Finally beat DKCR.  Last few stages were a real pain.  But honestly, my favorite video game genre other than RPGs is platformers, and this was a hella-good platformer.  Too bad the new DKC is for a console I won't own until at least 2016.

Big fan of Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Agricola when it comes to "regular" board games.  For more roleplaying-ish stuff I'm way into Betrayal at House on the Hill.  Win conditions different almost every game, and it gets REALLY DAMN DRAMATIC if you sink good playtime into it.  100% recommended to everyone that likes character-building games, variable win conditions, and horror themes.

Speaking of love triangles and friends.

Has this thread mentioned Vyse x Aika x Fina?
I hadn't, but I guess I was thinking more about couples.  That is as obvious a threesome as you can get in a PG-rated game.

I used to watch Kim Possible with my younger sister, because it was on before her Disney shows (Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens).  KP was solid stuff.  I think I have the first KP movie on DVD somewhere.

I heard that Bonkers was originally going to be a cartoon adaptation of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but they couldn't get the license for whatever reason and remade the concept with new characters.  Too bad.  Bonkers was okay, but not my favorite.

Starters:
Jolteon
Alakazam
Rhydon
Starmie
Tauros
MOTHER****ING SNORLAX WHAT

Bench:
Dragonite
Venusaur
Hitmonlee

EDIT: I should mention that this was the most recent time I played R/B.  My first time I'm pretty sure it was mostly Venusaur, Zapdos, Snorlax, and Starmie.  Whatever.  TL;DR Snorlax and Starmie are the best.

Holy crap, I remember Fillmore, but I think it was slightly after my time.  Did it last very long?  I remember thinking it disappeared.

**** all that.  Bulbasaur all the way.  Annihilates Brock and Misty.  By the time you get to Surge you have a Geodude, Onix, or Sandshrew, and by the time you get to Erika you should have a Kadabra*, Growlithe, or Vulpix.  Some of us don't have the time to level up a Charmeleon in the Viridian Forest.

*remember, every Grass pokemon in Gen.1 is also poison element except Tangela

Had a lot of fun replaying inFamous 2 and Torchlight II (Classist achievement - beat the game with all four classes).  I'm going to play a little more T2 this week, then finally move on to some old GameCube stuff.  Want to beat least two more games for the month of August.

EDIT: forgot Rain-Slick 4.  Whoops.

Also between Dincrest and Darilon pretty much all of my Disney cartoon viewing experiences have been covered except for Goof Troop and Quack Attack. Both of which are unfortunately a product of its time (even if Goof Troop led to that SuperNES game and A Goofy Movie getting made).
Do you mean Quack Pack?  Because that show was great!  DuckTales was my favorite Disney cartoon (watched it in a block with Darkwing Duck, TailSpin, and I think Gummi Bears?) but Goof Troop and Quack Pack were worthy late successors.  I still preferred the WB cartoons (Animaniacs, Batman TAS, Superman TAS), but Disney Afternoon had some quality in it.

The only comics I've read from Aspen are a few of their Executive Assistant issues.  The writing is... lacking, but the art is good and cheesecake-a-riffic.

I'm voting Lunar II, Lufia II, and Dragon Quest V.  The epilogue in Lunar II is as feel-good as romance endings get.  The credits from Lufia II are as cry-hard as romance endings get.  And I love DQV's emphasis on the hero's journey to become a man, and meeting the girl of your dreams, marrying her, and seeing your children grow up to be the heroes that save the world is really neat.

Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy Tactics, Donkey Kong Country 2, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Mega Man X.  I could play those games forever and ever.  I might be able to say the same about Persona 4 - I played it for the first time in January, almost immediately replayed it in February into March, and I kinda want to play it again.  Holding out until I buy a Vita, though.

I was only touching Rpg's with my earlier answer... DKC 1-3 and Mega Man X 1-3 also hold some of the finest nostalgic value of all for me as well! Fine tastes you've got good sir :)
Aw, thanks!  I went with X1 and DKC2 because, well, X1 was my first SNES game (I could only afford one, so I went with Mega Man and had my MIND.BLOWN.) and because of DKC2's tone.  DKC2 has better stages and music than DKC1, and has an overarching darkness about it that makes you feel surprising dread, especially considering that it's a platformer.  I really enjoy X2, X3, DKC1, and DKC3, but it's the first MMX and second DKC that I will always want to replay.  TLDR DK is better than Mario.
