Well, the Taipei Game Show only goes on for another two days, so hopefully we'll have a real announcement soon.  I gotta say, though.

...I'm with Kael on this one.  Gotta be a new Ys or a new Dragon Slayer.

My guess is that it's a new Legend of Heroes game with PS4/Vita cross play.  But in any case it's exciting stuff - I love recent Falcom joints.

So... is this going to happen again?  I'm busy the next two weekends and the weekend of March 1st, but in mid-February I can play a game.  Or host another game.  I don't care.  What's gonna happen!?

Just saying, the ultimate missed opportunity from the most recent episode: Stephen understands

ESPN used to air National Aerobics Championships.  Not joking.  I think I've discovered the 80s Singularity.

This is what I'm dealing with: Rayman Origins, 9th treasure chest stage.  This is the hardest stage I've unlocked.
249  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Completion List 2014 on: January 19, 2014, 03:07:00 PM
Not really.  I cheated a little on that 2011 list.  A few games were abandoned playthroughs that were over half-done and at least two were arcade runs of fighting games.  My 2012 and 2013 lists are more honest.

I've been making lists of my games played since 2010, and since 2011 I've been recording them in my blog.  Having checked those lists, it looks like I finished 35 in 2010, 50 in 2011, 26 in 2012, and 25 in 2013.  I was a little set back in 2013 since I beat Persona 4 twice and Persona 3 once (2nd time overall), wasting probably 250+ hours on three playthroughs.  Hopefully that won't happen this year.  I guess I'll try to hit that 2010 mark again and try to beat at least 35 games in 2014.  That might be doable.

Rayman Origins can go fuck a duck.  The bonus areas are WAY TOO DAMN HARD.  There is no way in holy hell I'll ever unlock the hidden area, which is probably even harder than those aforementioned bonus stages.  I... I think I need to work out some anger issues.  Maybe play something warm/fuzzy/easy like Kirby.

Monsoon, how far are you in the game? Do you have all of the powerups? Some of the bonus stages you're supposed to go back to later after you get a new ability.
I beat the main story, but I'm playing a few of the treasure chest stages and doing some Lums / Eletoons cleanup.  I'm at around 180-190 Eletoons and four teeth.  When I said "bonus stages" I was talking about the treasures.  Those are murder.

Because hey, it's been a new year for a few weeks now.  Check this out:

1. Ys Seven
2. Rayman Origins

TWO GAMES BIATCH.  ON PACE FOR THIRTY-SIX-PLUS.  THAT WILL TOTALLY HAPPEN.  (it won't)

The lack of stat and skill distribution in Diablo III just murdered the game's replay value for me.  I wasn't making MY Barbarian or MY Witch Doctor - I was just playing exactly the same character everyone else was playing.  Even if you customize skills, runes, and passives, it just makes conforming to a cookie-cutter build easier than ever.  TL2 was a nice compromise between the lack of risk in Diablo III and the 20 points of terror in choosing skills in Diablo II.

Also, Rob.  Come on.  Why are you treating a demo like it's the introduction to an entire game.  Derek has the right of it - it's not a great demo, but it's a ****ing demo.  It's trying to cram as much gameplay crap as possible into a limited space.  Story and characters are a non-factor for a demo.  Most Bravely Default fans already know if they want the game or not; I was pleasantly surprised that there's a demo at all.

Put me in the camp that played Path of Exile, Diablo 3, and Torchlight 2 and adores Torchlight 2 vastly more above all of them.
Is there a way for me to send you a high five buy you a drink over the internet?  Because I would love to.
