail
5. The Walking Dead (season one)
6. Frog Fractions
7. Mortal Kombat (2011)
8. Digital Devil Saga

Hmm, I'm a little behind....
